Speaking of Fuuma, I wanted to look into that second set of measures given in his Material profile, assuming this is in regards to Ogre Trance. Using Asterios as a point of measure, Fuuma would be 12cm shorter than Asterios, but 45kg heavier than him. Where does the extra weight come from? Top-Heavy Guy, or would he be "fat, but muscular" like the large oni enemies. Also I honestly forget how heavy Heracles is. Do those stone parts really add so much more weight?

That to me is then more of an indictment of how GO and TM uses characters and the interpretation of them as it is in setting.

I’m trying to be respectful of other people’s desires and sensibilities of wanting likable leads and have fun with it and not mock it.

I see what I identified as a current inclination that I find fault with. Nasu had not shied away then in exploring and presenting the ugliness, the depravity of people who lived, while still offering hope. When I perceive this happening as an attempt to make scenarios to appeal more as a way to indulge affection, to entice people to spend more and attachment that ignores this or clumsily make peace with it,

Honestly, while I can see the reasoning behind keeping their portrayals light, it also leads to bad takes from people who treat Servants as completely disengaged from IRL history/popular discussion and come to bizarro conclusions like the idea that critiquing Ozymandias in any way is racist even though Fate throws its lot in with the popular historical theory that he *checks notes* enslaved the Jews and refused to let them go.

So bit of mixed feelings on the matter.

Though *that* particular hot take was from three years ago on hellsite Twitter so idk maybe the Discourse has gotten better.

Honestly Izou is still a complete idiot and a loser who can be clowned by the girl he's torturing so I'm pretty satisfied personally. A little murder never hurt anyone

CRV seems specific to the Tohno bloodline and it’s branch families. The general principle of mixed blood in the context of demons (oni) is called Inversion Impulse.

Shlugo: Of course oni eat people. Why do you think Raikou went to kill Shuten? Lowering the nearby property values? They might even just be doing it for fun: It's noted that Ibaraki isn't much of an oni, but she'll still kill and eat people the way a wild animal would. Meaning that's not why oni normally do it?

Rebel: The desecration of Penny's body is only a part of some tellings and there's some evidence to suggest it was a later addition by a Roman author who just straight up hated Achilles because Romans consider themselves descended from Trojans. There's absolutely no indication that it took part in this continuity.

About Boudica. I remember being amused to read that when it came to her war with the Romans, the Romans are actually the ones who had easily the better tactics and generals.

Orihime: Even one of the Gudaguda events acknowledged that Okita is still basically just a hired murderer deep down even if she's being a goof.

Anyway, I always appreciate those little reminders of a Servant's bad sides. Mordred in Camelot, Shuten in Shimousa or Tamamo and Liz in Extella, though I'm going secondhand off the Extella thing since I can't stand the game itself.

^^ I'm okay with finding a murderous sociopath funny and adorable depending on context. I am also okay with murdering cute and hilarious characters if they deserve it. The sooner we kill Fou, the better.

There's a version of his myth where he rapes Penth's corpse or something. Not the case in Fate, it seems.

It was mentioned in a poem/kind of became a popular take that Achilles committed necrophilia (to what extent, take your pick) with Penthesilea's body after killing her and removing her helmet to discover she was beautiful.

Honestly, apart from my not being charmed by Fou, it's literally true: The faster we kill Fou, the better. Isn't he regaining his intelligence and power? That's really bad. They should kill him before he goes full Primate Murder on us after being exposed to the Lostbelts.
