Also Xena's signature weapon is the Chakram.

the space ghost short in brave and the bold caught me off-guard. that was an amazing cameo
Yes, Wonder Woman existed long, long before Xena (first appeared in 1941, I believe). I'll agree that I prefer the Wonder Woman who is simply outfitted with her bracelets and magic lasso, but the armored Wonder Woman with sword and shield seems to be the way DC wants to go, at least in the comics, films, and cartoons (classic Wonder Woman, like classic Superman and Batman, still shows up in print merchandise, like storybooks, greeting cards, and whatnot).
Although Scooby Doo's is even better.
On Wonder Woman using a sword and shield, I honestly don't see the problem. Yeah she is a super hero and should mostly use her iconic bracelets and lasso, but let's not forget she is a warrior trained in ancient Greek combat. Don't really see how her suddenly using said weapon makes her a "savage" meanwhile fellow DC superhero, Hawkman, uses a variety of weapons throughout his career as a hero (including the Mace).

When? Couldn't recall him being dub as such.
-One Google search later-
Huh that explains it. Considering how I am going by my knowledge of the character which doesn't relate to the Dark Age and New 52, he is more a hot headed headed hero than a violent anti hero.

It also had plenty of serious material, tons of action, and story lines that continued on into many future episodes, not to mention a huge amount of worldbuilding. I pointed KND out because it was a series that had a lot of different elements that worked and stood apart from many 11 minute shows of its time.
"That's a to-go order. See! It's already gone!!"Yeah and besides considering all the other 11 minute comedy shows (Regular Show, Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Gumball) those manage to contain substantial amount of character development and well written story arcs in spite of said limit. All JLA will be is the action version of those shows.
Plus let's not forget those DC Nation shorts and how well received they are in writing in spite of being one to two minutes long and have a comedic tone

I also want this show to better focus on actual hero work instead of slice of life stuff like Batman getting a cup of coffee or some bullshit like that.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."You have to admit that Batman getting a cup of coffee though does sound quite amusing. He is often the comically serious guy after all. Although I prefer my comedic batman to stay in the Lego movie universe.
"That's a to-go order. See! It's already gone!!"True I admit it be a good joke but just a joke, not to have a whole episode about it & add in some random nonsensical shit like a Coffee God.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I'll have to agree with you there. You want more substance, and I think most of us want the same.
"That's a to-go order. See! It's already gone!!"JL beat you to it (the Doctor Destiny episode).
The above is my favorite Justice League episode (mostly because it recreates the debut of classic JLA villain Doctor Destiny . . . minus any plans involving gravity and disguising as Green Lantern for obvious reasons . . . though considering his ability to make dreams into reality he could of successfully trick the JLA that he is Green Lantern . . . though then again the extent of his powers in this show only works when people are asleep so nevermind).
But yeah, as long as the show has substanence I'm good. Preferably Brave and the Bold substenance and not Unlimited substanance (my god, I can't spell that word right).

So its "na" in the middle of "sub" and "stance" I have to get rid of . . . wow, I wasn't really expecting somebody to actually bother with correcting me when I could of easily Google search the correct spelling.
Boy did I made this thread go off topic.

Unlimited and Brave and the Bold are two different things, so I'm not sure what you meant.
Geez, folks, I don't mind arguments but could you * please * read my posts fully before responding? Because I DID mention that Diana came before Xena. Still, More people today associate the latter with being a savage warrior than they do Wonder Woman, despite DC's efforts. And btw in case it isn't obvious, I don't care at all for their dark reimaginings of superheroes.
I was just merely contrasting the contents between the two. Both are light hearted takes on the DC universe with a focus on super heroes taking on super villains in a Saturday Morning manner. The difference to me is that I find Batman Unlimited to be generic and nothing more of a toy commercial (which is totally the point), while Batman The Brave and the Bold provides unique characters and a story which definitely hides the sell toy motive (even lampshades that fact from time to time).

Also, another image featuring Wondy and Bats.◊ Probably pre-alpha designs, so I doubt Wondy's look here is going to stick.
I thought that image had already been posted here.
Good news on the writers, though.
If this article from Newsarama is correct, we've got some news regarding voice actors.
Not only will Brent Spiner appear as The Riddler, but Mark Hamill will also voice Swamp Thing(!) and Kevin Conroy will also be...Plastic Man?
Also, happy 100th post, everyone!

Wait, didn't Wonder Woman come before Xena did?
