All right, let's check out what you lot have made...
Fawful: Nice, that's really well done. Everybody dies in the green pipe, don't they?
Karxrida: Woah, that's really cool!
32_Footsteps: I approve of nonlinearity.
Sal: Well you're a sadist
Nintendork64: Oh that is fiendish. Uh, where are the last two pink coins?
Anomalocaris20: Nothing wrong with being straightforward, and I really liked the bit with the vines.
And now I'm off to recreate a cool idea I saw on Mario Maker 1.
Ukrainian Red CrossHas there ever been a live Super Mario Maker course builder competition? Because that would be a great idea. Create course under a time limit, have the competitors follow certain prerequisites (limited obstacles, enemies, etc.), after the time limit have them try to complete their own level after certain number of attempts so they can qualify, and then have the judges/ audience decide which course is the best one. Simple as that.
Made two more courses.
First is a sequel to my Everything Maze from the first game. It's a delightful eyesore of a single-screen puzzle: MS0-W0M-CTF
The second is a new stage taking advantage of the nighttime forest theme for a little toxic sludge action: P77-7DK-6MF
As the description says, true plumbers will also collect ALL 150 coins along the way, even if it means risking getting your feet wet.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Watching the tutorial videos now, and though there’s a lot of Captain Obvious, there’s also an accidentally hilarious amount of Do Not Do This Cool Thing with regards to unfair level design, like placing Thwomps off the top of the screen. I would have thought the idea was to, well, not give anyone ideas.
SoundCloud@ Vampire Buddha- I would like to note that all I really did was replicate certain screens and slightly alter them so that they can actually be navigated without Celeste's dash ability.
So really blame Matt Thorson.

Anyone else who hates themselves can try out these:

How likely is it that we'll get a cameo of a non-Mario character (or even a Mario one like Wart or Pauline) in a future update? And how?
With Wart, I'd say my best bet is that he'd be the Bowser stand-in for a Super Mario Bros. 2 style. For Pauline? I'm honestly gonna make a wild shot and say extra playable character if Nintendo's planning that for Super Mario Maker 2.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Hate to be that random lurker who only pops in so he can advertise his levels but...
Name: A very simple vanilla Level ID: 1C4-B 6 S-00G
As the name implies, this is a very simple vanilla course designed to be like the first stage you'd see in most 2D Mario games. Since MM 2 is still fairly new, I felt it would be only fitting if my first MM 2 uploaded resembled an actual first course in a Mario game.
Name: Frozen Mushroom Peaks! ID: 1WQ-MG 1-9VF
This is my first attempt at a traditional style ice level, though really it's a combo of ice level + bottomless pit level. I've never really done a level where the bottomless pit was a threat, so hopefully, I made it challenging enough without feeling unfair.
Any criticism I should know of the game? I won't get the game for a bit but I want to know what the possible negatives are.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.I couldn't tell you any flaws in the Make portion (on account of not having any other frame of reference) but when playing other people's courses, Sturgeon's Law is in full effect. Not a problem if you only go for the highly rated courses, of course.
SoundCloudAh well that's a given.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Sorry for repeating, but how likely it is that non-Mario characters make a cameo in a future update? If so, how?
If they wanted to, they could repurpose the mystery costumes from the first game into selectable characters for online in a future update. Maybe even let you play as them in other modes too. Only problem would be if the characters could be usuable in the other styles, and that'd require a lot of sprites (or models in the case of 3D World).
That's why I kinda don't think that that'll be the case or, if it is, it'll be to a much lesser extent than the first game.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.howdy yall, i remade the Guts Man stage from Mega Man! it's accurate nearly to the pixel (as much as Mario Maker would allow, anyway)
you all should play it. CQG-6Q1-BPG
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeSo I've been getting into Co-op multiplayer and they messed up by having the group choose the difficulty. Players should be split up into rooms based on the difficulty we want before we even form a team.
I’ve uploaded my first level to Super Mario Maker 2. The course is named “Castle of Torment”, a loose remake of a level I made for the first Mario Maker.
Course ID: LM 8-XNY-RKF
Just got the game, played some courses and story levels. Online co-op is a total joke, but then again the sky is blue.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Online co-op really depends on the weakest signal in the room when it comes to how smooth it is. Case and point.
Yep. Just like in Smash and Mario Tennis, the connection is shit regardless if I play wireless or docked to the ethernet.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.I mean, I still enjoy online mode despite the occasional lag. I've encountered some pretty entertaining moments.
Ok, enough crapping on the game. I made a course! It's nothing special since it's just me getting back into the swing of things.

That one was pretty cut clear.
But...Sledge Bros weren't in 3DWorld, so that's cool.
