I knew there had to be another player.

Though I was thrown by that reveal with the nobles (I admit, I really bought that they were just assholes), but we'll see what's going on now I guess.

My guess is more demons. It's doubtful that Asta's Anti-Magic Demon is the only demon out there.

It should be noted Licht taking out the sword that conveniently gave Asta the ability to dispel the reincarnation magic seemed too convenient. Like he knew something the others don't.

Plus with the ominous words about using said sword and when Asta finished the elf possessing Gauche that the sword itself might be very bad.

And now we have demons.

We already had demons ever since the first chapter.

Okay they actually or finally really went there.

We got the guy to take all the blame off the humans so the elves can let go of their hatred.

Well, the humans still totally murdered them all so it's not really okay.

So his magic is basically Reality Warping only you have to name what you want to do? Sounds single action.

Given his talk of Despair. I think this is the Demon that provided the power for Vetto's Third Eye Demon Magic. The Demon Magic was stated as being a big part of the reason Vetto and Fana were so insane in the third eye.

Not really reality warping. The only other demon we know of is Asta's swords and the only things we saw this demon doing is reflecting and nullifying magic, two things Asta's swords can do. His ability is clearly anti-magic but bigger.

As for humans, he sayed he manipulated them through their desire for greater magic power, so I feel like he just said "hey, humans, that's a thing you can do" and the humans did because they wanted to.

Ryha's thoughts do at least seem to absolve the first Wizard King himself of being part of it.

Am I supposed to be offended by the Hebrew letters in the Vacuum Wall magic circle? Because I'm actually not. It's just a bit of imagery, not an outright, "Hey, everyone! You should associate this language with demonic magic every time you see it!" Besides, we've had an affectionate nod to the shape of Sephirot from the Kabbalah this whole time, minus some of the pathways for some of the Hebrew letters to flow along. Tabata-sensei probably just thought that a graphical representation of how the eternal connects to the mortal, and an alphabet of obviously ancient letters just looked cool and wanted to draw it.

I thought Latin was the go-to language for magic.

So he basically used the humans to piss off the elves, then used the elves to revive him cause he wanted to fuck with both sides.

Still doesn't excuse the nobles but...

I might be repeating myself, but my god this series is crying for interesting villains. This arc had the closest thing we got to one, but now he's been replaced by some random demon who orchestrated everything For the Evulz…

Ironically Ladros is now my favorite villain solely because his English VA Chris Gardner gives him an utterly hilarious performance straight out of an Abridged.
