It was one of the grenades he's always had on his belt; this is just the first time one of them has been used.

I suppose that is true. Kirishima seems to be a good person for him to be around.

Also, yeah, those grenades have been there since he got his costume.

Well, that's certainly a lewder interpretation than I had in mind, but I suppose it does fit with her continued gag of getting naked all the time.

In an unexpected bit of news, Funimation looked to LA to cast the dub voices of the new characters in the movie Two Heroes. Erica Mendez, Ray Chase, and Keith Silverstein will voice the new characters.

Maybe it was, but I don't think it listed the cast.

At least it was in the manga. Maybe I looked at it wrong, but I think the anime turned into a regular finger gun.

People are rather quiet on the latest ep.

More to the point, it seems they're taking a break from the plot next week for a special ep of some sort. Seems like an odd time for such a thing.

Next week is the nation-wide Japanese charity event "24h TV - Love Saves The Earth", in which every TV station changes their program and sends stuff related to the charity event instead. Most normal programs don't run (i.e. Detective Conan anime, which has the timeslot right after MHA), but MHA instead decided to air a special episode that ties-in with the charity event and the movie.

[up]The timing is the reason for the thing. Next Saturday has a nationwide charity event where every TV channel sends only programs related to the event.

Hero Academia, instead of skipping a week, gets a special episode for the event. It was likely either that or no episode at all.

Huh something should really tell that to everyone complaining about it being a filler-episode.

Nothing they could do about it really, just make the best out of it.

I'm watching the dub of the episode where Team Yaoyorozu beats Team Saiko.

There's a bit that reminds of something I forgot to mention before. When they first detect Sai's group Tsuyu wonders if they're a group that got separated from the rest of their school and are hiding.

A superhero podcast I like, Red Panda Adventures, has a quote for exactly this situation in a conversation between the Red Panda and his sidekick, the Flying Squirrel.

Red Panda: You know what my problem with that idea is?
Flying Squirrel: It's a best case scenario?
Red Panda: It is, in fact, a best case scenario.

So that was a good episode. Some nice focus on parts of being a hero that, while obvious when you actually think about it, probably isn't the first thing to come to mind.

I have to say though, I feel like the anime has made Inasa much more subdued than the manga. Not just his voice, but the severity of his wind. I thought the same thing during his 120 balls thing. It didn't feel...as strong as I think it should.

Wasn't it intentionally toned down here to rescue people, though? Also, I see I was right about Bakugo. [lol]

I decided to read up on how this test ends. Not sure if I'll keep going past the anime, though.
