Fresh from New York Comic Con 2016!

...I wonder how much longer until we get a trailer for DuckTales (2017).

I like it so far! It goes back to Disney's 2D roots. How long until we get a Sofia The First crossover with this?

Love the art. And it looks like the plot does indeed involve Rapunzel's hair growing back. NO CONTINUITY ERRORS HERE!

I've got Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash, Spyro, and Paper Mario fanfics.

So this is going to be an action comedy show, right? I can dig it. Not sure how I feel about the art style, though.

Did they give an explanation for the hair at the con?

Looking great so far! I like the 2D artstyle they're going with. Looking forward to when it comes out.

[up][up]My guess is because without it, there would be no show.

Isn't most of Disney's recent (like last 10 years-ish) TV animation original? I think they can get away with something like this.

Besides, they've made decent TV spin-offs of movies before.

You've only given one example of bad out of... what is it, 10 shows or something?

Yeah, plus the original Stitch show was really good.

This is a minor point, but I'm really glad that they're referring only to him as "Eugene." It's my pet peeve when people still call him Flynn after the point the movie made about how that wasn't the real him.

Original Disney animated shows in the last 5-7 years:

  • Gravity Falls
  • Star vs. the Forces of Evil
  • Milo Murphy's Law
  • Star Wars Rebels (arguably)
  • Wander Over Yonder
  • Pickle and Peanut
  • Future Worm
  • Penn Zero
  • Phineas and Ferb
  • Randy Cunningham
  • Motorcity

Those are just the ones off the top of my head.

Out of that, I have only ever watched Phinease and Ferb.

I was referring to their trend in movies.

[up][up][up]Remember when Karxrida was said Stitch anime was a bad example of original disney animation, add Pickle and peanut to that list as well.

The overwhelming majority of the Disney Animated Canon since the days of Snow White has been made of adaptations and retellings.

I can only assume that they are going with a continuity reboot and/or alternate continuity if Rapunzel has her hair back. That is assuming that they aren't going to go with some kind of asspull, which would be especially stupid, considering that the article claims the show is meant to be set between the movie and the DVD short, and I'm pretty sure Rapunzel still has brown hair in that short.

Also, OP, please throw in some kind of more elaborate description into your post before some mod decides to close the thread because of reasons. (They don't like threads that start with a link and nothing else.)

What's wrong with the plot being something like, "Some sort of problem arises that requires healing powers to solve, and so Rapunzel uses a magical plot device to temporarily regrow her hair, and it doesn't wear off until the Series Finale?"

I've got Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash, Spyro, and Paper Mario fanfics.

Probably because they want something that is more similar to the movie's timeline plot.

Okay, but the teaser shows Flynn and Maximus shocked at Rapunzel's long hair, which would seem to imply that it suddenly grew back. I seriously doubt this is an alternate continuity.

I've got Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash, Spyro, and Paper Mario fanfics.

Liking the animation style, when I heard they were making a tv series I assumed it would be in a similar 3D style as the film.

New theme music also a box
