Ps Link requires that you own a Ps 4. Its just streaming the game over the internet, not releasing the entire library on PC. That would just be insane.
I am pretty stoked for this game. I am crunching to finish off Dying Light so I have time for it.
Who watches the watchmen?A man can dream.
Could be their next project (A bit like that streaming site that shut down, but for PS 4 titles) once this generation of consoles goes down. Heck, a subscription service for Sony to stream titles, wouldn't be a bad idea.
Anyway, annoyed this launches next week - Missing prime opportunity for weekend fun! Though at leas tit lands on Pay Day
Here is the Launch Trailer.
The trailer looks pretty cool and of course I am now riding the hype train.
I already pre-ordered this shit to make sure the stores not out of copy's.
Already spent 40 bucks & I'm very excited for the final result.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Definitely interested in this game. I'd love to try it once I've finished everything else I'm in the middle of.
I preordered this last Monday after reviews dropped and I'm picking it up at 9pm CST tonight. Here we go!
So how is it? I've been thinking about getting it. I'm on the fence.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! If only I had the money right now to buy it...
For those of you who do get it. Make sure you watch the opening movie when you first start up the game. It is story.

Who watches the watchmen?I'll be picking this up tomorrow sometime. Probably won't get to seriously sit down with it until the day after though.
Already downloading it. It was pretty much the reason I bought a PS 4, so I hope this is worth it!
I'm not sure if I can stream or record it, but I can take some screenshots and post them somewhere along with text, I suppose. Just not today, I'm quite busy.
... And that's called jazz! You can stream on PS 4, and it's always recording so that when you hit share, you can immediately save video. It only records the last 15 minutes though, or since whenever you last saved video.
Oh yeah yeah, but everytime I try to stream on Twitch, it sticks with the last title I used, even if I had set it on my PS 4 before streaming. And I can't really get into Twitch from my PC to get that fixed for the time being, so I dunno.
... And that's called jazz!Man, this game is amazing. The story is excellent by videogame standards, the worldbuilding of the "Metal World" is astounding, the characters are instantly likable and the combat handles like a dream.
I knew this was a smart preorder.
OK, tips from someone whose been playing since Monday night:
- Fall damage is a thing.
This is Borderlands 1, not Borderlands 2. Climb down, don't jump down.
- Aloy is a Glass Cannon.
I got in a watcher's face, just to see what Aloy could take. He took off like 3/4ths of my health bar in one strike. You cannot Rambo your way through this game, if stealth combat isn't your bag, don't bother.
- Do the "new weapon" tutorials.
I generally skip such things, but they give XP, which gets you skill points. Speaking of....
- Get "Silent Strike" first.
I got it thinking "cool, I can hunt small game easier", but apparently "small game" also means "all of the machines you meet early game". Watchers, striders, scrappers.
Further hints and bulletins as events warrant.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117Things the game wants me to do in the second Cauldron: Defeat a Snapjaw and a Ravager with 0 cover.
Things I can't do: Defeat a Snapjaw and a Ravager with 0 cover.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!Haven't had a chance to actually play yet, but straight out of the gate one of my pet peeves: a cutscene before you can access settings, and the subtitles on by default :P
Speaking of worldbuilding, it is important to pay attention to things and stopping to hear people. Through the Nora's folklore, you get a better picture of what happened (though of course it's heavily altered).
Other cool thing I heard of (and have seen myself) is how the characters view things we know in the present. A failing recognition procedure in a door is interpreted as a deity giving a mission, a schizophrenic is someone who's tormented by the spirits of forgotten heretics or something, and so on. So awesome.

... And that's called jazz!.......why wouldn't you want subtitles on?
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117I like the ruins. They are eerie, dark, and convey a sense of something having gone horribly wrong.
Speaking of which it is worth finding and revisiting the ruin you get the scanner device from as a more adult Aloy.
Who watches the watchmen? Sylens is David Harewood, non?
Wow I was way off. It's Lance Reddick. How did I not get that?

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!Yeah I saw there was a weird room with a pillar and a shaft of light... was hoping we get to go back there. Also, really interesrting how all the "screens" are just holographic projectors essentially for your GOOGLE GLASS RIP OFF... ahem. Lovely design
Also, I would like to note after having just played the opening:
1) OH WOW THIS GAME IS SO PRETTY
2) PREETTTTTYYYY
3) 6 year old Aloy is such an accurate capture of a childs behaviour
4) Oh my goodness THE FEELS
5) The whole UI / combat element feels so right.
6) PRETTY
The game is pretty well put together. The tribe is a bit nuts though. Especially with their religion. I get the sense the leaders are a bit oppressive and heavy handed with the law from all the folks I have talked to so far.
Who watches the watchmen?
Yeah, it's guerilla games. So, pretty much chained to Sony.
I mean, you could play via PS link to your PC... but that's just streaming really. And i think you still need a playstation...
This is going to be a day 1 buy for me, probably moreso than Andromeda. Still not pre-ordering.... but definitely day 1 buy.
