Yeah, and for a little bit I'll just be letting everyone establish their characters anyways. Plotty things probably won't happen for a day or two honestly.

I will also raise a hand for interest. I have been keeping a eye on the thread and it seems interesting. See what I can put together either tonight or tomorrow; just currently a lack of inspiration.

@Echoing Silence: Regarding your character's position in-game, I would say they get assigned to the Fey Hearts to be backup for the Subdue & Capture mission of the weakened Eldritchian Aurora Destroyer.

@Darkdestinysoul: Any general ideas you have in mind? Though, having a Seed Esper Fey Touched who can control their blood would be pretty neat.

I wasn't too sure, I don't like the idea of too much in the way of cybernetics. The idea of controlling blood could be cool and gross, good for a character discordance. Though the extend of such control and its utility becomes the question. I think I can work with that idea however. I am thinking CACHE or Seed Esper, likely the second.

Seed Esper doesn't require cybernetics for their pilots, and in Destiny Drive cybernetics are purely optional given how advanced cloning has become. I would also advise Seed Esper since CACHE is already at three players, and to avoid mobbing bosses I would need to shunt a fifth CACHE character into their own thing.

Regarding the extent of being a Deadman-I mean blood using Fey Touched, depends on how mutated you want them. Seed Esper can devise some means to make their piloting chamber better enable their power, such as Gabriel's Crimson Exosso injecting him with more resources for making bones.

Pilot Information

  • Name: Lucus Lockheart
  • Race: Human
  • Gender: Male
  • Faction: Höchste Einmal
  • Appearance: [1] Lucus is a slightly shorter than average and of a weak build. He has unkempt brown hair and deep blue eyes. He generally wears slightly baggy clothing unless he is expected otherwise.
  • Personality: Lucus has a bit of a split personality, though more correctly a facade over his true personality. Outwardly he is bright bubbly and laid back, especially when in large groups. Though in reality he is nervous and more depressed; taking refuge with his Mechs AI (See bellow) for comfort. He uses the laid-back humor of his facade to cover for how nervous he really is. He is exceptionally loyal to his allies.
  • Abilities & Skills:
    • Lucus is a bit of a Teen Genius having exceptional knowledge and skill with computers and engineering having worked on maintaining Armors and completing the AGI his father left since he was a child. He also has great knowledge of the science in general but most notably in experimental physics and chemistry. He does have some experience working with and building cybernetics but personally dislikes the idea of having them personally. He has tried to draw up some designs for androids but hasn't worked with them too much, focusing on trying to maintaining and building off his fathers designs over creating his own.
    • Lucus is fluent or close to in English, German and Japanese. He had to learn German to translate some of the notes from his fathers records while the Japanese was more a personal curiosity.
    • Lucus is a really good pilot of his machine at least, though less in different Armors and has before done maintenance on his own machine. While he lacks experience in actually fighting he makes up for it due to his thinking and precise aim.
  • Equipment: Lucus carries on his person his phone, a pair of headphones, his laptop and a Black Box AI Core (See bellow) all stored in a over the shoulder duffle bag. He also keeps a wallet with his pilots licence and some spare cash in his pocket. He keeps a smartphone over a communicator watch one as he prefers the look of it, though also as it certainly grants him another interface for testing software ideas.
  • Backstory:
    • Lucus was born on October 14th 1997 making him 17 years old as of the start here. His mother died in childbirth and was often left with baby sitters for the younger years of his life. At the age of 7 his father Matthew Lockheart who was a prominent scientist was caught up in a attack by an Eldritchians.
    • Lucus has no living siblings or other living relatives at all now. Lucus was left to inherit the family funds and his fathers resources including his research and a strange rectangular device lined with a blue crystal.
      • The device was a advance powerful computer system housing the framework for a general AI. Which Lucus spent much of his free time as a child tinkering with to complete, eventually by the age of twelve getting it functional. Ever since it has faced numerous upgrades and some slow reverse engineering to work out how it was built in the first place. (The reverse engineering has had little success thus far)
    • Lucus was taken in by his fathers old employer Höchste Einmal and lived in Elysium over the rest of his life. Losing his father forced Lucus to a long cycle of cynicism and depression where he worked for months looking through his fathers research and finishing the AI his father was developing. He reasoning was simple, if he could finish the research which seemed to be on ways to combat and destroy the Eldritchians maybe he could avenge his fathers death.
    • The fragmented AI slowly became his sole companion and support pillar as he withdrew. It was eventually named Agaris, a name his father had left in his records. Though his work was slow early on as Lucus made progress and managed to get the AGI fully functional on such a unusual and small peice of hardware, a number individuals began to notice that Lucus had quite a bit of potential and was officially made a part of Höchste Einmal at the age of 13; a year after the AGI's activation.
    • It has been 4 years since that day and since then Lucus has trained as both a pilot and in advanced physics and engineering. Lucus has been improving Agaris' programming making her capable of more than was previously possible. In addition Lucus spent alot of time in engineering as part of both his training and schooling trying to either decode his fathers old work or maintain or improve his old Armor. Lucus has become very proficient in their design and engineering through his years of work. Lucus has made few friends (though also few enemy's), by choice of keeping himself buried in research and engineering not for a lack of opportunity. Lucus is currently working part-time for Höchste Einmal as a pilot and engineer while attending the Albion school in Elysium and he would have if possible gotten himself a small apartment to live in privately since he has no family and enjoys a lot of privacy.
  • Opinion of other creatures: He is neutral to alien species except for the Eldritchians who he wants revenge on for killing his father. He feels pity for those infected by exposure.

Mecha Information

  • Name: Agaris (Technically its the name of the black box AI)
  • Type: Wunderwaffen
  • Appearance: [2] The humanoid design was carefully done by Lucus' father to effectively mimic the mobility and overall proportions of a human body. This was to help facilitate a users ability to control the Armor through VAR technology, even if they have little training or experience. The aesthetics were mostly Lucus' design which he based on old manga he has seen; though he will openly admit he got lazy with the plain color scheme and just left the engineers to color them however they saw fit.
  • Personality: The Mech actually uses the portable AI Lucus got from his father. She is a powerful analytical agent that aids in navigation, enemy detection, targeting and also a personal assistant for Lucus. It is caring and protective of Lucus, so actually and has acted like a mother or older sibling when he has been in need. Since Lucus always keeps the core on his person, Agaris is always by his side ether connected through the Armor or just linked to his smartphone or laptop. During the full use of the Armors VAR system she almost becomes a peice of Lucus acting as a calming voice even when he is stressed.
  • Capabilities:
    • The Armor is priamrilly controlled via VAR which allows for it to be piloted in a exceptionally precise way. The Armor also had a internal set of joysticks and levers for control but Lucus finds them too clunky for combat purposes. The Armors subsystems are controlled by Lucus' AI which can be slotted into the main interface which also handles giving tactical information and assistance in combat.
    • The Agaris has the ability to project hard-light barriers parallel to its forearms which are good at defending against most forms of ballistic and explosive weaponry. Against laser-type weaponry meanwhile it is virtually useless. Using the barriers does make it difficult to also use weaponry to the angle the arms must be placed at. This was designed as a method of defense that was lighter than adding more armor though it does drain the Armors power instead. In addition the shields being projected from the arms mean that at most it can only protect from two directions can be protected from at one time, so being attacked from multiple directions will make them difficult to use.
    • Agaris is capable of two methods of flight, its first is a slower method of hovering with directional thrust to angle the movement and keep the machine upright. This was designed for combat, its maximum speed not being huge but capable for most purposes. The second method is its ability to fold and transform into what looks synonymous with a jet, it is designed for high speed travel from destination to destination but does greatly limit the offensive ability. This form is usually controlled by Agaris due to Lucus not knowing how to pilot a jet manually and it not working with the VAR controls.
    • Agaris has two main on-board weapons the first are a pair of retractable electrified blades "Arc Blades" for close quarters combat. The blades are made from a compound of metals making it exceptionally durable and decently sharp. The second on-board weapon is Hand Cannon that fires charged slugs of super-heated metal. In simplified terms it is a very large plasma pistol. The Armor can only carry a limited number of blocks of suitable metal per load-out. There is a limited amount of excess power available to be re-directed into the weapon systems, therefore only one can be powered up at a time.
  • External Equipment:
    • A large scale rifle, based on the pistols design has been developed for long ranged combat. It is not always taken into combat as its weight can slow down the Armor as a whole and there is limited space for ammunition.
    • There are separate attachments for the Armor to make it more suitable to either underwater, high or low temperatures or Zero-G environments. Such are admittedly prototypes that mostly haven't been tested however due to a lack of necessity.
  • Creation Background: The Mech was originally owned by Lucus' father though it too was incomplete, Höchste Einmal tried to re-purpose it after his demise but it seemed to be programmed with a unique encrypted sequence. As Lucus grew up and discovered more about his fathers research he equally became increasingly interested in the Armor. Others had just skipped over it, the time it would take to decode the sequence was longer than building one from scratch and it seemed incomplete anyway. Lucus meanwhile began to sift through the files and logs he inherited with help from Agaris the AI and eventually decoded the sequence within a long series of video logs with his fathers research. Alot of the research was on ways to combat the Eldritchians and some mention of a Project Salvation; though Lucus has so far failed to find out much about the project. (Though there is still quite a lot of research left to be decoded.) The Armor was produced by his father as a platform for testing experimental weaponry and designs. Due to his ability to decode the encryption and his apparent ability at maintaining it Lucus was eventually granted it as his personal Armor to be both trained in and later for combating Eldritchians. Lucus adapted the system to allow his AI Agaris to control its main systems in replacement of the very basic software pre-loaded for testing before. Lucus had made quite a few modifications and has completed the Armors overall systems with help from his fathers notes and a lot of study. He does not claim to the original creator though he has certainly done a huge amount of work on the machine considering it was just a prototype skeleton of a machine in comparison before.

As you see I went way off the previous idea and I noticed that no one went for Höchste Einmal yet. I spent hours debating this with myself and as you see this is WIP but any ideas or criticisms would be appreciated.

Edit: Been continuing to work on this and taking into account what was said bellow. In addition to just refining the overall system story. I also might put together some info on the Eldritchian that killed Lucus' father. Just to add to the overall lore.

Second edit: Correcting spelling, I knew I made a mistake in there somewhere. Of course it would be angel instead of angle.

Nirvash! Hmm... Well, I am treating Destiny Drive as a straight up alternate of our reality thus why I mentioned more casual elements like Defictionalization, the use of AGIs as Digital Actors, and even some stuff on games. Basically, my point is, using Nirvash as an image is valid. However, things do need context on the choice of a specific image (such as Pacific Rim being more of a biography/historically influenced film there, the power of coincidence, blatant in-universe design etc) for it to be acceptable. So looking to see what you say regarding Agaris' design looking like Nirvash.

Regarding the rest of the application, everything looks good so far. The Four Altens likely stayed uninvolved with his dad's stuff because they wanted to see how skilled Lucus is, though they also wouldn't say outright that's the reason. It should also be noted with all the advanced technology, the bar is higher to fit certain levels of genius. To give some context, building a functional enough cybernetic arm is more of a basic thing there than here. One of the more extremes of normal Teen Genius there would be someone who can construct an entire android/gynoid, whereas crafting a fully functional Armor from scratch would come off as pretty suspicious for a teen (thus more likely someone who studied from childhood than dabble).

I would say technology is a bit over the place due to how for a while technological advancements was just understanding the Meteorites and refining existing technologies. So in some places you got purely cutting edge technology, in others you got things more fitting our level, and then mix-n-match in the rest. There's also just the value in using older devices instead, as while a communicator watch is cool some would just like smartphones better.

Though, regarding suggestions, perhaps his father knew about Project Salvation and thus encrypted his work so no random person could just peek? I would say anything he found on the subject in his father's work would just make references to how it is about genociding the Eldritchians. Regarding Agaris, I am rather curious about them. Oh, and it should be noted, these four Altens are not omniscient they're just retain plenty of useful knowledge so it is possible to genuinely wow one of them with new inventions.

However, since I wasn't expecting an Einmal player, I didn't construct an Episode 1 Mission. Therefore, feel free to decide what his status is team-wise and what he would specifically do as an Einmal Pilot.

Well I have made some changes all over the sheet and finished on the missing sections if you want to look over them. If I am still missing something or have gone over the top somewhere (which I do sometimes) feel free to tell me so I can fix it.

When it comes to being part of Höchste Einmal that was mainly because I noticed there was no one and kinda thought it would be nice to start off that trains so perhaps others might join there, though I am not opposed to adapting it to Seed-Esper if you as GM think its better/easier for you. When it comes to being part of a squad and assignments I have no idea actually. Without others it does make being part of Höchste Einmal at the moment it does make a squad or dealing with major matters more difficult.

So I imagine the plot at-least till we get more players might be focused on smaller missions such as Armor criminals, escorts, deliveries, rescue missions, ect. Or I suppose possibly even temporarily helping out another organisation like the seed esper if they were desperate enough. Though this is just me throwing ideas at the wind. Lucus would like to handle Eldritchian matters but sending a lone agent may be a bit dangerous.

Well, since you reduced his age... Perhaps he could go to Elysium's premier school Albion (cause the original name Avalon is pretty commonly used out-of-universe)? I'll add a more detailed Segment on it soon enough, but basically Albion is Highschool + Armor Training + Advanced Scientific Learning making it perfect for him. It also allows me to show some about CACHE's teenage Arts (used as slang for Artificial Lifeform) and in general other teenage related stuff.

Regarding his role in Einmal, I would say the organization is mainly trying to figure out who to pair him with while the Altens are interested in seeing how far he goes alone. Though since Einmal would be pretty empty with just Lucus, you can have him starting off Episode 1 by visiting Seed Esper. However I do want some Einmal players, so feel free to keep him there.

Other than suggesting you to check over the Manual three hours from now, I see nothing wrong with his application. I am amused by the use of angel in place of angle, so that got an idea brewing in my head I would like to offer as a possible upgrade to his Wunderwaffen. Though yeah, you're approved and post whenever you feel like it (you can use the post to give a more in-depth account of the Eldritchian attack claiming his father by the way).

And it's already twelve posts in?

It turns out the discussion thread dropped itself off my watchlist too... either that or I never actually added it. Sorry, guys, my bad. I'll get a post up later tonight.

Yeah I reduced the age, something didn't ring right for me with his age higher so I reduced it slightly. Also corrected the error, I did mean angle not angel. Though I am sure you have gotten some good ideas from that typo. tongue

Being part of Albion? Sure it sounds perfect and if it helps you explore different ideas it makes it even better. I will keep a eye out for additions to the manual and will work on a post in a little bit. ^_^

I admit, I'm rather surprised nobody has applied as a Skyblazer so far. Their race is actually rather important for the overall story. Besides that, I'm also a little surprised there isn't more artificial beings.

I considered the artificial being but I already had a similar character for a different RP so I didn't want them to be too similar.

For skyblazer I gave that serious contemplation but I couldn't find a elemental concept I liked. I hope we can get some more sign ups, it would make this even better.

Ok, here goes nothing...

Name: Azazel

Race: Android

Faction: Höchste Einmal

Appearance: (Looks about 28ish) Average height with a slightly muscular build, but not like a body builder, but a guy who works out regularly. Typically wears a pair of black basket ball pans and light t-shirt, but has been known to dress nicely on occasion, though he refuses to wear a uniform. He wears surprisingly durable tennis shoes and a kickass pair of shades. He is tan with black hair and grey eyes.

Personality: Strikingly adventurous, loves pushing the limits of what he can do, so obviously, he chose an Icarus, but can have a difficult time with it. He enjoys meeting new people, but will take a good adventure over it any day.

Because of his adventurous spirit and defictionalization core, he loves reading and watching, comics, anime, action, romance, comedy: anything he can get his hands on.

Even though he enjoys meeting new people, he is somewhat socially awkward, having a tendency to slur his speech, and become clumsy during social events.

Abilities and Skills: Though he isn't bad with a gun or sword, his true skill is going old fisticuffs with someone, he has a black belt in almost every hand to hand martial art that is still taught.

Deficitionalization Core: To a certain degree he can mimic any character he has seen or watched, but it puts a strain on his body, the more power he mimics the more strain he puts on his body. The character will also determine the amount of time he can use it.

Equipment: Sniper rifle, a pistol, high-density sword (metal lightsaber that can be blocked pretty much), and, his personal favorite, his brass knuckles.

Backstory: During creation, he was tampered with and had a defictionalize core placed in his head, which somehow went unnoticed until after he was finished and began using it. CACHE declared him faulty and therefore was not going to use him. However, by a stroke of luck, or the strand of fate, Einmel bought him and trained him for mech piloting, which was something of the his first adventure outside of CACHE facilities, they paired him with his first mech, Asumura, which had small capabilities as a Mundane, but was only used for his training, and afterwards, he was given a Super Battle Type named Doragon Hanshu, since it was in the shape of a dragon. For a few years, Azazel used it, until a band of pirates destroyed it and kidnapped him.

The Battle of Ja'ren: Though Azazel wasn't a terrible mech pilot, there were plenty of better pilots out there, one such being named Ja'ren and his pirate crew, though they built their own and had an entire ship armed to the teeth in weapons, Azazel didn't lose spirit and confronted his enemy with much heart. Though he was obviously outgunned, Ja'ren had a small bit of honor, call it honor among thieves, and decided to confront Azazel one on one. Azazel, even though, putting a great deal of spirit into the battle, was regrettably, not strong enough, and lost to Ja'ren, who cut Doragon in half, but managed to keep it from exploding and killing Azazel, since later, his piloting skills may be of use on the slave market or as a hostage for ransom.

Pirate Years: After being kidnapped for several months, the captain, Ja'ren, took a liking to him and his undying spirit and constant elaborate escape attempts. So he began to teach Azazel sword play. For about another six months, Azazel stayed as a member of the crew, learning to use a shortsword and longsword but Seed Esper had other ideas. After "freeing" him from Ja'ren and his pirate crew, (They captured Ja'ren, but I am hoping to bring that up in-character as a rather interesting conversation at a lunch table or something.) Azazel was free to do as he pleased.

Martial Arts Training: That was when he met his first martial arts master, Master Rai, who taught him a more aggressive style of fighting known as Karate. Azazel took a liking to martial arts, they made him feel free, and kept him safe. So he began studying abroad with whoever was willing to teach him, and for three years did only this until he was needed by an old friend from Einmal, and he rushed to his comrade's aid without question. What he found was an Eldritchian, and that was no easy task, he hadn't had a mech for years and had no idea how to fight such a beast, and ended up pushing his defictionalization core past his limit, sending him into a coma for several more months, when he woke, his friend Jelal, was still waiting for him.

The battle and Coma State: At first, Azazel thought it was nothing but a jester, but it turned out to be a lethal joke, with large physical power, and began demoslishing several buildings on the colony Alpha 9-6, where he happened to be finishing his Jujitsu training, though it was not that large, the Eldritchian easily laid waste to anything, and rampaged through the streets. At first, Azazel wasn't going to get involved, but a young child changed his mind. The lethal joke slammed it's fist towards the small boy, Azazel just happened to be standing near enough to grab the kid and move, using his defictionalization core to grant him super-speed. When Azazel had moved the kid out of the way, he looked back at the lethal joke, rather po'd. He stuck his hands in his pockets and slipped on his brass knuckles he'd bought back on Beta Centurai 4, a small mining planet where he learned Kung-fu. That was when Jelal showed up, slamming into the opponent with his mech, Nirvana, and knocked the beast several feet back.

Nirvana was a different mech, having no actual weapons, but being extremely strong and built tough, so it was best suited to a hand to hand combat battle. It's armored build looked almost humanoid with an upright stance, proportions, and fists.

Jelal piloted Nirvana repeatedly into the beat, shoulder bashing it all the way to the far edge of the city, which had already been evacuated, and began fighting him there, but wasn't going to be strong enough on his own, so Azazel decided to go, drawing his shortsword and longswrod together, he rushed into the battle in the knick of time, as Nirvana was being pushed back, and had fallen to the ground. Azazel rushed over and cut at the beast repeatedly, but to no avail as it dodged repeatedly, knocking him down and going in for a killing strike with it's claws, but Jelal had gotten Nirvana back to it's feet and struck the lethal joke in the face, but it turned around, giving Azazel the time to focus and build up his defictionalization core making himself have the abilities of Yusuke Yurameshi, and jumped forwards, swinging two kicks, but they were parried, so he jumped back and built up energy into his finger, and after about a minute of Nirvana holding it off, he yelled, "Move out of the way!" and released a spirit gun knocking the beast to the ground, but still not killing it, though, damaged it retreated from the area, and with that, Azazel shorted out sending him into a coma state. After about two months and several surgeries, if you could call him that, he awoke. Jelal was waiting for him and gave him a formal invitation back to Einmal. With that, he returned to Einmal before being paired with...

Appearance: this except black and red instead of white and gold

Personality: Sarcastic, would rather be anywhere but docked and tends to try to help out when possible, but it's typically with snappy comments that come out hurtful.

He doesn't like people who call a project or mechanism faulty, or broken, but instead likes phrases such as "needs a tune up." He isn't overly bad about it, but push those buttons too much, and he'll snap. Though, he is a rather gentle giant to most people, except when he's being piloted, and he never out looking to hurt someone.

Capabilities: Super-speed, flight, durable plasma shield, average mech strength.

Piloting mechanism is a controller, almost like a video game, making combos really simple, but overly elaborate maneuvers a little more difficult.

Failsafe: If the pilot becomes incompacitated, Aincrad can pilot himself to escape, but is only programmed to escape a battle and return home, not fight.

External Equipment: Large mid-range rifle, Regular shield, High-density Sword, Several Missiles

Creation Backstory: Airncard is extremely rare, being able to use the auto pilot. Aincrad, when built, did not have an A.I., but his creator felt there was something missing. Thus, Aincrad was born.

His A.I. made him rather sarcastic, and sometimes downright rude, but he has a gentler nature underneath such an exterior. The problem was, he didn't feel anybody was fit to pilot him. So for about a year and a half, he had no true pilot, and would reject most anybody trying to use him.

After that year and a half, his first pilot came in, and proved herself worthy, and her name was Emilia. After such a feat, Emilia piloted Aincrad for several more months , until a disease overtook her, and she became paralyzed from the waist down. With that, Aincrad went back to rejecting pilots, swearing that only Emilia could choose his next pilot, and so she did, and his name was Azazel, another faulty project. Training didn't go so well at first, Aincrad rejected Azazel, but soon found that Azazel was a more pure spirit, longing for the adventures that only a kid could believe in, and so Aincrad sympathized with the new pilot and made Azazel promise to never sop adventuring until he was put like Emelia or died.

I would like a bit more backstory and specifics for them. Though so far things look workable.

Pilot Information

  • Name: Seth Stiles
  • Race: Augmented human
  • Faction: Höchste Einmal
  • Appearance: Seth is slim and of average height, with shoulder-length black hair and unnaturally bright green eyes. On a normal day, his clothing consists of, at minimum, a band T-shirt and/or New York Mets jersey, black jeans, and black Chuck Taylors. Depending on the day, his outfit might include any combination of a Mets hat, aviator shades, and a United States jacket. For formal occasions, he tends towards three-piece suits that are all black except for a red or gold tie.
  • Personality: Seth's fundamental belief is that people are meant to explore their world and pursue their passions. In his case, this translates to learning everything he can about technology and music. The latter is Seth's primary means of self-expression; even before he picked up guitar, one of his favorite things to do from age seven on was go to local punk shows with his older brother. As for technology, Seth has been awestruck by mechas ever since he was a little kid, and he knows the way his works inside and out. If presented with the latest technological gadget, he'll gladly try it out.
    • As for Seth personally, he usually acts like his blood is at least 10% caffeine, and will gladly talk for hours if the conversation he's in is interesting enough—and there are many, many subjects Seth finds interesting, from baseball to Chinese food to why his favorite bands need to play more shows in Elysium. He highly values authenticity, and if he feels someone's compromised their principles, whether it's a band selling out or a politician taking bribes, he won't hesitate to call them out on it. When he's alone, however, he's much calmer and more self-critical. No matter what he does, Seth never feels like he's gotten good enough for his own approval, and that feeling of incompleteness both pushes him to do more and leaves him wishing he had someone he could truly open up to.
  • Abilities & Skills: Thanks to his implants, Seth has incredible reflexes and perception, which enables him to take Guns Akimbo and make it a viable combat skill. Seth also sings and plays guitar, which he puts to use in local post-hardcore band Steal the Constitution, and years of going into mosh pits have both elevated his pain tolerance and given him the ability to hold his own in a hand-to-hand brawl.
  • Equipment: Two Beretta 92's, a smartphone, a Fender Telecaster and all the gear that goes with it
  • Backstory: Born in 1997 in Las Vegas, Seth has never known a world where Earth wasn't under siege from Eldritchians. He knows their destructive powers all too well; when he was eleven, an Eldritchian attack sent shrapnel into his arms, legs, and eyes, blinding him and wounding him severely. In order to repair the damage and restore his sight, the doctors had to use cybernetic implants, which ended up putting his abilities beyond what they were before. His previous fascination with technology turned into a full-blown obsession, and with a newfound grudge against the Eldritchian menace, Seth devoted himself to getting into Albion. Once there, he aligned himself with Einmal, partly because of his personal vendetta against Eldritchians and partly because he likes their mechs better. Now, in his final year of study, he's finally received a mech all his own, and he feels ready to take on the world.
  • More on Seth's Worldview: Seth sees normal Eldritchians as the enemy, plain and simple, and wants nothing more than to get them the hell away from Earth. The one thing that pisses him off most—aside from trying to cut or tie back his hair—is the idea that Eldritchians are agents of God's wrath or otherwise somehow fit within religion. However, he has far more sympathy for the Fey Touched, since the origins of their abilities reminds him of how he got his augmentations, and the Skyblazers, who he sees as refugees from genocide. As for Fae, he's somewhere in between; he doesn't necessarily trust them, but he won't exactly shoot on sight, either.

Mecha Information

  • Name: The Chariot of Fire
  • Type: Super Wunderwaffen
  • Appearance: Despite its name, the Chariot of Fire doesn't have much of a fire motif. Instead, he named it after a song off of one of his favorite albums from when he was a kid. Based off of this, but with a more angular design. The color scheme consists of black with white and purple accents. Contained within its shoulders and the sides of its torso are massive amplifiers.
  • Personality: Seth, upon being presented with the chance to design his mech's avatar and personality, immediately jumped at the chance and created "M.O.L.L.Y." (it doesn't stand for anything; Seth just felt like it needed to be an initialism.) M.O.L.L.Y.'s avatar is a girl about Seth's age and height with stunning good looks dressed in a white crop top, tight jeans, and Doc Martens. She has a soothing Irish accent, which makes her sarcastic banter and blunt honesty much more calming and easier to swallow. At his personal request, if Seth is on the verge of an emotional or psychological breakdown, M.O.L.L.Y. is programmed to reassure him and keep him from snapping.
  • Capabilities: The Chariot of Fire is controlled by copying Seth's movements, with AR cues as to what he's holding in each hand so that he can adjust accordingly, along with verbal commands. The mech is designed to play to Seth's combat specializations and cybernetic implants. Its reflexes and movement capabilities are beyond that of the average Wunderwaffen, in accordance with Seth's own augmentations, but everything else is about average. Its primary defense is a Beehive Barrier plasma shield that contours to the shape of the mech, which is only visible when something hits it. In the Chariot's wrists are two machine guns, one for each hand. Firing requires Seth to make a verbal command and then make a fist. If he wants to throw a punch, he has to issue a verbal command to stop the guns from firing. As for escaping, if Seth is knocked out, the suit can fly away on its own to an area outside the combat zone, but this requires the suit to drop all shields, leaving it vulnerable to attack.
  • External Equipment:
    • Ranged: Two pistols, scaled up to the mech's size and designed to be used in the Guns Akimbo style. The pistols have two modes of ammunition: unguided missiles, and plasma beams. The latter drains a small amount of energy from the plasma shields.
    • Melee/Special: The Guillotine, the mech's signature weapon, carried on his back and held there by magnets . Designed to resemble a cross between a battle axe and a guitar, its blade is made from one of the sharpest metal alloys on Earth. The Guillotine can be used in two ways. If swung, it works like a battle axe, but at the size of a mech. Its other mode, and the signature ability of the mech, requires Seth to issue a verbal command to lower his Telecaster from its compartment and into its hands. Once he does this, the amplifiers in the mech's body stick out, and when Seth plays the Telecaster, the Chariot plays the Guillotine, unleashing massive sonic blasts that can knock down skyscrapers. The attacks are generally more powerful if Seth knows what he's doing and plays a song that he knows.
  • Creation Background: As a reward for his high marks last year, Seth was allowed to design his very own mech for use in combat. He decided to build a mech that would combine everything he considered essential about his identity into something uniquely his own, and the Chariot of Fire was the end result. Seth considers it his magnum opus, and if it's destroyed, he'll probably design the Chariot Mark II rather than coming up with something else.

X

Now that I think of it, Seth's personality might fit better with CACHE, but since there seem to be too many people in CACHE, I'll leave him in Einmal for now. If he would fit better in another faction, I can adjust his backstory and motivations accordingly.

Well, there are odd folk in Einmal as well, so I have no problem with Seth working for them. Thus I deem him approved, though some more detail on how he views Eldritchians and the surrounding culture (Fey Touched, Eldritchian cults, the Skyblazer racism, etc) would be nice.

Woo a partner to work with in future! Also yeah I think everyone is a little "off" even in Einmal. ^_^

@Edwards Senpai: Well CACHE wouldn't "scrap" any of their creations (most of the time), allowing them to be people as much as that's possible for them. Seed Esper is also the only one to use Armor Type classifications, and VESTA is the name of their Armors. Though other then that, I just need some explanation regarding how his old Armor got destroyed/why the captain trained him/why he took a liking to martial arts & that whole Eldritchian encounter.

Ah, I see, so then, I need to reread that op, goddamn wordy thing, but the others can be fixed a little easier, a'ight, hopping on this now.

Ok, so, I've worked up a storm on this one, let's see how it plays out this time.

Well any mining planets would be within the Milky Way, and Defictionalizing abilities would be purely guesswork. Though other than that acceptable, and feel free to write a post establishing your character.
