That one actually got a bit dicey at the end - My Friend's Merlin got pounded pretty hard by Kingprotea just before she hit her limit and was left exhausted and defenseless. But Merlin was still standing erect, so he, David, and Ritsuka got to triple-team Jerker to work her up some more after she'd been left edging with a full load for over 20 turns, and then finally let her whip out her black dragon and erupt all over Protea's thighs.

More I think about Jacquis, the more I think he is similar to Gilles. Both of them are knights with some kind of relation with God, both of them have this weird half-armor, half-cloth aesthetic going on, one of them are accused of occultism and then executed by people higher than them due to selfish reasons. I am definitely oversimplifying things here, but I still feel like they are oddly similar. Honestly, I am surprised that they resisted the temptation to have him be an Avenger. Especially when he's NP line is basically "I lost all of the glory I had, now I will take my frustration on you."

I had to stall for 50 something turns to finally land killing blow on Protea, courtesy of fully maxed friend Melt

So I think that totals 5 debuff resets. So a lot of finagling to make sure my stall team doesn’t die out

I'm up to the Type X mission. Sigh.

I think Jacques de Molay is not an Avenger because he actually got his revenge posthumously by God's own hand.

The legend says that when he and his fellow templars were burned at the stake, he sent a curse on the current King of France, Philip the Fair; Pope Clement V, and the original House of Capet.

In less than a year after Molay's death, both Philip IV and Pope Clement V died in painful circumstances, and in fourteen years Philip IV was followed by his three sons, all dead in sudden and/or violent deaths, ending the main line of the House of Capet and kickstarting the Hundred Years War.

Clearly he will be a parallel to Gilles in that his plot function is to dump some deep lore about Foreigners

Can someone enlighten me about this guy? Some sources I've found said he was trying to have internal reform for the Knight Templars, others say he tried starting up another crusade before his death... just who was this guy anyway? Since all I can get for certain is that he was the last Grand Master of the Templars, and cursed the kings of France after being burned at the stake.

He doesn't seem to have much info on him

I've heard that some Mongol leader with a relatively similar sounding name ended up taking Jerusalem around the 1300s which led to some very confused people in the 18th century making paintings about him doing it instead?
