Appearently, Hyun got commissioned for something three months back and just put the final fight of the season on hiatus. They showed a scene of the fight on Twitter last month to show they had it in process... but yeah, radio silence for five months with ONLY explaning what happened months later does feel kind of like a dick move imo.
What's more mixed is that appearently, the next season may be focused PRIMARLY on fights with Dragonball characters. People were quite divided to say the least.
