So...how is everyone? Did you eat breakfast yet? Take a shower, meds, etc? Good, good.
Anyways TTYD IS GETTING A REMAKE

I think this is more of a remaster, but semantics, yay, please don't give me hope about Mario and Luigi.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.Surprised the first game didn't get this treatment.
Mileena MadnessYEAH BABY!!!!!!
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.First Party remasters usually get the "HD" added to the title and there's not one here.
Compare the SMRPG remake to the Luigi's Mansion 2 remaster.
At the very least, I consider it a remake because of the artstyle change, even if there's very few gameplay changes.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Thousand Year Door was probably one of the first games I ever really committed to, in large part to its charm and humor. It is a core part of who I am and I am so happy to have it back. This news simply means the world to me.

People have noted that there's a new purple toad in a Chinese outfit in the Glitz Pit Plaza.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."So it seems like Nintendo is willing to revisit that old outdated Thousand Year Door game after all.
And make it brand new. Glorious.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. On a serious note, it makes me wonder if they're doing it as a test to see how many people are interested in the old Paper Mario style, as opposed to games like Sticker Star and Origami King.
I'm voting with my wallet, and I'm going to encourage everyone I know to buy the game to send support.
I miss classic Paper Mario, and while I enjoyed Origami King, I'd love another game in the old style.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I hope this ends up being the kick in the pants that removes the stick up Nintendo's ass about Paper Mario and actually lets the series be creative and fun again.
I also wouldn't be opposed to a Super Paper Mario remake at some point, it does have, IMO, the single greatest story narrative in a Mario game.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonI think it would be a good direction to go back to the drawing board with Thousand Year Door. I've felt Paper Mario has felt aimless in what it wants to be for awhile, and I'm sure many people feel similar.
To think we'd get both this and a remake of the original Super Mario RPG so close to each other. It's nuts.
Never played this one. I was playing the first Paper Mario on my Wii U, but when the gamepad on said Wii U broke, that put a quick end to that.
One Strip! One Strip!I definitely recommend playing The Thousand-Year Door if you get the chance. It's a really fun game, and probably my favorite Paper Mario game (though since I only played three games, that probably doesn't mean much).
Yeah, I'd def recommend Thousand Year Door as well. There's just SO much creativity on display.
Mario in a wrestling federation and solving crimes on a train for example.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. All they need to do is add a few warp pipes to cut down on backtracking and I don't care what else they add after that.
This is going to so good ahhhhh remixed OST!
And we have our The Force Awakens. The Return to form that's too much like the originals.
You know, the Paper Mario-Star Wars analogy that's sometimes around.
(Or maybe this is a re-release and the real Paper Mario The Force Awakens will be on the Switch 2)
Boy does that comparison reek of shoving a square peg into a round hole.
As much as I hate the Paper Mario/Star Wars shoehorning, I feel like this is more akin to the Special Edition movies, but a lot more well-received.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.I'm not expecting the Switch version of The Thousand-Year Door to have that many changes right now (I go into these things without much expectations), but I'd definitely welcome any quality of life changes or extra stuff added.
If they make another Paper Mario in Zed style...
Hopefully they take cues from the modern Paper Mario games in terms of World design.
Backtracking won't be so bad if the game isn't extremely linear.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie."Somehow, Dimentio returned."
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.
Update: For some reason, I honestly don't see Bleck agreeing with Dimentio that "it's kill or be killed" despite absolutely wanting to destroy reality and his history with his tribe and his father.
