I think in the present that while there are still stories of Pele being around, she's not indicated to be doing anything. Like, she's an old lady who will ask you for cigarettes and you better give them to her but... it's kind of a step down, you know?

Hm. Maybe double Skadi start + Lakmshibai, plugsuit Nero Bride in round 2 for 30% NP charge, 45% NP gain and 40% attack up for hopefully more overkill would work? Whenever I get her I should try it out.

My Internet is acting up, so I'll take that as life saying it's break time.

I'm still on Loop 2 because I'm not being super-serious about the event and am just doing it twice a day until my AP bar goes down.

Also I love how much of a change of pace this is from the Ishtar race. All of the cutscenes aren't huge walls of text anymore.

Summer 2's long and often circular cutscenes are more the exception than the norm honestly, who even wrote it?

And then they changed the artwork†. Odd, that. It's like artwork is a bad choice for choosing a TL.

† And not even in NA, in the event rerun. Given that it was drawn by someone who only does some CE art and CC art for the game, it seems like a pure fluke.

This event has more cutscenes than the previous one.

Nasu wrote the first Summer on his own, but from Ishtar's race onwards, Summer events are always done in a way everyone can participate.

Summer 2 is a main plot with one half by Nasu and other by Keikenchi (don't know which is which), but with everyone writing for the own racing team:

• Nero and Salter: Nasu
• Nobu and X: Keikenchi
• Edison, Tesla and Helena: Higashide
• Scheherazade and Nitocris: Unconfirmed but probably Minase because Sheherazade.
• Moriarty, Fran and Babbage: Meteo
• Sanzang and Raikou: Through process of elimination, Sakurai.

Summer 3 is a main plot by Nasu, don't know how everyone else contributed.

Summer 4 is someone that's not Nasu writing the beginning and the end, and every writer writing their own casino in the middle.

• Himeji Survival Casino: Probably Minase.
• Pharaoh Casino: Probably Sakurai because Egypt.
• Suitengu Invidia Serpens: Nasu.
• Rakuichi Rakuza: Keikenchi.
• Cirque de Requin: Meteo, very unsubtly so.
• Casino Camelot: Probably Higashide.

Iirc Summer Fran's writer is Higashide solo so her team might be him.

Just rechecked and Fran's team is officially confirmed to be Meteo. The only ones unconfirmed are Sakurai and Minase.

Shez and Nito could be Minase because Shez, but also could be Sakurai because Egypt.

Meanwhile Sanzang and Raikou could be Sakurai because they're both characters created by Sakurai, but also could be Minase because horny.

Oh, that makes sense. Although the idea Nasu left Camelot to someone else is weirder than the idea he left Melt to someone else.

In that case, I belive Minase wrote Osakabe and Higashide wrote Camelot with Mordred and Moriarty. Everything fits nicely like this.

If he gave the actual plot to Higashide, it's probably fine. Higashide without supervision is bad (he's peak evidence for why editors exist). But one scenario is fine.

Wait, why would Minase be in charge of Okkie? He's not her scenario writer, Daisuke is.
Minase feels more accurately fit for that description. He's the reason editors exist. It's because of him we got Agartha after all.

And Higashide with too little supervision gave us Apocrypha, with its combination of being a total trainwreck, having a terrible main character in favour of interesting characters, and trying to copy scenes from F/SN without any idea of why it works. But when Higashide's kept under slightly more observation then nobody complains and he still gets writing credits.

Daisuke Moriyama is the artist, yes, but Osakabehime's writer is Higashide.

Apocrypha may have been a trainwreck, but there were still good points in it and the characters that actually got focus were fleshed out. It's thanks to Apocrypha we have Mordred, Amakusa, Achilles, Chiron, Astolfo, Atalante, and Semiramis after all. Agartha meanwhile lacks that excuse. Every servant introduced there required massive retooling to make sure they weren't despised, with Schez needing numerous entries to get fully rescued, Wu needing an interlude, Penth needing an Alternate Universe version via the Amazoness CEO, and Columbus being solidified as a flat out Hate Sink.

Higashide unsupervised can still make good characters and plot points, and when supervised can improve on the ones they failed to do on their own like with Sieg, Fran, and Avicebron. Minase can't do shit when unsupervised. Only when supervised can Minase actually do good work, since Schez's rescue, Tell, Asclepius, and Lakshmibai only came as a result of Minase being supervised in his work.

Higashide is argument for the existence of an editor. Minase is an argument for how you can continue to be employed at a job you should not be doing.

I thought Penny was fairly received as a character, even if a bit two-dimensional in concept with her obsession.
