Vs. Arsenal Bird

As the drones moved away, leaving them in safety for the moment, Jill turned and looked at 3-13 to see him clenching his fist.

"... Have they adapted to my shot patterns? Or am I beginning to slip..."

Jill's face held an expression of concern. She'd definitely have to get out him out of this funk, if they were going to continue to contribute to this battle.

"If it's the former, then you simply need to change it up, no? And as for the later... everyone has their off days. Even crack shot archers with a backstory more mysterious than the plot of this novel I've been reading."

She took a moment to survey all around.

"But in any case, there's none in our area at the moment, and the others seem to have it well enough in hand."

3-13 finally seemed to process her words, and she earned a laugh from him- he didn't look toward her but she thought he was probably smiling too.

"Heh. I suppose you're used to dealing with moments of doubt like this, with the Exarch and all. Anyways..."

He pointed upwards.

"Take Arvez up higher. Better vantage point, and the new angle of attack should potentially help my shots hit any that come into my range."

Jill nodded and went right to it, directing her wyvern higher up into the sky.

"Um..."

Pyra pauses.

"I don't... know any of those places. But it sounds like... a lot has happened to you. And... the world. I hope that nothing like that happens to mine again."

She realizes she's slipped up an instant later, but does not react visibly.

The Nergigante snarled, taking advantage of Marth’s moment of weakness.

It raised up onto its hind legs, a single paw raised in the air, as the the paw began crackling with electricity. The Elder Dragon brought its hand down on the Prince, an explosion of sheer electric energy happening as a result, as well as spikes flying off of its hand. Though Marth likely may not be put out of commission if this attack connected, it’d sure as hell hurt.

The first two piles of bones stand no chance, being ground into powder.

Unfortunately for the two doing the work, though, there were more than two piles here…

Bones nearby began shaking violently, amassing together, as old weapons raised from the ground, the dirt and rust that was on them prior shaking off. Before long, the party was faced with a challenge: three skeletons, two with small iron shields and scimitars, and one, somewhat taller, with two, large falchions, one in either hand. The skeletons leapt forwards, two of the ones wielding scimitars leaping towards Mark and the Ashen One, one each. The one dual-wielding falchions, though, swung them wildly at the inactive thus far trio.

Dark Souls

The trio shrieked when the skeletons rose from the ground... But then, they joined their hands and let out their war cry:

PICA-POWER!

After their cry, their clothes changed, taking their "superheroic" identities, and unlocking their Arena hidden powers!

Belén and Nacho slide on the ground, trying to avoid the falchions and sweep the skeleton's legs at the same time. If succesful, Emi will uppercut it at its fall!

Well it occurred almost two centuries before I was a screaming little baby in a crib so... well it sucks, but my life experience thus far hasn't been any different from folks in the Old World. There's people out there who would have a lot of different things to say about it though! But I'm yet unfamilliar with the stuff outside. Besides what they show on T Vs. Like... the Brotherhood of Steel or the Enclave, but those guys are gone.

Max pick up on the "again", and contemplate asking Pyra about it before deciding not to have the conversation revolves around death and destruction.

Weiss's friend was nice, but I'm surprised that Weiss is that... enraged when it comes to games. She's still cool though... ah!

The Ashen One doesn't react to the things happening around her.

Instead, she put up her shield to block the skeleton's blow and then attempts to swipe at them with her axe, about two times over. Should that fail, she rolls back and then attack again.

Vs. Arsenal Bird

   "Where is that even being generated from in that thing?"    Gallikrex asked as he dove, somewhat exasperated.    "And what happens once this thing runs out of drones?"   

He twisted in the air, briefly leaving himself in free-fall as he spun around to fire off a bolt of lightning towards the nearest drone, or, preferably, nearest several drones, as he wished to catch them in the arc and fry several at once. If he hit or not, he would then spin back around to re-enter a proper flight pattern — a dragon in free-fall prefers not to stay that way, after all.

Mark recoils the chains back towards himself, wrapping them around his arms again as he punches the schimitar to parry it and goes for another punch to the skeleton's skull. He'll immediately hop backwards and launch a hammerhead chain towards the skull if the first attack is blocked.

"Damn these stupid necromancers"

Marth vs. Nergigante

Marth is pummeled right into the ground. When the light fades and the smoke clears, he's down on his back in a literal crater.

"Ngh..."

He plants Falchion in the ground and uses it to pull himself up to his feet, shakily staring down the Nergigante. However, the Prince of Light winces as the pain of his injuries catches up to him, falling back to his knees. "I... just... can't win this..."

QUEST ABANDONED

The Nergigante growled, nearing the weakened fighter.

It reared its head back, flame building up in its mouth, prepared to unleash the killing blow, when suddenly, it stopped. The monster's head jerked to the sky, sniffing, before it spread its wings and took to the clouds, a cloud of dust appearing from the sheer force of its take-off alone.

Some distance away, it landed.

The monster was back in its den, where piles of stone from the exploded golem were strewn about the place, as well as arrows that had bounced off of the monster's hide, and a scorched corpse. The Elder Dragon cared not for any of that, though, and immediately rushed towards it's nest in the center. All was accounted for, all but one egg.

The Elder Dragon reared up, howling at the night sky, for the Hunter had gotten away, taking an egg with her. Nergigante snarled as it went back to the ground. It would take that egg back, and destroy the Huntress…no matter the cost.

CHAPTER 1; INSTANCE 1: ANNIHILATION NERGIGANTE; END

"We don't know," Ruby says to answer Gallikrex's first question. To answer the second, she says, "It'll most likely try to retreat. Or nuke everything with Helios missiles. Hopefully the former."

A few planes are rocked by Paty's Love Beams, leaving them free for Luffy, Zoro and Sanji to smash right through. -6

Maya's gunfire makes a few clean hits, but fails to completely shoot down any drones.

Gallikrex blows up -3 drones and is promptly blitzed by homing missiles from several more.

JUICE won't find anything he can just shut down, but he'll be able to trace the APS. It has some kind of remote power source transmitting radio signals that produce the forcefield... somewhere in the sea west of Onyxis. Too far away to reach from here.

The APS deploys, spreading out over a massive area as before. If Susana is well enough to make her barrier-sneak play, now's the time to do it!

The battle begins.

The skellie facing Mark stumbled backwards, the force of the punch sending a good foot. But that wouldn’t be enough to stop it. The creature raised its weapon into the air, intending to bring it down on Mark’s head.

The Ashen One’s foe blocked all three attacks, waiting for her to run out of energy from the barrage of attacks and the roll. Once she did, it would swoop in with a horizons slash from its sword, with the intent of attacking her while she was tired.

The largest skeleton fell victim to all three attacks, but quickly rose it's feet, the white eyes scanning the situation, before using its close proximity to Belén and Nacho to to swing both Falchions at them, the distance making it tough, yet possible, to dodge.

EXPOSITIONPOST

He sat by the pond, the reflection of his samurai armor bouncing off of the water and illuminated by the moonlight.

The bamboo forest around him rattled, shaken by the wind, and raindrops from the day prior still remained, clinging to the grass. His armor felt oddly heavy today, and he couldn’t quite decide if he was warm in it or cold. All this to say, his senses had recently been heightened by Jirai’s blessing. And those senses told him one thing.

Something was wrong.

Sure enough, the uneasy man heard the footprints behind him, and knew immediately who it was. "Sen." He stood, turning his head to his side, seeing the four-armed man out of the corner of his eye. The samurai clearly wanted him to know he was there. If he didn’t, he wouldn’t.

“I’ve been searching for you. Should have known I'd find you here."

"Let's just get this over with." Kenshura cut the chit-chat, drawing his weapon as he turned to face his friend fully.

"If you so wish."

Ralf gets footdived, but rolls upon hitting the ground and evades the fireball.

He jumps up and attempts a spinning mid-air dropkick!

Vs. Arsenal Bird

Susana and her allies, while eating, watches at the wagon TV how the Arsenal Bird deploys its APS.

Are you feeling OK?

Everybody nods quickly.

Fine. I'll need all of your help for this. Follow me.

From one of the monorrail doors, Susana gets out from the Junior Express, and flies quickly towards the Arsenal Bird. Loli with its riders, Tatiana and even Paty follow her.

As Susana approaches the plane, she calcules the right moment at which she can deploy her barrier.

And... NOW!

When she is at a millimeter of the APS, she activates her barrier around herself and her allies behind her. If succesful, everybody will be at the other side of the APS!

...

Meanwhile, from the Junior Express, Topa watches the action.

Alright, change of plans. Rulos, go to the stage wagon. It's time to deploy the sonic weapon.

The Rulos triplets, Roberto, Rolando and Ricardo, nicknamed that way because of the big curl in their hair, go to the stage, and begin to play their music!

In this moment, from the Junior Express two giant speakers are deployed, and tries to attack the drones with powerful sonic waves!

Dark Souls

How do you like that!?

The skeleton rose again, and Belén and Nacho imitate the Ashen One roll forward to dodge the falchions. The two got hurt by the attack, but they are at the other side, and try to topple again the skeleton with a synchronized headbutt in each leg.

Emi seizes the free gap left after the falchions swing, and he runs forward to take impulse to jump afterwards, trying to punch the skeleton chest with both hands!

Foolish skeleton... this Ashen One invested in endurance! Barely enough to get them to set up a parry, but enough for them to attempt to turn the table on the table-turning Skeleton.

Should they succeed, they then attempts to slam the axe into their left side to stun them, lean back, and s-s-s-s-slam' their axe into them.

If it doesn't work, they bleed but grunts in annoyance, and keep their weapons drawn.

Callis reaches out a hand and the Super Explosive Wave passes over her, washing around her and spraying off in various directions. She attempts to nail Oca in the back with a crushing punch while he's still in endlag.

Ain simply nods at Pietro. "It's nice to see you again... Sorry for the lack of more heartfelt greetings, I'm still not super sentimental."

"Besides, after Troa, there's nothing that could keep me held down."

Zenkichi sidles up towards Pietro and Ain. "Uh, do you guys know each other?"

"We're old friends."

Meanwhile, Inferno Cop PNG-shuffles his way over to Aokiji. "You, sir, are very large and frosty!"

Jam jumps over the attack and attempts to grab Ralf by his outstretched foot. If she gets the grab, she reels him in for an uppercut! They're going into pseudo-flight now!

Versus arsenal bird.

Flynn uses a chakra pot to restore his magical reserves, not much else he can do.

Suddenly the Geiger counter inside the tormentor, and other radiation monitoring equipment around riften, if there is any, would detect a spike, centered around apollo, as tatsuya simply says "This is Callsign Apollo, You should all scatter if you don't want fourth degree or radiation burns."

Flynn, wisely, gets the hell out of the area apollo's aiming at, whatever radiation means, burns are burns.

Tatsuya then simply says "Heat Kaiser."

Apollo, trying to take as many drones into the area of effect as possible, unleashes a mighty spell (which I unfortunately do not posess the animation for), Somehow focusing the energy of a nuclear reaction into the area the spell is aimed at, which is, to put it simply, wherever will hit as many drones as possible.

Damn, Callis just shrugged that off like it was nothing.

"blp!"

The punch knocks him off-balance, and also knocks the Kaioken off of him. He flails his arms while balancing on one foot for a comical moment, before hopping off into the air and trying to juke her out with a series of teleports ending on a meaty fire punch.

Bruh he's already in fucking SPACE. It's not much farther away relative to HIM.

"mmmmmmmm"

Radio signals, huh? He's a satellite. Let's see if he can't disrupt those with some garbage radio signals of his own.

Hub Centralis

Safety Lullaby - Instrumental

Bardock and Gine are taking a midnight stroll through the park. They move off the main walkway, onto a short desire path through a few trees.

"It's been nice here, hasn't it...?" she asks. "I mean... obviously, I miss Kakarot and Raditz. A lot. But we know things turn out fine for them. So our time here... nothing really hanging over our heads... well, it's been nice, you know?"

She leans against him as they continue walking, under a weeping willow and onto an asphaltic black section of walkway.

"Mhm. Fights are good here."

She punches him lightly in the arm, smirking. "Jackass."

And then, the 'asphalt' floor around them tenses up, before suddenly rising up and snapping shut on them, faster than the eye can see. Trapping them in a pillar of goop. There's a flicker of golden light from that can be seen from within the black mass, but it twists and turns and compressed, and it's soon enough snuffed out.

   "... Delicious..."   

Pietro shows Ain a good-natured smirk.

"Right, you're probably saving those for someone you're a little closer to. Don't worry, I wasn't expecting you to get all teary-eyed and hug me tightly enough to leave bruises. Heh, I would've known something was off if you did."

He raises an eyebrow at Zenkichi.

"Yeah, what she said, samurai guy."

Sitting down at the cafe's bar, he glances back at Ain and motions for her to sit beside him.

"So... no doubt you've probably got a million questions. Like 'who the hell's Polyphemus?', or 'How's everything going with the Assassins?', or 'what's everyone been up to?' Lucky for you, I'd be happy to answer them all over some coffee," he says.

Vs. Arsenal Birb

Jill and 3-13 also didn't know what radiation was referring to, but they knew the meaning of burns clear enough, and any seasoned warrior tended to have the instinct to tell when a big 'ole attack was being called. And so one was. The area they were in was already out of the blast zone, so they simply waited. If any of the active drones decided to/manged to escape the blast by moving their direction, they would be met with a rapid-fire volley of several explosive arrows as soon as they would come into range- 3-13 had decided to trade some quality of his shots for quantity. For an archer of his caliber, this probably wasn't a significant hit to accuracy.

"That looks like my type!"

Mark hop steps backwards and uncoils a bit of the chain on his right, launching it beside the sword to steal it from the skeleton as soon as it recoils backwards. If successful he'd assault the skeleton with a flurry of slashes till the sword breaks. If this doesn't work then he blocks with his left chain arm but fails to consider the tiny gaps that would easily let the skeleton hit the flesh and bones of his arm.

The skeleton was shattered by the effects of the riposte from the Ashen One, her parry successful.

Mark managed to steal the boner’s weapon, but the skeleton soon charged forwards, shield in hand, and the dead man’s sword, old and rusted, broke almost immediately against the steel shield, as the skeleton attempted a shield bash.

Finally, the trio’s attacks had, once against, made contact with the skeleton. This time, though, it didn’t fall backwards. Instead, it glared down at Emi, deciding it would have to take this one out first. It raised both swords, and went for a double overhead swing at the man.

You're a skeleton. Aokiji points back, looking nonplussed with it.

When Oca starts bwipping all over the place, Callis holds still and crosses her arms, getting a read for his presence. Just as he slows down for the punch, she Z-Vanishes out of the way.

"The Assassins," Ain says sharply. "What have they been doing?"

"Yes! I don't have the budget to move any more smoothly!" Inferno Cop bluntly informs Aokiji.

Pouring himself and Ain fresh cups of coffee, Pietro slides one of the mugs over to her.

"There's been a lot going on with the Assassins lately, some of it good and some of it... not so great. I'd get comfortable if I were you."

He proceeds to tell her everything that's happened with the Assassins since the last time she was in the Arena, sparing no detail.

... Yeah. Aokiji answers Inferno Cop, not getting him at all but lacking the patience to question the nonsense occuring in front of him.

It must feels nice though. I'd like to slide on the floor like you do. It's less effort, bah.
