That ending, I wanted to cry but all I could think about was One More Day. I don't even care that the Status Quo Is God in the comics, I just look for good runs and enjoy myself. Guess it's what I get for following too many Caustic Critics.

@Hobgoblin

They're probably saving invisibility for Miles since that, and the Venom Strike, are two of Ultimate Spiderman (Miles)'s core abilities that set him apart from Peter.

If Miles is playable in the next game he might have a more stealth oriented move-set though I wonder how they'll handle his venom touch.

And back to the Superior Spider-Man topic, it could work for the third game. Miles has finally come into his own & has to battle Ock in Peter's body thus proving himself worthy of the mantle of the Spider. Plus if Peter's his own wealthy scientist/CEO by then they could even bring in Ock's spider-army like his spider-grunts & spider-mechs to fight against.

TBH

I'm kind of hoping MJ becomes spider woman. I feel kinda cheated it didn't happen despite being hinted at like most of the game.

I'd prefer if we got Jessica if we get any Spider-Women. Her powers are completely different from Miles and Peter's after all.

As the story goes, he was a reformed criminal, and his younger brother Aaron also had a criminal record, and he didn't want that to reflect on Miles so he had Miles take on his Mother's Maiden Name.

Wonder if it's the same in the game's universe.

Anyway, kids taking there Mother's last name is not that uncommon.

I would like to add... Taskmaster can go sit on a chair made of needles.

The level three pass marks are INSANE. And yeah yeah "Git gudscrub" MIGHT apply. But when Spidey randomly zip lines despite me aiming, that's when the traversal becomes a frustration rather than a joy and the game works AGAINST you.

I'm just getting solid silver on all of them and moving on. The third tier just feels TOO much. It's weird - I can do amazing moves just going through the city, but put waypoints in and I got to shit.

I like the idea, but I'd have preferred more Riddler challenge style puzzles than obstacle courses.

[up][up] But his gimmick isn’t being clever, it’s physically mimicking shit. Insane acrobatic moves are way more within his wheelhouse.

The Sinister Six stuff was great, but I wish they were in more of the game (Mr. Negative aside, seeing as Act 2 is almost entirely him).

[up][up] I know, just finding it incredibly difficult. I mean, I know it SHOULD be hard, but the third tier feels ridiculous.

Thematically makes sense. Just find them incredibly hard and a shift from the rest of the game. Probably because I dislike "star" rating mission types. Always makes me feel I'm not playing properly or "missing out". But i understand the desire for a challenge for the top tier players.

Yeah, the challenges do expose how fiddly Spidey's traversal can be when you really need to get somewhere.

It drills a more intuitive sense of how far his maximum range for swinging or who directional his momentum for ziplining is and why, because otherwise he'll actively work against you, and even then sometimes that won't. Even when you get better at it, it feels like you're learning how to work around the mechanics rather than necessarily utilizing them.

Since the pages are edit locked, can we add this to the YMMV page?:

Older Than They Think: Some commentators argue the web swinging as being the best in the series, citing past games that have you latch onto the sky. That said, while the swinging is good, it was previously done, and in a more Difficult, but Awesome, complex way, in Spider-Man 2.

Other games have had swinging on objects as apposed to the sky as well. It's been a thing in Spider-Man games for ages at this point.

Now that I remember that glider mission in Shadows was fucking awesome.

I wonder if they're going to do Wraith in the DLC, or if that might be one too many people Peter cares about turning to the dark side in a misguided pursuit of justice.

Granted, they could have Yuri be the one person he's able to bring back from the brink.

I love how "You knew?" has the potential to be Heartwarming if you think about when they likely found out, but in the present context with everything that's happened, it winds up making you detest that person.

So am mostly done with the game, getting towards the end. Just went through Osborne's Penthouse and felt like I had been smacked with a giant foreshadowing cluebat. The obvious Goblin Gear, the freaky treatments for Harry, spiders with electrokinesis and optical camouflage etc. I also noticed that when the sinister six first showed out of prison I had been seeing Doctor Octavius already constructing their equipment in the lab claiming it was for defense contractors. Doc is also an odd mixed bag. He is offering the six real meaningful benefits to work for him, things they weren't getting from the system. Then you get back to the lab and of course, Peter comments how Doc was already heading off course all along. That was actually pretty clever.

Either way, what I'm saying is that some videos, like that one, don't mention the web swinging dating back to Spiderman 2, and make it seem like it was an innovation this game had.
