As for Kimairan, with Giga Impact blocked its negative effect did not activate... so it quickly tries to go for another one, hoping that it's fast enough to get DNP!Mewtwo regardless.

James just keeps muttering to himself as he tries to find it.

"Third one before the last.", Rotomdex suddenly speaks up with a 'I'm so done with you people' tone of voice. The Trio stares at it for a moment before James flips to the specified one.

Lo and behold, it's indeed Focus Energy.

"Ya sure about givin' up a TM we got from HQ, Jimmy?"

"He's protecting us right now, I think it's the least we can do.", James says before offering Red the TM.

I asked Nebby to roll 1d6 and he rolled a nat 6 so HAHAHA THE DOUBLE PROTECT BABEY

Also the other two twos are gettin scrungly in the sand. Ditto teleports up just a bit before thrusting down with a knee attack.

Red snatches the TM, looking apologetic but we gotta go FAST.

At almost the same moment, Red tosses the TM like a frisbee, while Mewtwo teleports right into its path.

Cue Mewtwo responding with a teleport of its own to avoid the Knee, appearing above Ditto and attempting to perform a spinning tail bash against Ditto's neck. Its attack movement is starting to look noticeably slower than at the start though.

As for Kimairan, it's starting to look annoyed.

"Is hiding behind barriers all you can do?", it roars before it gives chase, aiming to go for an Ice Fang against DNP!Mewtwo.

The spinning tail bash hits, knocking Ditto into the ground. It seems stunned.

There was a quip developing in Mewtwo's mind, but being confronted by Kimairan rushing it, it gives into its savage instincts and roars before rushing in...
Only to be forced to a stop by a suddenly interfering MissingNo. popping in between the two.

Upon realizing what DNP!Mewtwo is doing, it suddenly starts flapping its wings harshly (note that his wings have not actually moved once so far, its flying has been more akin to gliding) to try to blow Missingno. back down with winds even more powerful than Hurricane.

Since this isn't an attack, it should create a loophole in how Glitch Shield reacts to this and let it through.

As for Mewtwo, he just starts launching a flurry of Shadow Balls at Ditto, aiming to take him the fuck out at last.

yes i suppose using whirlwind wouldn't cause any damage that could be reflected. In any case, MissingNo. ends up pancaked by the strong winds.

ditto KOs. Goodbye Ditto. Albeit, its boosts actually allow it to struggle back for a second before succumbing - avoiding a couple Shadow Balls, tanking another few.

Kimairan gets chin-kicked and it seems to be a critical hit because holy shit the speed at which Kimairan hits the sand is insane.

Also, it's not immediately getting back up.

The Trio lets out a cheer... but then Mewtwo teleports in front of DNP!Mewtwo and tries to make it eat a Shadow Ball right to the face.

it eats a shadow ball right to the face, spluttering as the necrotic energy splashes from the point of impact and stumbling back.

Unfortunately for other Mewtwo, MissingNo. is. ... Still literally right there. ... It attacks.

It just kind of tries to. Blobbily engulf Mewtwo. And primes the Glitch Shield effect to protect itself.

Mewtwo gets engulfed, but he doesn't seem to be all that worried about this. When the sleeping Pikachu is sent back out, Mewtwo (while still trapped) tries to grab it in a psychic hold and yeet it into the Glitch Shield to make it take damage.

Okay well Pikachu ends up in the middle of a psychic struggle, because immediately before it can get slammed into the Glitch Shield, DNPtwo yanks it away with its own psychokinetic power.

Red uses his newly freed-up ball to try and catch the seemingly-downed Kimairan. Yeet!

Well, Rapid Spin doesn't really do much damage, but it sure as hell makes Mewtwo dizzy, enough so that it loses the concentration it needs to use its psychic powers for a bit.

As for Kimairan, when the ball gets to it-

It suddenly rushes up from the ground, viciously sinking its fangs into the incoming Poke Ball to shatter it instantly. Before Red or the Trio can even realize what's happening, Kimairan tries to pounce on Red and trap him underneath its claw, eyes glowing ominously.

Since Mewtwo is dizzy, there's not a thing he can do about this.

Angelo, Jessica, Yangus, and Red all emerge into the arena.

Yangus: "COR! Where's the guv? 'e was wiv us earlier and now 'e's gone!"

Jessica: "It's strange, I don't remember this forest from any of our travels."

Angelo: "Yeah, there probably is if you know what I mean. But, now we have to figure out what's going on here."

Beach time

Sarah stares at Reiss, baffled and admittedly a little bit insulted. But she get it though. He means well, even if she finds it a bit condescending. But also, if she goes first and win, she wouldn't feel satisfied. And if she goes first and lose the race, her pride would be quashed for sure.

So she decides to just stare at him in silence, pondering on her options, before flicking her index forward while giving him the side-eye. She does it... a bunch, yeah, but eventually once he gets going so does she, attempting to use her top speed from the get-go just because she's more annoyed than she'd like to admit.

At this point, only her presence on the environment can be felt, sand raising up along with water as she start to make a dash for it. She controls her speed though, she doesn't want to disrupt the beach time.

Ah, hello! I do not need a discord server link. As for characters to start interactions with... I'm not sure, a female character that is somewhat beautiful would be fine to be spawned in I guess.

Jessica: This world's so strange, I don't even think anyone will be here.

Red's gambit has played out to perfection. Either the Poké Ball would hit, providing evidence that Kimairan is truly down and out, or... the threat of being caught would provoke a strong reaction and pre-cancel any planned Wounded Gazelle Gambit.

Unfortunately, he didn't account for Kimairan moving literally faster than he could react.

Fortunately, Mewtwo :D. Pikachu drops like a sack as it redirects its efforts, but it manages to suddenly jerk Red away with a psychokinetic pull - albeit not without banging him up a bit, leaving Red listless for a moment from the shock of the sudden forceful movement.

It seems... a little confused.

Alright. I've got a suitable character but I'll get this out first since I might be too busy for its actual scheduling time!

   ... sigh. You're really letting everybody else in now, aren't you?

The newcomer probably will wish to quickly join up with the group before the peak of Garolympus can close, she'll have time (and probably has the speed) to do so. Assuming she does, then she slash at the crack, which, with the help of Merlin and Yammers, on top of Palkidan being there, is being widened into an agreeable shape. Actually large enough to let Palkidan and Optimus through. Both of whom are getting solid assists from their allies, like Nicole, Cardboard/Sawdust or the Einherjars.

The Giant Goorons are relentless though. They might not be able to hurt Optimus or Palkidan appreciably but they can just slip past them they imagine. Which is harder with the little ones putting up such a fight as well. Before soon, a big crack is opened thanks to their combined efforts, as the group literally punch their way down another floor. Seeing this, Prime doesn't have much choice but to go last this time though, since he's still having to fend off the Goorons...

Until Subaru arrives, completing everyone's efforts with her suitably dramatic landing, shattering the floor and stunning the giant and smaller Goorons alike. Now unable to follow the group, everyone can and will (if they can't fly) be able to dive in into the next level quickly. Not that the Goorons don't give chase, but they can only do so after the last of the rescuers jump down.

Although they're probably going to be missing these big fellas now. Because the next area is a doozy.

The good thing is that there's no immediate platform. It's a straight way down to the bottom of the mountain, all the way to the core. So once they make it to the end, they'll be a lot closer to Garon then they were before. The bad thing is that it's a huge freefall area where the rescuers are going to be left stranded in the air, especially since their fliers are busy up-top.

The actual area has the shape of a distorded human torso, eerily enough. It's big and wide at first, with the walls being outright distant, but they get closer the further down they fall towards the platform, starting from "miles apart" to being close enough that the group's biggest members will have trouble fitting through. The last portion of the fall is an outright bottleneck.

The worse thing is that Garon, while he didn't plan on that, is still smart enough to improvise. Having deduced that mooks aren't going to cut it, the Corpse King's next gambit is to simply use his limited controls over his titanic innards to carve the group up into mush. Everywhere around the group, on the massive walls all around them, massive spikes similar to the ones Garon used on his body's surface sprout. And, worriyingly, the bottleneck section at the end grows spikes as well, which are definitely big enough to shred everyone who'd go through the place, from the biggest team members to the smallest, like Subaru or Yammers.

It gives the impression of going through a circular toothy maw, full of sharp teeth to tear anyone apart. And one could be forgiven for thinking the dried mud will likewise sprout spikes but Garon's so weakened that he can't do that on "solid" mud. And if he could, he would simply block off the entrance to that platform entirely and leave the group to die or futilely try to get through in time. But the damage to his soul has been so relentless that Garon's ability to shape his body is now limited, for the time being.

So, those spikes are pretty much all he can do. And because he's seen the group successfully carve their way through his peak -and also because he was pushed into taking that form to start with-, Garon decides to put them to good use instead of using them for set decoration. He can't bet everything on a spiky maw working out and all.

Optimus?

Right! Optimus take his truck form mid-air, along with the trailer. Notably, though, he doesn't fully transform yet. If people can't move by themselves, he'll keep his arms out so that he can grab them (as gently as he can in the current situation) and put them in his trailer, which had the roof open to that effect. That way, should the spikes hit, Optimus's body will be between them and his allies.

But this is a bit of a risky solution. Optimus's beams can't destroy these spikes of solidified mud, we'll still need to find a way to destroy the ones between the platform and us! Optimus isn't one to not try though. And he sprout some guns from his grills to shoot at the spikes in front of them. But they simply bounce off, being magically unable to harm his body.

This will force the strongest or most proficient/well-equipped units out to try to breach the spikes. If they camp in Optimus's trailer, then they can't do that. And if they do come out, they'll be vulnerable to the spikes coming after them like actual bullets. To make matters worse, the giant Goorons from above use their gooey bodies to slip through the cracks, coming after the group from above, not at all worried about the spikes.

   I'll do it.    I'll do it.

Corrin glances to the side as Beruka charges through at the spikes, clutching her Master Axe. She doesn't know how, but she's seen how people with glowing weapons like these could destroy the mud instead of scattering it. So if she can hit the spikes hard enough, surely she could try, right? She was a flyer with an ideal weapon at hand. It'd be dumb and cowardly to just hide and let someone else do things.

   Don't! You'll get hit by the spikes for sure! Even you can't dodge them all!   

Yes. But so long as I get hit after completing the mission, it won't matter. My life doesn't matter in the face of what's at stake. And off she goes. Corrin groans and, clad in his dragon form, goes right after her, although he also mean to blow the spikes off with his water breath... possibly.

He kind of forget that in the heat of the moment though, because Beruka is in danger.

Before Corrin can try to finish his sentence, and right as the other folks take their decision, Garon decides he's had enough.

All the spikes go off, flying off in absolutely every direction at once, absolutely huge sharp chunks of solidified mud are in the air now. And though Optimus's alien metal is able to fend these off, no one outside the trailer is safe.

Absolutely no one.

Beach

That awkward tension prior to the beginning of the run made Reiss partly aware of himself and probably put him at a severe disadvantage — considering the mental block — and embarrassment on his end. Not having focus on the first few moments is vital to something like this as he's swiftly overtaken by Sarah! Worse yet she's seemingly exiting the horizon line for him!

Not to be put to shame, as he runs he starts mumbling — and it sounds incoherent — but the effect gives him a bluish aura, the spell he cast lets wind go through him to not cause havoc via potential shockwaves from catching up to Sarah by rapidly ramping up his speed.

The wolf responds well! Although it looks more with confusion with the knight as it reluctantly takes the meat from his hands and begins to sit down and have a munch. The adventurer catches up after a quick minute of running through the lands. Before he could say something to his pet his attention's caught by the "injured" knight he's spotted. The man distinctly had a darkish green hair with matching green eyes.

"Are you okay?! Has my familiar harmed you?"

Hub Centralis

"P-Please I'm more than grateful for you sticking around this long and hiding me here in the meantime, I think I'll just get a pint... Rum. It's not like alcohol can phase me these days" William's reluctant to answer directly to Piovre about his request so he pulls out a gold coin from seemingly nowhere and puts it on the table.

Kimairan ends up stopping just short of hitting Team Rocket instead, causing the three serious and understandable fright. It turns its head, not caring one bit about them as its focus is completely on Red.

With Red momentarily out of it, Kimairan attempts to just leap over Tauros entirely to get to him... only for him to hit a barrier again and end up in front of Tauros instead. Kimairan glances to the side to see that it was the still somewhat dizzy Mewtwo who did that, despite him still being trapped in Missingno.

"You are trying my patience."

Kimairan narrows its eyes.

"You may not be showing it, but I can tell you are exhausted. Otherwise you would have escaped already. So you cannot stop me from doing what must be done."

Mewtwo seems to grow angrier, but noticeably does not have a comeback. It seems like Red's Pokemon have indeed done much more damage to him than he let on.

"As for me, I have tied against his entire team before. A team that was already weakened by your efforts and those three behind me."

Mewtwo's eyes widen a bit as he realizes Kimairan was here all along, watching Red's Pikachu, Mega Charizard X and Mewtwo take damage before jumping in.

"I'm shamed that I have to resort to such cowardly tactics. But as I said, I will do anything for the sake of justice. Red, you will die, as will the other interlopers. And then, with His ambitions unchallenged, my friend will live again."

Letting out a vicious roar, Kimairan starts kicking up an Earthquake, aiming to both hit Tauros as well as take out Victreebel to prevent any future Wrap shenanigans. Regardless of how Tauros takes it, Victreebel's given enough damage to faint. Now without any Pokemon to defend them, Team Rocket shiver in fear as James recalls Victreebel.

Although... they do still have one Pokemon that hasn't outright fainted yet, something Jessie realizes. She whispers something to James before they start to use the Super Potions Red gave them earlier to heal this specific mon.

This is the part where it hurts

"We got through, let's go.", Merlin says before going into the hole. Morgan, Ban, Einherjar M!Corrin and Einherjar Oboro follow swiftly. Merlin uses her magic to try to soften the landing for everyone after noticing how far down they're going. The last thing she wants right now is for her allies to just flat-out die upon hitting the ground.

... which she then immediately has to stop doing when Garolympus' disturbing inner anatomy tries to slash them to bits, forced to switch to barriers to protect herself.

Morgan tries casting Arcwind around himself, aiming to slash up the spikes that come near him. Ban can technically tank them, but that doesn't mean he's just gonna do so. He'll need energy, and he already used up his Stamina Drink earlier. So he punches at any spikes that appear. Einherjar M!Corrin and Oboro stick back to back while falling, aiming to defend one side each with Yato and her naginata.

"We have a problem down below.", Merlin calls out to draw attention to the bottleneck passage issue. Thankfully that's when Optimus catches up to them, and Morgan and the two Einherjar choose to go into the trailer for safety.

"Fire Storm."

Merlin stays outside and launches magic flames downwards, aiming to melt through the spikes in the bottleneck section. Regardless of how effective it is though, Ban positions himself to dive a little faster and tries to punch through the spikes... which will have the effect of parts of his body being cut up in the process too.

However, when Garolympus shoots out said spikes right after, Ban gets utterly shredded. Yeah, he's immortal, but that doesn't make this any less gory. Plus, now he'll need a while to regenerate.

As for Merlin, she attempts to cast a spell known as Perfect Cube, which would encase her and any allies near her into a protective, nigh-unbreakable cube that reflects attacks. The problem? The spikes come at everyone faster than she can say the incantation. As a result, she gets struck by some of the spikes, winces in pain at the deep wounds and has no choice but to teleport past the attack.

Hopefully their allies outside of Optimus have a way of defending themselves against this, because Merlin cannot help them this time.

Revering back to normal, Nicole narrowly manages to dive back into Optimus' trailer in time to avoid being skewered by the oncoming spikes. Thinking fast, she uses Dragon Vein to create enormous chunks of ice to act as shields against any spikes that might manage to penetrate the trailer's exterior.

Holy moly, is that a floating Eve? She appears to be indeed sealing off some small peeble looking thing into a literal ring of fire -or rather multiple of them-, looking careful as she performs the rather risky procedure. The increased heat aside, she's condensing those enormous arcs of fire into much smaller, but still very lethal, flames.

She doesn't notice the party tho. Because she busy!

(At this point, the party notices Eve slinging fire magic.. or at least they think she's slinging magic.)

Angelo: Hm. Quite a nice looking woman casting magic.

Red: Cor, it looks like we found a bloke.

Jessica: She appears to be practicing her sorcery, but, it looks like she's busy with something.

Nohr Rescue Mission (The Final Stretch)

As soon as Subaru broke one additional floor, Palkia-Jeridan immediately dove down and flew after Optimus and the crew. The taken-over honorary agent accelerated as he brandished his claws, ripping and tearing through the spikes to clear a way for his allies to reach Garon's core, not even minding Merlin's Fire Storm spell grazing his body thanks to that sweet, sweet 1/4 fire resistance.

As the spikes flew towards Jeridan's allies outside the van, the young man immediately raced towards Corrin and Beruka, using his significantly bigger bulk and durability to protect the two by shrouding them with his own body. The honorary agent snarled as he brandished one claw, launching a barrage of space-rending slashes (that are essentially much smaller versions of the large attack he used to open Garolympus) all around his allies to destroy some of the spikes, but he wouldn't be fast enough to destroy all of them.

Palkidan silently endured the pain of spikes slamming into his body, reaching to pluck out some that made it past his armor and lodged into his skin. "Let me escort you down, Prince Corrin. It's essential that you get down and destroy the core." Should Corrin agree, Palkidan would hold him and fly down until the tunnel is so narrow that his body can't fit. "What do I do with Beruka?"
