What do we know about the line up of the 3rd war? I know Avenger Angra was summoned in place of Berserker by the Einzberns. A puppet user summoned that short Hassan with the expoding brain trick. And the Edelfelt sisters got a 1-in-2 Saber deal because of their sorcery trait. (How did the comand seals work with that any way? Did each sister get a full set, or did they only get one and a half each?)

I heard a claim about some Apocrypha material saying Darnac had Lancer Fion and the Sabers were Beowulf but is there any truth to that?

Lancelot is pretty much a quintessential bad fanfic OC: comes from a place different than everyone else (France, in that case), supremely skilled at everything he puts his hand in, and disrupts the established order of things with his very presence. It's just that his disruption causes a lot of troubles that an average fanfic of today would gloss over with no thought left.

Living in the 1900s is not the same as making your legend in the 1900s. All of Tesla and Edison's significant inventions come from the nineteenth century, same with Nightingale's involvement in the Crimean War and her written publications.

IIRC, when they needed to show Darnic in third HGW for the anime, there were three Servants considered which include Fionn and Beowulf.

EDIT: Okay, Hidashide considered either Fionn, Beowulf or Tristan to appear as Darnic's Servant, and Fionn was ultimately chosen. It isn't in mats, Hida just tweeted about it.

Oh, that makes sense. Although Beowulf does seem like a candidate for the double Saber thing if one was him when he killed Grendal (young) and the other was him against the dragon (old).

No, Lancelot receiving the brunt of the blame for Fall of Camelot is too much.

Granted, only Agravain and Galahad do that, both of which are very biased against the man, while ironically Artoria herself is pretty lenient.

I like the guy, but him killing Gareth was just evil and he deserved every comma of that "The Reason You Suck" Speech Moriarty gave him.

It was not intentional. Thats not evil.

Just because he wasn't looking who it was, it doesn't make it accidental murder.

He immediately regretted it and stopped his attack. He didn't even know it was her iirc.

If Lancelot didn’t knew how Gareth looked like without her armour that’s one thing, still, attacking an unarmored and unarmed opponent who is not fighting back is generally a douche move.

As we all learned with Bojack Horseman, regreting the harm you've done doesn't undo it.

Yeah, he feels guilty and everything, but he still killed Gareth, in a very cruel manner, I might add.

And I feel the need to point out that when Moriarty accuses Lancelot of being aware of what he was doing, the latter never says anything in his defence.

So he might've not been all there in the head, but he had more control of his faculties than he's willing to admit out loud.

It isn't whether or not Gareth had her face concealed, it's that Guinevere's execution is when he went crazy.

Partly because Artoria chose to overlook his part in the mess, which is textbook case of accidental guilt-tripping.

I would say Arthur>Merlin>=Lancelot>Morgan. Those were the only 4 I've heard about before Fate/.

Lancelot is definitely one of the most famous Arthurian characters, it's likely only Arthur himself and Merlin are more well-known than him
