Upon further thought, I think the name of the first episode, "Josh Just Happens to Live Here!" would be an excellent title for the series as a whole.

So it just occurred to me, and there's an excellent (possibly accidental) subtle character moment for Josh in "That Text Wasn't Meant for Josh!": When he goes "There's only one Becks" and she goes "Well, there's only one Josh Chan," it's oddly telling that he goes "actually there's a lot of us... it's a really common name." Kinda goes to show how he just doesn't think he's special or unique in any way. The reason he keeps thinking of Rebecca is because she makes him feel loved and adored for the first time. Considering he's been with Valencia... roughly forever and she's so controlling to the point that he can't do anything without her making him feel inadequate, it's oddly fitting for a dumb throwaway joke.

So it's finally happened. I've met someone who has seen some of the show and didn't like it.

She says she watched five or so episodes and it just never clicked.

... weird.

Promo for the new season! YAAAAAY!

I think I saw Rebecca in a cactus outfit running in the desert. I love this show.

One of the costumes for Rebecca's first music video in Season 2.

Hmm. I think they took it down and reuploaded it to include the words "Emmy-winning" (they won for best credits sequence and best choreography). You can see it now.

The first music video of the new season is here. It's a parody of Beyonce's Lemonade called "Love Kernals."

It not only features Rebecca dressed as a cactus, but also she breaks the Fourth Wall to declare that they used up their entire production budget on this music video, so Darryl will now be played by a broom.

Also, new theme song!

At the EW Pop Fest, Rachel Bloom and the others performed the JAP Battle and "We Should Definitely Not Have Sex Right Now" live. And then she confessed that she would love to play a dead whore on Game of Thrones.

I'm really not a fan of love triangles, but this show's really pulled the concept off well, largely because they've made the three involved be realistically flawed and given some valid build up to how they've ended up in the spot they're in.

That scene with Rebecca and the sweater would have made me roll my eyes in any other show, but the writing in the fountain scene and Bloom's performance on hearing Greg's confessions really adds a heartbreaking element to her emotional state. For as wonderfully theatrical and TV quirky Rebecca is a times, the series really does do her quiet and painful moments justice.

How are people watching this? It seems this season isn't going on Hulu so I'm sort of at a loss.

Check out the CW app. Recent eps are free there. And if you are outside the US, Netflix gets each episode a few days after it airs.

Oh damn. This episode was so damn good and I thought, man, how are they ever going to bring Greg back and apparently the answer is they aren't. Santino Fontana only had a one-year contract with the show and now that's over. Oh man. The show is really changing, but he certainly went out with an awesome song.

"It Was a Shitshow":

"We Tapped That Ass"

"Makey Makeover"

The ending where she goes "I had a stroke! I had a stroke!" made me crack up so hard.

"Ping Pong Girl" is probably my favorite song of the season, both for humor and catchiness' sake. Helps that I still genuinely love that kind of music.
