Shooting Gallery->Bubba-Gump Shrimp

I nodded to Sans and entered Bubba-Gump Shrimp. And just like that, my horror days was over for now, I think. I quietly looked 'round Bubba-Gump Shrimp, and found that something was off 'bout this restaurant. This Bubba-Gump Shrimp restaurant wasn't just a silly idea cooked up by Lt. Dan. This restaurant was 'bout lil old me! It was like steppin' into a dream or a nightmare, maybe? I kept quiet and let the others figure it out since they was smarter than me and all.

Seiga, with Viola, Stuck
Yoshika's very drawn-out swear left a bad taste in her mouth, because she was probably doing it just to spite her. Once again, she was really beginning to understand how stupid she was in her youth.

"...It's not like any of this matters," she eventually said to Ellen, her tone neutral. "When the next day comes, my control will be restored. She won't remember a thing, and she won't be able to complain. Everything will be fine."

She looked down the road with the vague expectation that she'd see Yoshika running back down any moment now, but all she could hear was metal clanging. "I really don't know why I care at all." She turned to Ellen, and raised a finger as she dolefully explained, "If you really seek immortality, don't follow my example. In the end, all my connections to the world only make it harder for me to live my peaceful life."

Yoshika had screamed before, in blind rage and in animalistic fury, but never like this. Seiga was frozen in place as she stared at Ellen for an uncomfortably long time. There was a bright flash in the distance, and Yoshika suddenly stopped.

It took a few more seconds for Seiga to start thinking again.

"...Viola, please tell me about your day." The hermit turned her back and started walking down the road, doing her best to ignore everything except the sound of her ally's voice. "Go into detail."

Yoshika, not with Seiga, Really Stuck
The jiangshi went into this with the full expectation that she wasn't nearly as strong as she was normally. Her legs weren't bound into uselessness from rigour mortis anymore, but she was finding herself tired just from whacking these things.

No, what she was forgetting was a factor she never realized she had in the first place. The everyday pains of life were completely foreign to her, and pain in general was something she had only known second hand. Seiga complained sometimes, people would scream when she killed them, but even with her renewed mind she never understood it...

...Up until now. She wasn't able to get herself out of the thing's grip, and as the slow compression of force on her increased she finally figured out what it felt like. It felt absolutely horrible.

She immediately regretted leaving Seiga. She immediately regretted ever saying those horrible things to Seiga. She wanted to shout that she's sorry to her so she could come and save her, but the pain only increased, so all she could do was scream as loud as she could.

Then, with a blinding flash, that one guy jumped out of the darkness, grabbed her from the clutches of mascot-related death, and shoved a camera in her hand.

Huh.

She didn't even realize how unimportant it was, but the first thing that came to mind was to grab those wirecutters! She laid down a blanket of covering fire from her camera as she grabbed it, and then tried to run along with the rest of the group. No, she wasn't going to help Wander. He could deal with it on his own, she needed to fulfill her own desire to not die.

Eve|Near Food stalls|*cough*Punctured Lung*cough*

Yoshika no! And then, abruptly, Eve was on the ground. It hurt less, and she couldn't see what was happening to Yoshika, though she guessed. Bright flashes of light filled her vision. A rescue. The weight on her back disappeared and she felt arms trying to pull her up.

She managed to get on her feet, barely, and tried to run.. She managed to get a couple of feet before she fell onto her knees, wheezing and coughing up blood. Looking up at Melanie she shook her head with knowledge she probably wouldn't be able to go further. Taking a large (and painful) breath, she managed to croak out a "Run", before having too wheeze again.

Lewis - Merry-Go-Round - But Enough of That. Let's Work on Not Dying

"I know what he was trying to do. I had to carry him away from a different hellspawn and he pleaded to do the same thing. But other people were already on that anyway. Jack was there. There were a lot of kids there with us; you've seen his life story, you know how it is with him. He literally ordered me to make off with them and, I did, and it looked like he was about to die at the time. And now it's going to waste, so your point about invalidating people's sacrifices is a moot one.

"But they're long gone now. There's nothing to be done about it, except maybe stumble upon those two when they respawn. I just...hate when people get hurt, is all. He was already injured when I found him, and despondent on top of that. I didn't want worse for him. Curse the way this place shifts around all the time."

I probably should've looked at her, or at least made some attempt to rouse my voice from the monotone it'd sunken to, just to keep her from being alarmed. But it seemed like so much work when I already felt like lead between losing the kids and, oh yeah, having just run yet another several meters.

I nearly forgot about that.

I flopped down against the pavement, letting out a sigh and staring at the air above. The clouds started parting around the moon, and for a moment I expected it have some sort of grotesque face or demonic shadow over it. But no, just a generic lunar eclipse, except a deeper red than any natural eclipse. Shame. That'd have been interesting. Even if now that I thought that I may have just tempted fate.

Anyway, Curly understood the elderly scientist-looking guy's horror film rambling to mean 'make a weapon'. I...guessed that could work? I wasn't really sure. Being properly armed was usually when a survival horror stopped being a survival horror, and it was anyone's guess if the writer wanted that.

"I mean, you can try. Good luck finding parts. Usually these things end in an intense chase sequence or a massive puzzle, not in combat. But whatever gets you looking for items, I guess. And clues."

I should probably get on with looking for those things myself. It wasn't like I didn't have experience with scavenging unfamiliar places for any sort of hint or tool. A little under six years of that sort of thing went a long way.

The old man in question, apparently named Rick, ordered the teen, apparently named Morty...wait a minute...to make sure everyone who wasn't them didn't die on their asses. Poor guy looked awfully uneasy about what he had to do. Maybe I spooked him a little describing the day.

I looked at him. "Hey, don't worry...Morty, did he say? It's just a matter of running fast and trying everything on anything. I can handle myself. I'll look for something, just. Give me a minute."

And with that I continued staring above, simply letting the next few moments pass. I never thought I'd find fixating on my breathing and circulation, and the rhythm of every cell passing around and metabolizing what chemicals they will, quite as soothing as I did.

Lobros, Into The Shrimp Shop

That woman, she was something else. Lothric could certainly appreciate someone with such a strong personality. Truth be told, they have wasted enough time just dilly-dallying by now.

The two brothers made their way inside the shop. "We never had any seafood to eat." He muttered quietly, glancing about the place. Of course, there was also an issue that the girl seemed to find Lorian's armor very familiar, if only because her father wore something similar. Perhaps he could ponder on that later.

For the moment of respite, he figured he could interest someone with the conversation. "Sir Sans? If you have a moment to spare for a discussion about nothing." He opened to the little skeleton with a nod. "I do find it interesting, your state as a skeleton."

Shooting Gallery ==> Shrimp Shop

Jack's juggling slowed slightly at the young girl's question, but he kept going and smiled gently. When the lamia woman was done asking the girl, the former spirit piped in. "That's a really cool name. Do you mind if I call you See? Was your mum with you when you ended up here? Or your dad?"

He hoped they were, and they had just gotten separated. Otherwise... otherwise she had been alone the entire time she was here. If they were here, Jack would help find them. If not... he'd figure something out. "Anyway, until we can get you back to you, I'll do my best to look after you, ok?"

Then he glanced at the young boy. "And how about you, Tommy? Are... your parents here?"

Glancing over at he listened to Silanea's explanation, when the woman made eye contact with him, the Guardian stared resolutely back. "As you should. It shouldn't matter who or what someone is, if they need help, you should help." He turned his head to look at Sans as he said the final part.

When Sans addressed the kids directly, acting friendly after he was more than willing to leave them to die to something like that monster from before, Jack blatantly put himself between the skeleton and the kids; Turning his back to him. If he thought that Jack was even for a moment going to trust him with protecting the kids when he'd showed just how little he cared, he was an idiot. Tucking the rocks away, the former spirit picked up his sign pole, grinning at the kids. "Come on, let's head inside. If you want, I can tell you some cool stories."

Making sure the kids were at least following him, Jack made his way into the building, on alert the entire way.

Arcade wavered slightly as everyone seemed to be heading into the shrimp shop. He could just about hear so many people's voices in his head. Julie was telling him to get out there and help people in danger, Moreno was telling him not to run from a battle, and his father (a voice he could only imagine what it sounded like) was telling him he was disappointed in him for even considering hiding. At that he realized this was just going to turn into Hoover Dam again. No one was going to die permanently and he wasn't going to get anyone here to leave if they don't want to, he rationalized. He sighed and followed the others into the shop. "Time to heroically save our own asses," Arcade mumbled sarcastically.

Doppelgroup

Specter Knight followed the rest of the group into the shop. Silanea, he reluctantly admitted, had made an astute observation; they were arguing to the point of being ineffective. At least with somebody to give commands, they could do more than just argue in circles. Not that he took any joy in being commanded, mind you; if anything, it just reminded him of the late Enchantress, whose magic...No, stop thinking about that. There are more pressing matters right now, he mentally reminded himself.

The shop's interior was just plain bizarre. Who in the right mind would plaster a man's face everywhere? He shot Forrest a brief quizzical look.

Shrimp place

"What? No, that's not what I meant" Silanea said to Sans, shaking her head but not wanting to spend more time talking, then moved inside. She had to pause briefly as she went in the doors. Of course, it wasn't just any shrimp restaurant; it was a shrimp restaurant in the same condition it would be in if abandoned for a couple decades or so. "... I don't think you'll find any edible shrimp in here" she muttered, just thankful that that was so long in fact that the smell was pretty mild, though still unpleasant.

Meanwhile, Seirwuosuhr glanced down, rubbing her hands slightly again and shook her head, the sad expression returning. "That's why she was crying yesterday" Tommy muttered, looking a little sad as well. "I-I-I don't know where my parents are either. I keep, going somewhere different every time I fall asleep" he added, sniffling.

"Last time though, See came with me... That's all I know" Tommy went on, glancing at the girl as they followed Jack into the store.

It was about when everybody was getting inside that Silanea really looked around the place, and something came to her attention. "Wait a minute- Why is this store plastered with your likeness?!" Silanea asked in a suspicious tone, pointing a finger at Forrest.

Outside the pizzeria

"You're awake? If you can get up, just start running! Go!" Calvin told Cole, before gawking at the charging in Wander. Freddy turned around to look, his mouth likewise opening wide. Very wide.

Wide enough that Wander's left arm went right into the inner side of the upper jaw, and thus caught there as Freddy's mouth closed tight harder than one of those traps you would use against the animal that his likeness is loosely based off of. With Wander's arm firmly (broken) in place, Freddy shook his head around, shaking Wander's body about like a lightweight doll; then he let go and allowed momentum to throw Wander down into the ground, not far from the inactive suit.

Freddy turned towards Wander and prepared to continue, but was forced to reel away again as that had put him at an angle where Calvin's flashes would hit his eyes. "They will not be your friends! They're like literally pure evil! Get the fuck out of there!" Calvin yelled rapid fire at Wander, still using his disposable camera.

Meanwhile, Melanie looked at Eve with a raised eyebrow and a simple, "huh?" before it seemed to dawn on her. "Oh shit, punctured lung? Eesh" Melanie muttered, grimacing as she looked at the inactive suit. "If we just leave you here they'll stuff you in that, but if you try to run..." she thought out loud, then looked around herself for a moment. Leaning down, she pried a hefty piece of cobblestone out of the path, then stepped in front of Eve and held it up high.

"Off you quick for the respawn?" Melanie offered, her tone lacking any of the dread and disgust one would expect from a person realistically in this scenario; but she did still seem a bit apprehensive.

Shrimp Place - incredible coincidences

What he said wasn't exactly right as Silanea was quick to correct him, he knew it wasn't quite that but he still couldn't help but find some parallels with the whole thing. Once they got inside, Silanea immediately got suspicious of Gump because of the place's likelihood to him.

"i'm guessin' this place probably comes from the same world as him, wouldn't be surprised if there were more places like this around," Sans tried to explain, shrugging.

He then looked over to Lothric, who seemed to be particularly interested in him being a skeleton. "heh, what's so interesting about a numbskull like me?"

Get up and run...?

Trying to get up proved a little difficult. There was ache in his body, in his head, he felt as though the ground might whirl out from under him as he got onto his feet, staggering slightly, hands clutching at his head.

Run the person with him had said, and from a glance backwards, seeing strange creatures, made of metal and fur, mauling other creatures covered in fur, and others with flashing lights that made the hurt in his head pound harder than before, he had a good idea of what he was supposed to be running from.

He glanced around, then took off as quickly as he could, grimacing as he wrapped his arms around his aching ribs, not quite sprinting but keeping up as fast of a pace as he could manage, trying to get as much distance between himself and whatever was behind him as he could.

"........rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" Plague Knight roared in anger. Calvin was already on his feet and running when the knight finished and noticed the boy was fleeing. With wagon handle in one hand and staff in the other, Plague Knight furiously gave chase.

What would surprise Calvin would be the diminutive knight actually being able to not only be just as fast but also gaining.

As Arcade entered the shop, the smell hit him. "Rotting wood, ancient food, rusted metal," Arcade listed "all this place needs is that lovely radioactive scent and I'd feel right at home. Well, that and raiders shooting at anyone who comes too close."

It seemed that everyone else decided that now was time for questioning everyone else. Arcade decided to check the place for anything to replace his broken nail board as he avoided talking about himself at all costs.

Outside House of Mirrors ~ It's Working

Fortunately, the beast seemed to know no better. Zelda also had lost sight of the others, so that likely meant they had found a safe hiding spot.

All the same, she kept backing up and backing up, until she couldn't see the structure they all emerged from anymore. At that point, she stopped and let the beast get close enough to slash at her. She leaped backwards as soon as the attack came in, barely managing to avoid having its claws rake across her chest.

Then she went in for another jab to the eye. This time, if her attack succeeded she'd just turn and make a run for it while the creature was blinded. Her mission was accomplished, one way or another, and she didn't want to fight this thing anymore than she absolutely had to.

After Garrett asked if they knew of any safe hiding places, she slowly shook her head and said, "N-No ... There probably isn't any ... E-Everything is just so rundown ... That is probably the point of today, to terrify us ... The library is usually a safe haven during most of the day, so that must be why it is gone for now ... Viola I Burger Stall (Outside) I Exposition Time

I listened to Seiga as she moved on, trying to remain unperturbed. 'Trying' is the word I'm using here, because clearly it still has an effect on her. For her part, she's handling herself well though, so I decided to leave it at that and indulge her.

"Hmm... Let's see," She obviously wants me talking to take her mind off what just happened. Well, if that's how it is, then I'll just have to oblige. "To start with, after we last separated, I've been in the Library's upper floors, dong some light reading in the morning while everyone else is off to do whatever it is they do. Well, I can't say it's quite morning, since there's really no way to tell the time yesterday."

"It was mostly an uneventful morning for me. Then, I've met two newcomers yesterday. One... Asriel and Call, if I remember correctly." I took a second to wonder what had happened to them before moving on. "Afterwards, I held another little tea party there, this time with the Librarian herself and a peculiar ex-cultist named Kelsey. It was mostly civil, until Kelsey smacked the librarian for being involved with the one responsible in turning her into a crazed fanatic who can't differentiate right from wrong. The Writer." Chuckling, I continued. "It was quite an entertaining sight, and I do have to agree with her, no matter what the she or the librarian thinks otherwise. Speaking of which...,"

"I've been trying to learn a bit more about you and your world by asking for books about them from Miss Tairee. I hope you don't mind," My mood worsens at the thought of what comes next. "Of course, my research grounded to a halt when the librarian telepathically brought me up from the topmost floor to the lobby, punched me in the gut and spanked me for politely asking, not demanding, for some books on the upper floors of the Library. As if I was supposed to know that you're not allowed to do that and be punished for it, that conceited-,"

"And when asked on what to look out for so that I may not suffer the same fate again, she refused to oblige. All the while providing a real life, threatening demon that just arrived at the library during that time actual help and fulfilled requests. Apparently, I'm of a lesser priority than an actual demon who obviously seeks to do harm to the people she happens to like and am far less likeable than a being famously known to be related to pure evil. Isn't that sad?"

"So yes. Be careful of the Librarian. She may act prim and proper behind her glasses, but give her half a chance and she'll prove to you just how petty and vicious she can be if she doesn't like you. Twisting our words and requests for her amusement even while knowing that's not what we intended. And for people like us, Seiga, I'm sure she'll love nothing more than to make our lives a living hell, and it's only by the sheer fact that she's bound by her duty as the Librarian and so-called neutral arbitrator, most likely by the Writer, that she can't do so. At least, not directly,"

Goodness. I have been going on for a while, haven't I? "... Other than that one constant thorn that I'll have to deal during most of my days here," One that I'm starting to genuinely hate. "My day have been mostly fine. I've got to learn new things from the library and have been amicable enough with the militia. even made friends with one of them." Too bad that he didn't quite make it till the end.

There. I wrapped it all up about my day, in detail, just as you asked. "Please forgive me for my tirade. I haven't had the chance to let this off to anyone. Or, rather, there's no one else that I could really let all this out on besides you." I sighed. "Really, the librarian is starting to get to me."

Even as I finished it on that note, I took a glance at Seiga, keeping on eye on whether if she's still listening and doing fine right now. How worrisome.

Eve|Outside the Pizzeria

Eve nodded to Melanie, a grateful look in her eyes. Melanie would soon discover that she didn't need to, as Eve bled out on the stones and died.

Eve|Elsewhere

She had died. She could deal with that.

The blood, filling her lungs, pooling in her boots...

Eve turned over, coughing to try and clear a blockage in her throat that no longer existed. This lasted for a couple of minutes before she realised that there was no blockage, something she knew from the beginning but didn't think about.

The total helplessness, the intense fear, and the certain knowledge she was going to die...

She had only felt like that before twice, and then she had her partners with her. Was it sad that she had been hoping, wishing, almost expecting to hear their voices? They had always been there before. What she would give to hear a nonchalant "hello Princess", or a worried "Eve what have you got yourself into now?".

The cold metal hoisting her up, dripping with her blood onto the stones...

Why did she think she could do anything? Because she had always been able too before. She knew it was suicidal, so why did she go in anyway? Because she wanted to save the others. But that failed, didn't it?

The inactive suit, dripping with fresh blood, and the knowledge that she was going to be next...

Eve vomited. Violently, and retched for a while once she had emptied what was in her stomach. She still felt nauseous. She still felt sad. And she felt a little bit...empty.

Prometheus & Pandora | Shooting Gallery -> Shrimp Restaurant | Feeling Lucky

His search turned out to be fruitful, not only did he find a gun—a somewhat ancient gun, but a gun nonetheless—but, after going over the counter in hopes of finding more, found ammunition for it. It wasn't much, especially compared to what he's usually seen, but it would do, even if he specialized in using his scythe and fire. He went back over the counter, once again mindful of Tommy and See. He tapped his sister's shoulder and mentioned towards the shrimp restaurant the man pointed out earlier. Pandora, seeing as the white haired teen was going there with the kids also, nodded her consent and followed her brother inside.

When they did get in, Prometheus made sure his new weapon as the group talked, apparently the serpent lady suspicious of the man. It was a bit unusual to see pictures of him on the walls, but Prometheus thought they were there because of human pride or the like. While Prometheus had taken a seat on one of the chairs, Pandora remained near, but still at a respectable distance, the white haired teen. That is, assuming the teen even got inside with the children. If not, she just stood by her brother's side, as usual.

After he was satisfied the gun really was fine, he turned his attention to the others, now that he could get some answers.

"What's with this place? And I don't mean this restaurant. I mean the whole place. How in hell can nobody die here? And how did we get here?"

"You said you had a dream... That dream... Make it come true! ... If anyone can, it's you!" - N (shortened) Oh, and I'm a girl.

Then that snake lady pointed at me and asked if I knew why this restaurant was based on me. I certainly didn't know since we just entered. Sans explained the place musta come from my world, but I didn't know if this place was for real or not.

So I searched 'round the place and picked up a menu. I began readin' it and it took me awhile 'cause I ain't a good reader. “This menu says that this place is based on a film somebody made 'bout me, I think. That film must be real good if it made people think 'bout makin' a shrimpin' restaurant?”

Suddenly, another pair of costumed folk showed up in the restaurant and asked if they knew more 'bout this place. I replied, “Sorry, I don't know. Why don't you ask Sans or his boss? They know a lot 'bout this city, I think.”

Ghostfreak snarled as his attack missed, then was jabbed in the eye again. He clutched his face once more, looking and sounding furious. When he managed to regain his barings, the woman with the stick was gone. It did not matter. He would have to find the Tennyson boy and make him suffer. Ghostfreak looked around, then began to trudge off into the wilderness.

The food stall

Ben winced a little more, then nodded. "Yeah, Garrett's not bad..." he tried to tell Rachel. He blinked in confusion when Garrett pointed out the library was gone. "Gone?" he asked. "Like... totally gone? That really stinks..." he groaned. "Looks like we're gonna... have to rough this day out. I'd go Hero to protect you guys but..." He showed off his bare arm to Caro, Rachel and Garrett. "I think the Writer dude decided to be mean today..."

I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.

Eun (Not the Shrimp Store) - Decisions

It seemed the other members of the group were content with hiding in what looked like a similar facility to the one Ara had visited three days earlier to eat alongside a few others. The purpose of the location was, however, mostly irrelevant, since it had clearly remained abandoned for a very long time, and there was probably nothing edible in there. What mattered is that the group had sought refuge inside, while Ara watched them enter one after another without standing up from the bench where she was sitting.

I had the slight feeling that I already knew the answer to what I was about to ask her.

"Do you plan to enter as well?"

"...no, I don't think so."

It was fairly obvious in hindsight. With the options being either to remain hidden alongside a group of people who could barely trust each other or venture out to assist those in need in any way possible, her default choice was quite clear. So even though I believed there was something else she that caused her to make that decision, I nodded in acknowledgement, and climbed up onto the bench as well.

"Where shall we go next?"

"Hmmm... well, I did promise that boy I'd try to find Caro and Ben, so maybe we should start looking for them."

"Understood."

We sat on that bench talking for another minute or two, during which she patted my head once. It felt quite pleasant, if a little strange. After that we stood up and continued walking along the road, with no set destination but with a clear goal in mind. And surely one of us would find something that Ara could use to defend herself along the way.

Shrimp Place

Lucas followed everyone else inside the building after his look through the window. Hearing the two children talk about their parents made him feel like an awful person for doubting them. He knew what it was like to not have your mother there to comfort you, and he could tell it was genuine sadness being expressed. He resolved that he would help both of them stay safe until they were out of this city.

He tentatively tried to speak with them again. He said "I... I miss my mom too. I w-won't be able to find her h-here but I promise you that you'll see them again. Even if they s-seem to be far away... a mother... a father... they'll always be waiting for you. N-no matter what happens... until then though, I can h-help keep you two safe. Um, d-do either of you two have any brothers or sisters?"

Lucas could tell that he wouldn't be able to find their parents here, but he had enough sense to know that was the wrong thing to say. He looked around the shrimp place as he talked.

Shrimp place

"A movie..? I've heard some of the others talk about these 'movies'. There's pictures that move on their own and make sound to tell a story; in my world that would be magic, but apparently there's no magic involved, right?" Silanea thought out loud, glancing at Sans as she had a feeling he'd know.

She looked like she was going to ask Forrest more about this, but then Prometheus asked about the city as a whole and it became clear that both he and Forrest must be new here and not fully understand it. "This is some separate plane of existence from all of ours, created by some god who pulled us all here just to see what we would do and extract inspiration for his projects. Normally you could talk with his assistant 'Secretary',note  but it seems that today she and her library are both absent from this place" Silanea explained to them to start with.

"The further bad news is that every day the entire plane becomes different in some way, usually changing the whole city and sometimes changing even us. Like today, my magic powers are gone. And lastly, the layout of the city is always changing whenever you're not looking; sometimes as quickly as an eye blink. Directions are practically useless here" she continued on, frowning. "As far as good news, if there can be considered to be any about this place, from what we've been told we will all be sent home sooner or later; this is all supposed to end after one month's time, and today is the thirteenth day. Furthermore, it is impossible to stay dead here; anyone who does die comes back moments later elsewhere in the city" she finished, turning her attention to Prometheus and Forrest.

Meanwhile, Tommy smiled and nodded his head in enthusiasm to Jack, but Seirwuosuhr looked confused. "Who?" Seirwuosuhr asked, tilting her head. Then Lucas got their attention, and they looked a little sad again.

"M-my older sister's not here either" Tommy muttered, as Seirwuosuhr just shook her head.

Noodle shop

Rachel relaxed a bit, but frowned. "Yeah, I know. Everyone's weapons and such seem to be gone; this day is like one of those stupid horror movies, where the characters helplessly get killed off by the monster one by one" Rachel said, sighing and setting the broom down. She picked the little bag back up and started tearing out strips of bandage to wrap around Ben.

"And of course the librarian bitch is nowhere to be seen as lots of people are in danger, especially kids. I knew she was full of it" Rachel muttered as she kept working.

Ferris wheel

Mami's plan was to try to get the xenomorph's blood to eat away the supports enough to collapse the ferris wheel on top of it, but the alien kept moving around above her, never getting close to them. There was a moment where she realized something was missing, and then it hit her that the Xenomorph had stopped dripping blood at some point. Did it regenerate, or did the blood just finally clot enough?

... Also, where did it go? She managed to lose track of it in the darkness, turning around in place and looking up as she tried to spot it. Just behind her, its tail lowered down like an unrolling coil of rope, readying with the end held horizontal not far from her. Just as she turned and spotted it again, the tail sliced forward.

Mami's body remained upright for a couple seconds as her head hit the ground, rolling to a stop against one of the ferris wheel support columns at just the right angle to see the xenomorph sitting in place above her body as it fell over to the ground. And then, it all went black as her body vanished and she respawned elsewhere...
