This thread shall be dedicated to World building, All in the Manual and Word of God stuff, and other discussion pertaining to Worldbox.

Worldbox is a forum adventure game that I will be either reviving or rebooting by the end of the month. Link is here.

To make a long story short, this game is a command based game about a handful of kids trapped in an mmorpg and the experiences they have as a result.

To make a short story really long, you should probably read through the thread.

The world inside the game is divided up into about 5 main areas, not including player cities or adventure lands. Four of the five areas are based around elements I've seen often in mmorpgs, with the other one being a huge City of Adventure.

The main areas:

  • Playverse City - City of adventure where just about any type of event can occur. Help centers and cheap housing make it an ideal place for starting players.
  • Imaginex Kingdom - Traditional Medieval Fantasy Environment. Seems to run on classic rpg and fantasy tropes. Players can become a hero in various classes, taking on a long string of classes. There's also a player city nearby dedicated to a more magical society.
  • Helios_02 - Space base turned city after its reopening. Home to futuristic and some other scifi tropes. Space exploration runs more on strategy and supply management, but player's can also build gadgets of their own here. There's also the recently added "space cop" system, which is similar to the questing system from Imaginex Kingdom.
  • Anima Peninsula - Or as i like to call it, Anime land. Different towns lean more towards different anime genres. Home to a surprising number of superheroes and villains as well. Adventure lands nearby can be dangerous due to the variety.
  • Battle Island - Home to various attractions and most ranked Pv P gameplay. Most tournaments and shooter-like events are held here.
Other Areas:
  • Adventure lands - Lands full of cool adventure stuff. Areas contain elements relevant to the nearest main area. Some make good spots for team or player battles.
  • Player cities - Cities built mainly by other players. Some tend to revolve around other themes, like Labyrinth or Everville.

Plaverse City also happens to be home to mainly NPC run businesses. Player cities tend to have player-run shops and restaurants, so prices may be a bit higher than usual.

There's also a chain of shops that holds different items per day, including rarer items. I have yet to figure out a name for it, though.
