Stranded: Troper Edition

"I'm sorry, Lai... I know you wouldn't want to use something technical, ... I didn't think of that..."

"No, no! I do not mind the components of such things. Indeed, if you are willing to help, I think we should harvest some of its metal, we can make cups, kettles, swords and other such things!"
Laithelryn looks very excited.
"After that I am going to burn it though, okay?"
Laithelryn head towards the techno-bauble.

"First, get all the materials out of there!"

Mark sighed.

He ran over the the jet to collect any items inside.

"Fine, just don't take any techno-baubles!"
Laithelryn begins stripping metal from the flying techno-bauble.

Mark secretly takes all of the VHS tapes and a few packs of water.

Having striped of enough metal to fashion cups, kettles, swords, belt buckles and the like Laithelryn begins piling up the firewood.
"You best finish you scavenging quickly!"
Laithelryn seems very excited as more wood is piled about.

Yas groggily awakens.

"Hey, guys! I slept off my injuries!"

He dances around, in peak condition.

...

"What are youse doing?"

"Burning this techno-bauble. I salvaged metal with which to make nice, non-baubly items though."
Laithelryn lights the wood around the techno-bauble.

Mark then takes a few Betamax tapes that they missed and runs off to see Yas miraculously healed.

"Yas! You're okay!"

"Of course I am!"

He looks confused at the proceedings.

"Do we have goats?"

"We do! I can now make nice apparel for everyone! What colour would you like?"
Laithelryn begins moving the metal back to camp as the techno-bauble goes up in flames.

"Uh. Red."

"Okay! We need a vat though? Do you have any clay or perhaps an axe?"

Mark put the tapes in a secret spot where Lai could not see them...but on top of the pile, he saw something.

A hypnosis watch.

Hmm...maybe tommorow.

Mark sat down to eat dinner.

Mark finished dinner and decided to go to sleep.

"Good night, everybody!"

Urgh. What a nightmare... Eight hours of drudgery, during which my sole means of communication or entertainment was inoperative...

((In not-crazy talk: "My phone crapped out while I was at work. It sucked."))

"That must suck," says Sard even though he has no idea what Dvorak means.

Chris finds some clay and starts molding it into a bucket.

Ooh, a goat. Now we can have milk and cheese and cashmere underwear...

Dvorak continues to ramble on about the benefits of having a goat...

"Exactly my shadowy fellow! What colour apparel would you like?"
Laithelryn looks at the collected metal.
"How could we make a hammer? I need a kettle!"

Red, if you please. The shadowman considers exploring the island further; good as bananas, coconuts, and bacon are, some citrus fruits must be found to round out the diet.

Chris finishes his clay bucket and sets it on the ashes of a nearby fire-pit that he's covered in dead leaves, the rising heat starts to bake the clay, and leave a beautiful opalescent sheen on the outside as well. Chris then hands Lai a roughly cylindrical stone, "Will this work as a hammer on such short notice?"

Laithelryn looks at the bucket.
"Can you show me where you found clay‽ With that I can make equipment for making dye as well as a tea set! Once that is done I just need to make a teapot with some of this metal!"

Chris looks at the still firing bucket, "I suppose I can let this sit here a while. Sure, I'll show you." Chris stands and leads Lai to the banks of a nearby stream, along which are large amounts of red-veined clay.
