You could say the same thing about all Isekai really.
But as for my answer for how Ainz got transported, I'm going to go with magic, and a wizard did it.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. The Npc's were created by a bunch of otakus
Essentially each one of them were designed to fit their creators tastes
Albedo is suppose to be a giant Gap Moe Joke 'IE she looks Angelic but is a total Beyotch though oddly despite Ainz's fiddling with her the Beyotch parts still there its just layered under the obsessed with Ainz's part
Sebas is the right hand man any Warrior of Justice would like
Demiurge is exactly the type of hypercompetent sidekick an amoral bastard would need to keep his plans going
Bubble liked lolis and shotas plus crossdressing hence the twins designs

I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!Although it has yet to be revealed in any material, it is implied that Albedo’s true demonic appearance matches her true horrible personality. One suggestion is that demon form resembles a D&D Nalfeshnee, assuming Shaltear calling her a “wide mouthed gorilla” was a clue.
Disgusted, but not surprisedDemiurge gives me major James Wesley vibes from Daredevil.
So I'm looking forward to seeing how he does his work in this series. Every evil overlord needs a loyal secretary to handle the minutiae details of running an empire built on oppression, I mean, the benevolent will of the Overlord.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Neuronist Painkill herself at least makes clear Albedos true form is ugly because she makes clear to state her and Shalltear hide their true forms rather than be their true selves around Ainz.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I mean that would Track with the whole Gap moe theme between the sisters
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!
I'm amused how the only thing Ainz did was change what amounts to ONE LINE in her description.
So most of Albedo's ruthlessness and bad personality traits are all on her, except now rather than being a s*ut, she's laser-focused on Momonga.
It was a rather amusing throwaway joke that she cannot ride her mount - a bicorn that is also near max level iirc - because she's a virgin and the bicorn is weakened if ridden by one.
Dost Thou Desire the Power ... Glove? It's so bad.One thing the anime doesn't have is the extra character sheet stuff in the LN. Albedo's character sheet notes that her Karma is "-500 — Extremely Evil". Only Demiurge has as low a Karma rating.
It's easy to forget that when you see her from Ainz's perspective of course.
It should be noted that not all of Nazarick's denizens have Evil ratings. The only hard rule the guild had was that there be no Human members or npc's. They all had to be non-humans. Other than that, all alignments were fair game.
Because of this, the only npc's in Nazarick that have actual Job levels instead of Racial levels are the Dark Elf twins.

Disgusted, but not surprisedOf course there are the loopholes some of the servants exploit … since Ainz isn’t playing to his guilds role play of specie supremist 24/7 unfortunately he doesn’t realize that a few of the servants are
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole! There's a lot of reasons Word of God says Ainz is the worst leader in the series, and that's one of them.
Disgusted, but not surprisedThough as Ainz points out at one point IIRC Aureole Omega breaks that rule.
Though it's also noted that she's not exactly an ordinary Human since humans are not immortal like her.
Disgusted, but not surprisedEven the story lampshades that’s more semantics on the servants part
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole! The Pleaides really don't like thinking of Aureole Omega as a human since the Nazarick npc's are overwhelmingly prejudiced against humans.
So far we've never actually seen Aureole Omega in the story, so we have no idea how she feels about this. She might be a Boomerang Bigot, or maybe she's secretly annoyed by it but puts up with it anyway.

Disgusted, but not surprisediirc it's not that members of Nazarick ONLY have racial levels, but that they all have at least some racial levels. The balance between racial and job levels in the actual game was that heteromorphic races were considered weaker because jobs tend to be stronger than races but being a giant bug or whatever limited how many job levels you could get. It didn't mean you couldn't get anyway.
Looking it up again, it's a bit different from what I said earlier. The Dark Elf twins are the only ones with only Job levels. Since as Dark Elves they aren't technically Monsters they can't gain the Monster racial levels.
I guess Aureole Omega would also have only Job levels too, but we so far haven't had any specific info on her. The most we know about her is that she's got a build specializing in buffing allies.

Disgusted, but not surprisedYeah, that sounds closer. I think it was mentioned fairly early on that Naberal Gamma only as a few racial levels (just enough to pass as human if needed as opposed to Pandora's Actor) and most of her levels are caster class levels.
I've thought about the lower average "level" of the New World compared to Yggdrasil characters. And it makes sense when you think about it.
Power-leveling in a game is a much safer and easier and less time-consuming affair than achieving similar power would be in a real life fantasy world. A videogame setting, even an mmorpg trying to get as much cash from you as possible, isn't going to have any of the complications of real life. Not to mention not worrying about true permanent death, barring self-imposed challenge runs.
But in a "real" fantasy world? Trying to become stronger means risking actual death for yourself. You also have no real way to check your status or experience progress. And because actual people can't fight powerful monsters all the time in their lives, they can't gain experience that quickly anyway. As a result, it's impossible for beings with average lifespans akin to regular humans to achieve level 100.
The Yggdrasil characters basically benefit from the ultimate "cheat": they gained all of their power in an environment that made gaining such power incredibly easy and risk-free. New Worlders by contrast have to gain their power in actual life-or-death situations.

Disgusted, but not surprisedThat and the level of power they need is literally fatal to them

I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!Spoilers, the mods noted there are newcomers here. That's why I've mostly been discussing the extra details in the LN and other materials and not the actual main plot.
Besides, Brain's issue wasn't that he reached level 40+. It's that he imbibed a dangerous number of buffing potions to do so. If he had somehow reached that level naturally, he...well, he still would have died instantly to Cocytus.
Note how the only New Worlders with higher levels are either Long-Lived or immortal (like the Dragon Lords and the Elf King and the vampire Evileye), or have an experience gain buff thanks to being descended from Players like the Slane Theocracy's "God-kin". A regular human being just can't gain experience quickly enough to get to the higher levels in their lifetime. You either need much more time or a means to drastically shorten the needed time.

Disgusted, but not surprisedOverall power level of the world probably plays a factor. Yggdrasil has a designer made Sorting Algorithm of Evil from level 1 to level 100 that infinitely respawn for you. In the New World just about everyone is low levels fighting against other low levels. Some win, some lose, but the overall amount of XP and levels out there in the world stays low. A few immortals who can live long enough to cherry tap their way to power will simply stay up there, untouchable by anyone else but unable to advance due to lack of competition.
Just another way Yggdrasil made power leveling very easy compared to the New World.
It really puts into perspective just how much Gazef Stronoff had to struggle to gain the power he has as a regular mortal.
Disgusted, but not surprisedGranted given the mess Ygrdassil was I imagine dying still was a pain in the ass lol
Secret Signature
Never seen this show but imma go out with a theory that the new world isn't real and is simply a delusion created by Momoga as a way to cope with the stress of living in a dystopian future. I mean seriously, how else are you supposed to explain how the premise happened?
Naytheism should be the default, not the exception
