I heavily doubt they care.
Please allow me to introduce myself, I am a man of wealth and taste. Nice to meet you, hope you can guess my name.I am pretty sure that at least Joel would care about a ten-year old kid in obvious distress.
Yeah, no. Unless they were sociopaths (which they're not given what I've seen of them), I can't imagine them not caring at least a little bit about a ten year old boy suffering. That seems rather heartless of them. I recognize the robots are robots, but they're still sentient, and snarky as they are, they're probably decent. As for Joel, he's not a soldier or a hardened veteran or something— he was a janitor locked on a spaceship. Why would he not care about a child obviously in distress?
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither. The bots care about each other deep down, but on the surface, you couldn't tell. Plus, they had no real idea what was going on at the moment, until now, that is.
Please allow me to introduce myself, I am a man of wealth and taste. Nice to meet you, hope you can guess my name.@Vampireandthen: What All Hail Thrall and Locoman were referring to was that Ben is a ten year old boy who was already clearly distraught when Joel and the robots first walked up to him; but rather than treat him like a distraught ten year old, they decided to behave like he was an information kiosk and they were lost tourists. Even if they are still really that curious to get answers, it would make more sense in-character to walk past the distraught boy and enter the large building that is literally right behind Ben instead. Their choice here is in fact so nonsensical that it would fit right in in one of the silly films that they make fun of on a regular basis.
Anyway, I'm here now and fully recapped; I ended up resting for a bit after work, hence being on now. I'm going to check on some things and then try to get a post up relatively soon, though I'm a bit distracted with laundry going. Also sometime later tonight I want to head out to get some food, but I think I'll be able to have a post up before then.
Also, update on my work schedule for this week: In addition to what I posted previously, one of my coworkers asked if I could cover their shift on Friday, and considering that the last week or two I got fewer hours than I would've liked, I decided to take it; it's just a moderate length evening shift though.
You are reading this.Gonna make a new post to trigger watchlists for people, because I want to make sure everyone knows: I don't think I'll be able to post tomorrow.
Not in the main thread anyway. I'll probably pop into discussion at some point if there's anything I should respond to as GM; but unless there's very little for me to post in the main thread, I probably won't be able to spare the time for it. This is because I doubt I'll have time before work, and the shift goes so late that I won't really have time for writing a post after I get home either.
So, sorry to anyone who will be left waiting on me. Though I would also consider this post fair warning to bear my absence in mind if you decide to have your character interact with any NPCs. Also sorry to Korodzik that I'm ninja-ing your blank post editing.
As for Wednesday, I should be on fairly early in the day; I do want to go take care of something after work, and I might want to rest for a while after that, (and do a load of laundry) but I should still be able to get on earlier than I was today. How much earlier, it's too far in advance for me to make a good guess at.

You are reading this.Fair point. However, I was going to try and have them comfort Ben if he had responded and explained what was wrong, seeing as they have just arrived there and are practically clueless. I was also under the impression this was one of the older incarnations of Ben.
Maybe I should switch to Randall Flagg instead. Should I wait a bit longer?

Please allow me to introduce myself, I am a man of wealth and taste. Nice to meet you, hope you can guess my name.Mentioning this here in case you don't check skype tonight, but between some ic arrangements in the Plans doc and certain more recent developments in the thread that I'm guessing one or two npcs near Seiga and Lewis might take note of, should we wait for you before leaving HSH?
i guess you can watch me shitpost i guess@Oceanstuck: None of the NPCs are going to stop Lewis and Seiga from leaving, no.
@Vampireandthen: When Joel and the robots entered the library, they would've entered right into the lobby where plenty of people are within sight. Information on the layout of the library is in the first post of the discussion thread, which I thought I told you to refresh your knowledge of.
On a similar topic, @mrstack345: The balconies are looking out over the blue void from the city; they aren't looking out over the city. This doesn't really change the overall outcome of your post though, so it's not like it matters too much.
Anyway, I'm just going to check on some other things and then go; I'll be back early tomorrow.
You are reading this. After some thinking, I realized I'm not actually enjoying playing Lu and Ciel all that much. So I have decided to drop them both and bring Mary back for the rest of the in-game day, maybe the next one as well, we'll see.
Alright, finally here and fully recapped. Today may not have been so bad on its own, but combined with yesterday I was feeling pretty exhausted, so I decided to rest while my laundry was going. I'm going to check on some other things and then start working on a post, though I bet it'll take me a while to get it done given all that's been going on.
@Full Moon: Blitz Train had Curly talking to Elias in the hospital.
You are reading this.I see that there's a new day. Is it safe to rejoin in?
@Ominae: Um, why wouldn't it be?
Anyway, I kinda meant to have that post up sooner, but I was caught up hanging out with one of my friends. With that I'm going to be calling it for tonight; tomorrow I have the day off, though I'm actually going to have an alarm set just so I don't sleep in too late. I should be on around two hours earlier than I was today, or even earlier if I wake up before the alarm. I might go out to get dinner at some point tomorrow, though there should still be some leftovers from today I could have.
You are reading this.Just saw how the progress is and I'm not sure where to start. Does the character start in the last place they went to?
Oh.
I didn't see that part. When did you tell me that? Mind linking it?
Please allow me to introduce myself, I am a man of wealth and taste. Nice to meet you, hope you can guess my name.He told you to check after he accepted your signup. He tells everybody that.
(holds pool noodle threateningly) Do you want to know what we do to artists?you drop them wherever, but make sure theyve been out of everyone elses way during the handwave
i guess you can watch me shitpost i guessSo, um.........guys, you all read thegenuisyoshi's first post right?
We should help this guy get on his feet, before he screws up. Not trying to be insulting, but I don't think he knows what kind of RP this is. He is clearly new to this kind of thing.
Please allow me to introduce myself, I am a man of wealth and taste. Nice to meet you, hope you can guess my name.I imagine Fawful would be pretty confused and miffed that, just in the moment of his triumph against the fink-rats, he's pulled away from his moment of greatness to some desert of food.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither. Not gonna lie, the first post he made read like something Joel and the Bots would do an MSTing of.
Please allow me to introduce myself, I am a man of wealth and taste. Nice to meet you, hope you can guess my name.I gave him the link to the discussion thread, so there's a chance he's reading all of this.
Seriously, man, don't be a dick.
(holds pool noodle threateningly) Do you want to know what we do to artists?@Vampireandthen: This post.
And if you had done that, you would have read through the description of the library, too.
@Thegeniusyoshi: Don't post OOC stuff like that in the main thread; that's what the discussion thread is for. Haven't you read the role playing rules that was linked in my signup rules? Also the library is five kilometers away from the balconies, and isn't obviously a library from the outside or from that far away.
Anyway, I'm here now and fully recapped. Going to check on some other things and then see about working on a post.
EDIT @wikkit: Oh, and speaking of the description of the library, there's no furniture in the upper floors, just bookshelves. (Yoshika could carry some furniture up there pretty easily though, I imagine.)

You are reading this.I'll try to catch up on what happened in Day 17 before I post in.
Vampire, I'm not sure if it was clear in my recent Ben post, but Ben is panicking right now, on the verge of tears and near breakdown. His very close friend / possible love interest has been kidnapped and is being tortured by a murderous, dangerous, psychotic alien ghost and is being held for ransom by him.
I'm not sure if Joel and the Bots would notice Ben is definitely not looking fine enough for casual conversation.
