Ben listened in on the suggestions, as well as Kieri's explanations on how the universe was for Marcus before he came to the city.
"Man, that stuff's harsh," Ben muttered, noting that there didn't seem to be a single group of people in that universe who were entirely pleasant. Most of them were downright monstrous. He stood.
"But Marcus isn't in that universe anymore! And we can't simply knock him out or cut off his legs or whatever, cause if we did that we wouldn't be any better than him! We have to somehow get him on our side, cause right now there are more important things to fight than random innocents!" He snapped his fingers and grinned. "A way to save the city, and make him think he's working for the emperor."

"I was hoping someone here can strip him off his armor, somehow. Cutting through flesh and bone, no matter how much of it, is manageable even with normal tools." The cleaner sighed, then turned her attention to Ben.
"How old are you?" This seemed like a strange question considering the context.
grahAs Ben began to formulate his plan to bring Brother Marcus to their side, Sawyer asked him how old he was. Ben's smile turned into a frown, and he glanced over at Sawyer. That was a weird question. Not to mention completely unrelated. But whatever, he obligingly answered.
"Oh, I'm 10," he told her, shrugging. "Why?"

I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither."More specifically, we called ourselves the Order of No Quarter," Plague Knight elaborated. "Despite the Enchantress's rule over Pridemoor Valley was more laissez-faire than iron-fisted, we were still the most feared and most powerful warriors to ever grace the valley."
A beat.
"Except King Knight," he added. "He's just some pompous dandy with delusions of grandeur. But anyway, she was finally vanquished by a wandering warrior of the title Shovel Knight. The details of how are sketchy, as the Enchantress possessed magic at a far higher level than any of the most powerful wizards at the time to where she could theorecticly warp the very fabric of reality. It may involved some sort of necklace or something, I know not. What is important is that I was the one who blew up her Tower!" he said rather proudly.

DAMMIT MARK, STOP HOTTING HELPY!!The Library - Time to be the rational one
Adam looked over the Space Marine information, "Not happening. Not unless you have a degree in biology and Biotech," Adam noted.
"This guy is basically a augment, somewhat like me, only less cybernetics more extra organs and muscle mass and a few cybernetic connection ports."
"You've told us a moment ago that an eight-feet-tall blue knight tried to kill you because he saw you as a heretic." Sawyer frowned in kind.
"I assume you did not make a mistake of attacking him first, but your assortment of powers made him assume you a weed to be rooted out. A ten-year-old."
A moment of silence. "Do you really wish to try and make peace with someone who won't blink to take your life in a flash?" The sunken-in eyes of a deadman focused fully on Ben, almost as if looking at his very soul.
Then, on a slightly less serious note she looked at Adam, mildly displeased with the revelation. "I run a meat-packaging plant. Does that count?" Truly, having a single monotonous voice somehow didn't take away Sawyer's sarcasm.

grahBen winced at Sawyer's glare, it pierced right through him and it made him really uneasy. He went silent, unable to respond when faced with such a look, until Sawyer turned her attention to Adam. This managed to help him put together his thoughts again and he cleared his throat.
"Look. If push really comes to shove, we do what needs to be done. But unless there's no other option, we can't just kill him, or dismember him, or anything like that. Or at least, I can't. I'm a hero." He crossed his arms. "If we were in my world, I'd put Brother Marcus in the Null Void, that way he wouldn't be able to hurt anyone else. But there's gotta be a better way to do things than treat him like he treated us."

Rex went through all the information they had. The group had a few ideas like freezing or mutilating Marcus. Rex might not be above killing his enemies but he didn't want to torture him.
Adam mentioned that the Space Marine had a few cybernetic connection ports and Rex immediately got an idea of what they could do.
"That's it! If I can't shut down his armor because it would disturb the mechanical spirit or whatever, I can disconnect Marcus from it. I could even try taking it off of him"

"Well, killing him would be counterproductive since he would just reappear good as new and even angrier." Sawyer grunted, opening the Dark Eldar codex again. Truly, this read was fairly entertaining.
The discussion seemed to have shuffled to bionics, machinery and such; neither of which the girl could consider her specialties. "I am fairly curious to know just what selection of words would you use to convince him to not fight us anymore however." She chimed from over the book.

Adam raised a eyebrow, "Didn't you guys already try interacting with the suit? I overheard some mention of that."
"What makes you think you can do it the second time around?"
Ben looked over at Adam. "All I did was try and control it using Upgrade. Even then it took that psychic tech guy's help to do it, and I got shot for my trouble," Ben muttered. He looked around, then got up and walked towards the group.
"Look... he's probably just as confused as us by the fact that we're trapped here and none of us can die. Here's my thought. We tell him that this Boss of Miss Tairee's is some Chaos God, and as long as he's keeping us here none of the heretics can die," he whispered, trying to make sure Miss Tairee didn't hear him and tell the boss. "That's why we're trapped here, right? And if we can get someone like him on our side to get rid of the guy keeping us trapped here, that's also a plus." He sighed. "We're gonna need someone trustworthy to him to tell him that though," he sighed.

Sonic had a idea. It was risky, but a good one.
"Why don't I go and sweet talk to him? I've never seen him, and he hasn't seen me with you guys. I can maybe talk him into joining us. If he gets suspicious, I'll just run off, and if a fight breaks out, it should be no biggie. Though the best thing we can do is to prevent fighting right now. If things chill between you and that Blue knight, it will be easier to get him on our side."

Adam looked over and saw... he wasn't sure what. But he knew it would be a bad idea.
"Oh he'd try to kill you in a instant."
"You're not a human. No dice." Sawyer commented on Sonic's plan with a shrug.
"The question is; would he stop to try and kill us if we admit to be heretics?" She offered a counterpoint to Ben's plan. "He will just keep doing it until he gets bored, and that's a long way to that."
grahBen smirked at Sawyer. "We don't have to admit to being heretics. I'm saying, as long as "it" is around, none of the other heretics in the city can die," he clarified. "He's not doing it 'cause it's fun, he's doing it cause he thinks his Emperor will be happy. And really, would the Emperor be happy with him if he was wasting his time killing people who were just gonna come back immediately anyway?" he replied.

I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.Mary - Is Something Burning?
Mary started to walk alongside Sadness and Asgore, blissfully unaware of where they were even going while cheerfully continuing to hum. But as they were walking, she started noticing a few things which made her lose her enthusiasm completely.
The first was the smoke column coming from the direction they were heading towards. Smoke meant fire, and Mary greatly disliked fire. But maybe they were going to go past it or something like that, so there was no need to worry yet. However, the humming stopped, and she remained silent until she felt the second thing.
Something was burning. She couldn't really tell what because it was a somewhat new smell, but it definitely smelled like something was burning. Just where were they going? And why? They did know something was burning over there, right? Sadness... was she up to something?
It was at that point that the fabricated girl stopped on her tracks, not taking even a single step further. There was something about that place that felt very wrong, and she didn't like it.
"I don't like that place," the girl muttered, so concentrated on the column of smoke that she didn't even notice Kouta calling out to them. "Let's go somewhere else."

"I was going to point out that to him, that it doesn't matter here since all of us are here against our wills, and that none of us can die. His emperor doesn't matter anymore, and no one will know what he did, until someone came along and decided that it'd be more appropriate to attack him while non-human," Adam shot a quick look at Ben.
"Regardless maybe if we find him we can convince him again, and if not, we can at least cripple his wings."
"Presumably. There is a chance that any of us could see the "error" of their ways and repent." A long sigh.
"But I guess it's worth a shot." She concluded, then caught wind of Adam's remark and shot Ben a disapproving glare. "Oh, he has wings too? That sounds splendid."

grahCole let out a slight sigh as he listened to the others around them. "I should go and find him by myself," he finally said, shifting to stand up. "I am human, and with calm I will be able to see into his hurts and understand what could help. Perhaps you are all right, but I can be certain. And I can find him. It...is difficult here. Trying to listen to one set of hurts above all others, they jump and dance about the world. But I can find him."
"Shovel Knight? Does he just hit people with a shovel," Koishi asked incredulously. "That sounds dumb. There's nothing like Knights where I'm from, though. Maybe he's normal to you two?"
She looked back down on her plate, and noticed that it was near the end of the dinner service. At least it was for her, she had managed to just about finish an entire steak in record time. She really did have no idea when she last ate, anyway, since she never really needed to eat much in the first place. Must've been the stress of the last half hour calling out to her stomach.
"It must be nice for you two. You have each other, people you know from regular life."
Library Zone/ Act 2
Sonic looked at Cole. He seems like a nice guy, and Sonic felt a bit of pity for him.
Nevertheless, he couldn't go and fight the Blue knight due to it targeting nonhumans. If he was to go, he'd be killed.
Then Sonic had another idea.
"I have another idea. Since this thing tries to kill nonhumans, why don't we use it as bait? If another battle happens to occur, I, or any other that isn't human can show up, and this blue knight will try to kill it. That allows you guys to strike and capture him or freeze him or what ever you guys want."
Going Fast Since 1991"That sounds dumb." Sawyer interjected to Sonic's idea. "He is still a soldier. It would be obvious for him to prioritize the most dangerous or the closest target in his range."
She then looked at Cole, the sunken-in eyes seemingly searching for something. Ultimately, she said nothing; it was his decision to make although something told the cleaner that a painful death at the hands of that Space Marine would not teach the blond man any lessons.

Lune was about to speak up and say she was going to join Cole in case something goes wrong. However, Brother Marcus might jump the gun and assume Cole's in cahoots with the "heretics" of the group and attack them out of prejudice. It's better to let Cole carry out his plan in peace and see where this ends up.
The blue creature wanted to help too, but the executioner told him it was a dumb idea. Despite her enjoyment in killing, the executioner still had time for reason and think things through.

The Library
Adam wasn't completely sure that interacting with the Aquila Armour would work because they had already tried that.
"That was Ben. The first we did that, Legion killed him before Ben could do anything. With the help of a more skilled technopath we could probably do it"
Cole decided to go by himself and try to talk sense into Marcus. Rex didn't think it was a good idea to go alone but Marcus would recognize and Cole was the only one that could feel Marcus' emotions.
"Good luck. If things go wrong, come back to the library"
The blue knight proposed distracting the Space Marine to let the others incapacitate him.
"You acting as a bait? You would have to be pretty fast or Marcus could catch you. And freezing him wouldn't work, the armor's designed to withstand the coldness of space"
Sawyer had another reason to turn down the idea. She reasoned that, as a soldier, Marcus would probably deal with the most dangerous and closest targets first. The fact that they didn't even have a strategy didn't help either.
The Library - Sawyer don't!
Adam looked over the information on Space Marines, "You got a High Frequency weapon?" he asked.
"Because if you don't I don't think we're getting anywhere with that idea."
