Is there a deconstruction fic of this show? Or some episodes? Asking, because I would love to read it. Did some search, but found nothing. Maybe I need to look deeper or elsewhere.
Well, I had a brainstorm of how the TTG!Titans are actually one of several other expendable clones (thus explaining how they get around certain fates like being household appliances, horrific bug creatures, or even being dead) that were made specifically to milk the very concept of the Teen Titans similarly to that team of teen superheroes that turned out to be clones from the Justice League Unlimited episode, "Ultimatum" that were constructed to A) get the masses to like more than the Justice League and B) to make a killing in the lucrative marketing phenomena of teen superheroes.
Then the mastermind(s) behind this "Clone Titan" BS would be guys who look like the producers of the show, like how the super teen clones were masterminded by Amanda Waller in that same JLU episode.
But I never got around to putting it somewhere.
(If you really want, you could take this idea and go nuts with it yourself.)

Damn. mang, I like what you came up with.
As much as I'd want to, I can't write for shit, so I'm gonna wait for someone else to do it. Good thing I'm extremely patient about waiting for stuff.
My morbid curiosity got the better of me, so I had to take a look. Is Beast Girl the worst episode in the world? Nah. In fact, this episode probably sits somewhere on the better half of the spectrum. The Titans aren't mean-spirited assholes, and they rightly call out BB being so dense he mistakes his reflection for another person.
Seems like the most obvious/expected choice to simply make the Opposite Titans the opposite gender. The Bizarro Titans feel even more like opposites than they do.

That'll be fun. Unfortunately, I probably can't see it in the theater. Generally, I only go with other people(I don't drive), so if there's no other fans... yeah.
USA Today is now reporting that Superman will be voiced by Nicolas Cage. Okay. That's a perfect Mythology Gag.
That explains Halsey (as WW).
Lol, that's actually pretty funny.
"Pardon me, that extremely loud and extremely deep voice you may have just heard. It was me. Oh, it is such a long story..."That Green Lantern reference slayed me.
Yeah, that was admittedly pretty funny.
And, dang if they aren't going to run that fart joke into the ground...

"Pardon me, that extremely loud and extremely deep voice you may have just heard. It was me. Oh, it is such a long story..."I wonder how the film will do box-office wise. I like Go, to a degree, but the film just seems like an expensive, long episode. It reminds me of the Teacher's Pet film. I remember loving that show as a kid but the film was beyond disappointing because it just felt like a rehash.
Maybe this will be surprisingly good like The LEGO Batman Movie, however.
Financially? The film costs so little that even a comparatively minor box office run will net a decent profit.
Critically? Since when has that ever stopped Go from doing anything?
At this point, you know what you're getting from TT Go. But it's financially insulated enough that it should do just fine.

This damn show has grown on me I must admit.
It's just unapologetically silly. It's not what any fans of the old series were expecting, but it might actually be good at what it does.
One Strip! One Strip!
I think the vitrol is the fact they go for the laziest forms of comedy and have really nonsensical plots that fail in appeal or execution.
Not to mention that most of the time, the main characters are just plain mean to each other...
At least, that's what turns me off from keeping tabs on this show.
I was referring to financially. Cartoon-to-film movies are hit and miss.
I've always liked Go and I'm a fervent fan of the original. I think most of the hate comes from the fact there are no other alternatives. Beware the Batman, Green Lanter TAS, and Young Justice were all canned, and Justice League Action is essentially dead, so there are no other DC cartoons on TV besides Go. DC Superhero Girls is coming out soon, but it's not something most DC fans care for.

@Targetmaster Joe
You are right they are mean. I tolerate them if they were likable, but the show goes out of their way to portray them as just even worse than the supposed villains. I mean they can act a little bit sillier, but they don't have to act like obnoxious jerks who don't care who they hurt in order to fulfill their selfish whims.
I mean, making them outright jerks in the name of comedy isn't inherently bad. Lots of shows are built on the main characters being outright bastards of varying shades. That's basically Seinfeld's entire premise is that all of the main characters are selfish twits (and then It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia escalates that premise further by making it TV-MA).
The problem is when they don't get at least some kind of comeuppance or when it goes just a little bit too far in jerkish behavior. Like, yeah, they're sometimes more evil than the actual villains...which is kind of part of the joke. It just depends on how they go about said joke.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Sometimes jerks can be funny, however, I do think it can be a very required taste to the point people will begin to throw up their hands and say they don't give a hoot about them.
Yeah this is why the show would of been better if it was a direct adaption to Superdickery. Cause lets face it, the idea od Superman (and the Legion of Super Heroes) being outright sociopathic assholes is a lot more amusing to watch. Case in point, that Batman The Brave and the Bold episode which actually does that.
Speaking of Supes, and the whole news of Nicolas Cage as him, the movie better not miss out on the chance of making Superman being a bigger unlikable jackass than the Titans. It would be a disgrace to us comic readers everywhere that Superdick isn’t given his best qualities put on the big screen . . . aside from his DCEU portrayal.
Or, obviously, Cage!Superman and TTG!Robin engaging in Ham to Ham Combat.
You know you want it.
ETA: Pretty Hilarious in Hindsight with the bees moment, too.

I just remembered Cage was going to play Superman once. I wonder if they'll reference that.
I dunno if I wanna waste money watching something that's essentially an extended version of the show.
The trailer alone pretty much repeats the same self-mockery jokes that the show has done over and over at this point with an overextended fart joke. You remember that joke at the beginning of the Simpsons Movie where Homer calls everyone in the audience a "big sucker" for paying for something they watch on TV for free? That's kinda the vibe I get from this movie already.
