He gets up and walks towards them, suspicious.

They're pretty odd stuff. Some kind of powder, ash, a bottle of some blue, shiny stuff, among others...

"U-umm... why do you have t-those weird-looking eyes?"

Smile... is he frowning? That's odd. They seem to be standing in a circle around a fresh grave.

"Extensive cybernetic enhancements- a side effect of the enhancements to my eyes left them looking very different than a normal human's."

He keeps approaching, one hand already moving towards his sword.

"Cybernetics...?"

Gilbert zips his backpack closed, and then opens his thick book again, before stopping at a section that discusses cyborgs in detail.

"O-oh... you're a cyborg..."

"Well, I've been augmented so much that I'm more machine than human. Would you like to see a demonstration of my abilities?"

Though he notices Nicole, he doesn't want to interrupt her phone checking.

"Ah, taken too soon..."

   B-but it wasn' our doing, was it?   

"Not for me to say."

One of the Kaibutsu notices the approaching Hakumen and becomes visibly nervous. A wee bit of blood trickles down the guy's forehead.

Gilbert turns pale, and he furiously shakes his head.

"N-no, please!"

   What's the matter ? Answer me quickly !   

"...I was just going to lift a fallen tree. Don't worry, I wasn't going to zap you."

Smile regards Hakumen coldly. "We're mourning the loss of a... a friend. Leave us be."

Gilbert relaxes a little, but he's still nervous.

"Oh..."

"So, would you like to see?"

He folds his arms then.

   Humph ! This dimension brings the dead back to life. She should've resurrect already.   

Hakumen does seems ready to go back to sitting in his spot, since the Kabutsus do not seems to be plotting something.

Gilbert, after a while, nods reluctantly, and he holds his book tightly.

He stretches, before heading over to a fallen tree- likely knocked down in a battle. He slips his fingers under it, lifting it up without too much effort, before leaning it against another, larger, tree.

"See?"

Gilbert, by then, is gawking at Genos, utterly speechless.

He smiles.

"Hm?"

A little bit of blood bubbles up out of the grave.

"It would seem that this so-called 'Arena' has a sense of mercy..."

"Alright, now's as good a time as ever to tell Glenn about the place I picked for us."

Having completed checking her phone, Nicole types up a text for Glenn regarding the house she found for them in the Skaal Village, then sends it.

"That... that's super strength, right?"

After a while, Nicole will get a reply.

Oh? We have a place to stay in? That's good to hear!

"Well, technically, yes- but this is quite normal for me."

Nicole smiles upon reading Glenn's reply, then texts the following response.

"Yep. If you want, I could head on over there to meet you."
