Borderlands 3

The game is officially announced. It was unofficially announced about two days after Borderlands 2 came out. Apparently it might have a slightly different title, which I assume would mean a subtitle.

Yay, new thread. I've talked to Le Garcon about this a bit already. I'm curious as to what the playable characters will be like/if they'll be former NP Cs.

I hope they'll be good. To be terribly honest none of the Pre Sequel Vault Hunters really excited me until they added in Lady Hammerlock.

I love a good sniper character.

I stuck to the Sirens in the first two (it'd be nice to have a new one in 3), but used Athena in Pre Sequel.

Odds are we'll get another military character (Roland, Axton, Wilhelm/Athena), another woman with sadistic tendencies (Lilith, Maya, Nisha), and another sniper (Mordecai, Zer 0, Hammerlock).

Aside from that, I don't have a clue.

I think the only thing we've heard recently was that Chinese Borderlands MMO that never got off the ground. They could re-use the characters from that, though their classes appear a bit generic. Does anyone read Chinese? Siren, Hunter◊, Berserker◊, and Soldier◊.

I had quite a bit of fun with Not!Jack.

Huh, I admit I like the 1st 3. The Siren's cute, the Sniper's way hot especially those fish-legs & while the Berserker does look a lot like Brick he still loos pretty badass.

The Soldier on the other hand just looks way to plain & boring. Too typical normal-ish pretty boy & his armor looks weird.

I really preferred TPS's characters and skills. I really don't see why people think TPS is meh because of them.

He looks like he took Rhys' colour scheme. Since he's a Hyperion middle-management rather than an actual fighter (and Hyperion's fighters use yellow), that's probably why you think it looks funny.

I liked the Pre-Sequel's skills, there just weren't enough of them. If you got the add-on packs increasing max level, eventually you just had all the skills, with barely any variation.

Ya know, the thing I honestly want the most outta this game is for Claptrap to finally get some respect or at least treated like he's not an absolute shit-stain by everyone. Seriously especially with all the shit that happened to him in the Pre-Sequel it just breaks my heart how everyone treats him so awfully.

In their defense, he is REALLY annoying.

So Scooter really is dead?

I thought Tales wasn't canon?

Pretty sure it is. If we see Scooter telling us to catch a ride in 3, we'll know it isn't, but considering how much it shed light on off-screen events, it'd be a lot of work for the main game to say that all didn't happen. Uh, after you're sure you're past the Unreliable Narrator aspect, of course.

Tales is canon as far as I'm aware. And, knowing Borderlands humor, they'll probably have a mission or two where they poke fun at the 'Choose your own adventure' aspects of the installment where characters might argue over certain details.

We also see the beginnings of the Jack AI in the Pre-Sequel.

TL;DW: An IGN guy hazards his guess for whether we'll get an announcement for Borderlands 3 at E3 with no new information on the game.

Not much news, but something weird did pop up. Elon Musk has been on Twitter strenuously denying any plans to market a personal flamethrower, (and having a lot of fun with it), and Randy Pitchford came in.
