So what's the deal with naming convention of the Twilight series anyway? They're all darkness related because vampires, except Breaking Dawn... I guess because that's the end of the series and dawn is the end of the night, except that a) the book immediately before Breaking Dawn was called "Eclipse" which is something that happens during the day, and b) if the night themed titles are to indicate the series is about vampires, shouldn't "Breaking Dawn" indicate that the heroine is in some way done with vampires, and not that the heroine has herself become a vampire? The book that introduces werewolves has "moon" in the title, which would make sense if it wasn't specifically "New Moon", ie. the time when there is no visible moonlight and therefore werewolves definitely should not appear. Is there any particular reason book 3 is called "Eclipse", or was that just the third cool sounding darkness related word Meyer thought of? I guess Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse follow a trend of increasingly rare dark sky related phenomena, but again that's broken by Breaking Dawn...
And the version written from Edward's perspective is called "Midnight Sun", which... really just cements that Meyer is playing a word association game with these titles.
Meyer is seldom ever a good writer, so it wouldn't surprise me if she only decided to go for the surface level with these titles.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.I never really read the book, I read like half of twilight but dropped it for no real reason, and I read the graphic novel of the first half of new moon. I remember really liking Jacob when I read the graphic novel so hearing eclipse basically ruined all his good qualities is...eh...
Kind of reminds me of a shoujo I read as a kid, where a character in it had pretended to be a crybaby for at least between the ages of 12-15 just so that his cousin who he had a crush on would always fawn on him. I started out thinking he was kind of cute but even with my lack of standards at the time his growing creepy behaviour made me drop it
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysA new video was released today. The subject is Dreadnought, the first volume in the Nemesis Series. It is a superhero story that features a transgender superhero.

I wonder if there have been other trans superheroes out there, and not just heroes that switch genders every time they transform like this character.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy. If you mean heroes who just happen to be trans, there's Koi Boi over at Marvel, but that's the only real example I can think of.
Dreamer in the Supergirl TV series is trans. Trans actress and everything.
Not Three Laws compliant. There's also Kate Godwin/Coagula from the Rachel Pollack run on Doom Patrol. One of the earliest examples of a transgender superhero in comics.
Pardon my ignorance, but what’s that "ICE" the author wants dead in her tweet?
The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement. They've come under criticism over several human rights violations.

Concentration Camps, Forced Sterilization, Ignoring things like "warrants".
Ya know the classic Nazi stuff.
A new episode of "Breaking Dom" is out. This time he's talking about Breaking Dawn, and it seems like this episode will be the first out of three, with this one focusing on summarizing what the first third of the book is about: the wedding of Bella and Edward as well as Bella's pregnancy.

No, this one is for book 1. Breaking Dawn is divided into three "Books" (It is however a single book. Sort of how each LOTR book is 2 books)
Book 1 is the wedding/honeymoon, Book 2 is Jacob stuff, Book 3 is the baby/brawl fakeout stuff

Yeah, my bad. I've edited my original post with the correction.
Breaking Dawn part 2: Now the book gets weird.
And Creepy

It's been weird and creepy since the start.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.Well, yes...
...But now it's weirder and creepier.
I assure you, I'm a completely trustworthy person. It's been mostly boring so far. Lots of books where fuck all happens.
Rebecca had a new adaptation. And now the fact that EL James cited Rebecca (the novel) as an inspiration for 50 Shades, Dom gets PTSD when watching Rebecca-based material.
Dom's ever increasing bafflement over how anyone could be okay with the events of breaking dawn, particularly regarding Jacob was certainly amusing but I'd say it's simply either denial or just people not really thinking deeply about the implications of things.
When you're young, a lot of stuff kind of goes over your head and you take whatever you read at face value. Maybe the vaguely taboo vibes even make it more exciting (vampire books in general had that appeal for me since my parents have a weird vendetta against them). Though even back then I would have rather Jacob just stay alone for the rest of his life.
As for Rebecca, I wonder if there's a specific trope for "character who is dead (seemingly dead) seems to perfect and too good for the sinful earth but her still living former lover knows that she was kind of an awful person", I've seen it a few times in other stuff
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysYour parents have a vendetta against Vampires, or against Vampire Books?
Coz both of those raise so many questions.

My parents are weird in that they have made close to zero effort to curate the stuff we check out, but whenever they do see "dark stuff" like vampire related stuff they proceed to tell us to get rid of them. A book I bought that involved witchcraft got thrown over the fence once when I was kid and my dad deleted all the vampire academy books my sister saved on his tablet as a kid.
Because of that when I bought a manga called servamp I turned the spine inside the shelf in my room...
So they have the potential to be overbearing christian parents but don't really commit to it

I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysPart 3 of Dom's look at Breaking Dawn:
I feel like Breaking Dawn's just as appropriate for that title.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.
