megaman does a fucking Kamehameha pose to launch a b-ball at Mega Man's head.

Hearing the distinct sound as the scissors slice through the air, Mega Man whips around and reflects the projectiles with Skull Barrier.

He then notices megaman, looks at Cutsman, and puts the pieces together◊. "Oh dear lord, you made a friend. An equally abominable friend."

"Cutsman's the name, cutting's my game. And I don't mean hair!", Cutsman says, with it probably becoming apparent to megaman that this sentence is his way of introducing himself to everyone he attacks.

Cue him making scissor signs with his hands again as his scissors return to his head.

"Say, Mega Man, you don't sound as nasally as I remember. Guess you cut your smoking habits, uhuahahaha!"

The Deadly Cutsman... for real this time!

megaman sort of slides across the battlefield towards Mega Man like someone dragged an image across an open MS Paint file. He then uses Smack.

Set's Lair

Defense falls out of Full Force Breaker, looking up and looking up at the Heaven Concealed...

Oh wait.

He rushes in, activating Mind's Denial, and while he can push against it for a good while, his fatigue wins out and he gets enveloped all the same...

Travelers Tower Infirmary

"Serves him right, fighting the Maelstrom."

"Shut up lad, he's coming in!"

Defense, battered and beaten, is warped in last-minute by the Travelers, all thanks to the opening left when Set came in.

Defense: "Aww, fuck... gimme a line with whoever the hell's leading this little ragtag fighting force against Set. I need a word."

Anderson and Jae Hoon nod, quickly moving out and letting the nurses take over.

Hub Centralis

The Devourer was sprawled out on the sofa when they arrived, but immediately perked up and teleported to her feet when called on.    "Don't mind if I do, kid."    She quipped, grabbing the pizza case before teleporting back onto the sofa.    "So, good news?"   

It doesn't work. Nothing work. Whoever leave will need some crazy amount of speed if they want to leave, because the explosion is enormous, blowing apart a large chunk of Whiterun, sending a large shockwave through the Arena in general and casting an enormous mushroom cloud over it.

There's nothing left but a crater, with bolts of lightning regularly striking the spots that are already covered by huge fires, and Set's lair has been seemingly destroyed. There's nothing left, besides the spot where the Cabal stands, and the ginormous Pyramid, now exposed to the rising sun, behind it.

Well, I do reckon they're all dead! Good work everyone! Dibs on paying for the pizza. Eleven moves to high five the Cabal, with only Giratina and Esidesi replying positively, though Shigaraki throws her a "what the hell are you thinking" look.

And I guess... The sound of something breaking through the sound barrier is heard, and a cone of air appears around the shape of Set as he speeds forth, crashing into the ground in front of everyone gathered. He immediately rise, and clench his fists briefly before looking around. Somehow, the lightning and the fire grows more and more violent when his gaze set on them.

Welcome, Lord Set! As you can see, we turned down some confusted pranksters before your arrival. Esidesi tense up when Set look at him, but then the God of Evil simply look away.

   Excelllllleeennnttttt...    He raise his hand, and the Pyramid make an intimidating Drone of Dread before ripping itself out of the ground, raising in the air while the energy around it buzzes. After about five seconds of build-up, a deep bass sound resonate in the air, as its very tip fire a beam of red light at the sky, punching what appears to be a hole within it.

The drones granted to Set by Narktus appear, though equipped with some black sand. They use their interdimensional abilities to dive in and out of the dimension, creating multiple smaller holes. Red energy shoot out of the holes, adding to the tip of the Pyramid, and Set slowly make his way to its top.

   Foolish children of the light... Mortals and mere demigods born in the gutter of the universe. Have your easy victories made you overconfident? Were you thinking this would be a fight won through determination or willpower? You are but slaves of the status quo. Content to stay trapped in it and expecting things to go well. You are pitifully weak and unwilling to improve your conditions. You are bound in the chains of this world...    Set begins to ascend to the top of the pyramid, taking determined strides. He starts to glow and grow in size as he ascends nearer and nearer, and raise his hand.

The red lightning now converge unto him, and the arena gains a red-blood sky briefly as Set ascends in the air, his eyes glowing as he gains an echo to his voice.    I will break the chains of reality, and undo its tepid eternity. And your worlds have accepted to sacrifice themselves to me for that task.   

Set forms a large red energy ball in his hand, about twice the size of the pyramid, and hold it above his head. The Cabal gathers at the bottom of it.

   Spend the coming months knowing that doom await, you pitiful worms. And bemoan the days of the Cyber Angels.   

Set raise his hand, and the energy ball scatter into energy, striking the ground near the Cabal. Curiously though, it also strikes Madara, Giratina and Shigaraki!

As the phenomenon occur, Set floats, arms folded, observing the processus. The Pyramid continue to attack everyone's ears with its droning sound.

Meanwhile, Madara's skin grows healthy and his face become overjoyed when he feels blood rushing back into his veins. Shigaraki grows a wide, unsettling stare and take an hand off his face before crushing it. Giratina's body is repaired and he howls to the stars, boasting new power...

And, out of the mud, two forms rises near an overjoyed Eleven, taking the form of past overlords from another universe.

The remaining ball of energy vanishes, and so does the Pyramid, vanishing through a teleportation effect. The holes vanishes, as well, but Set himself remains in the air, glowing anew with power.

Thouzer doesn't so much as budge from Nicole's punch, but he's done enough. He has no interest in finishing Callis directly.

Callis simply stares up at the sky, unmoving in acceptance of her fate. "... Why do I even bother."

FINISH...

FAILED...

Defense Federation Base, Intrigue

Callis suddenly jolts out of a bed, having respawned at the last location she slept.

She immediately spews profanity that shall not be put to text before flopping onto her back. "Huuuuuughhhhh..."

She turns over, muffling her face with a pillow. "If I get picked up to fight some bad guy again and the person who came looking doesn't have a solid plan, I'm just gonna punch them and flip them off. In that order."

Hub Centralis, Noodle House

Min Min materializes on a stool she set up for her breaks. "... At least that Shigaraki guy didn't do it." She quickly gets back to business as usual.

the middle of nowhere

Hit suddenly appears. "This stain on my record will not go uncleaned." He vanishes immediately after that.

Mega Man sighs and weaves out of the smack. "That was just a glitch caused when Dr. Light repaired me after a bad night. Same with the 'mega-' stuff. And for the record, I liked Cut Man and Guts Man a lot better."

He materializes a Rolling Cutter in his hand, seemingly preparing to wield it like a melee weapon. "Let's just cut to the chase."

Mega Man 2 Medley

Hotel in Hub Centralis

Rhea◊ suddenly appears with Kai Kai. "OH MY ME MILES WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING THIS WHOLE TIME AND... WHY..."

She slowly turns to look at the Devourer, a flat look on her face. "why are you hanging out with her"

Space Fortress Gravitas

"That... motherfucker." Narktus huffs. "Not only did he make them all look like fools... how long ago was that deal?"

A guard, in fact the same one who got teased by Mara, runs up to him. "Security breach, sir!"

"He's attacking?!"

"Er... not quite. You may want to just follow me to the brig, sir."

Narktus rushes to the fortress's prison cells, where he sees... Katre and Troa.

   "Oh what the fuck."

He nodded toward Syana,

   "Thank you, it'd probably be best to not go too far. The last thing we need is to be separated for long."   

Wrustoiz turned his attention back to the lizard guard, his voice reflecting the grin on his face beneath his mask

   "Now, where were we? You're just dripping with fear, I can smell it on you. Now, surely you aren't so incompetent as to serve blindly. Speak, and don't stop until you've said everything."   

The saber inched closer, although strangely enough, the lightsaber itself didn't seem hot at all as it came closer to his face.

   "And I mean, everything."   

His sinister tone was sure to un-nerve the guard further.

The Darth moved his saber to block the tonfa, the force of the blow sliding him backward. Iraaxos seized his arm, the dark lord mildly curious about the arcane symbols. He doesn't retaliate, instead opting to watch his opposition as the arm repaired. Beneath his mask, he carried a slightly sadistic grin.

He thought to himself for a moment, contemplating how to beat his opponent. The Darth paced back and forth, moving left to right. He lowered his saber to his side, the red blade letting out its deep hum.

   "Gen'Dai."   

He muttered to himself

As the others grabbed themselves some drinks, Miles made himself comfortable in another chair,"Well, the good news is...actually, most of it is good news now that I think about it. Anyways, we called up Providence and managed to talk to her without getting into a fight. She was...well, she didn't seem too fond of our presence but she didn't try to drive us away either,"

He shrugged,"I guess it helps that we promised to keep you off her back for the foreseeable future though she doesn't know yet that you're with us. So yeah, she agreed to help us one condition: If we passed her Trial By Fire,"

At this, everyone present shuddered from the memory,"It uh...well...the less said about it, the better." Nebula downed some of her peach juice.

"Long story short, we passed and so she agreed to lend us the aid of her Guardians. Also, they're gonna drop us off the Uelibloom later tonight on one of the rooftops around here so might be wise if you stay in." Miles finished explaining.

At seeing the flash of light, Miles waved to the new arrivals,"Hey there, Miss Rhea. Long time no see," He suddenly stopped at the rather dangerous tone she took towards the Devourer,"Um...I'm going to assume you two have a history together."

Much to his shock, Thor is blown upwards as Iris goes back for her necklace.

"Iris, what the Hel are you doing?!"

He prepares to fly after her as quickly as he possibly can, but the explosion goes off before he can act, and he's sent crashing to the ground by the ensuing shockwave. Letting out a pained grunt, he begins hauling himself to his feet, leaning against Stormbringer for support.

"No... Iris..."

Pietro, once he was absolutely certain that they were in the clear, drops out of his Chaos Form and collapses to the ground.

"And I thought Thanos kicked our asses... you alright, Hisoka?"

Nicole reverts back to normal, takes a moment to catch her breath, then furiously kicks the ground.

"Friggin' Katre and Troa! Leave it to the moron and the spoiled little princess to screw us over!"

megaman decides to get in on the puns.

Well, he tried. megaman jumps and uses a downwards b-ball slash.

Hisoka, once on his own two feet (as wobbly as his stance is), starts forming Bungee Gum, intending on putting it on his wounds.

   "Well, I'm near-death. So I've had it worse."   

He chuckles weakly.

   "It looks like Katre and Troa led us into a trap... or so I'd say, but if they did, why weren't they fighting us? From what I could gather, they love fighting."   

He's talking about it specifically to get Nicole's attention (though he's still also saying it to Pietro), and if he gets it, he follows up with this.

   "My guess is that they were found out by their allies, got captured, and the Cabal's been preparing ever since. We likely lost before we even began."   

Well, RIP to the Darklings, they both get engulfed and annihilated as the explosion rages through Whiterun. Iris, her aura still up, gets engulfed as well.

Afterwards, there seems to be nothing left.

... although, after a while, as the sand in the crater starts to blow away due to the wind, something seems to be shining.

A big, pink crystal imbued in a golden aura then emerges as it floats off of the ground, going higher up, with Iris seemingly inside of it. It's not fully clear to see through the crystal, but those who know her, like Thor, should be able to tell that it's her.

If Set and the Cabal see it, they'll find that there's no point in attacking it. The crystal's form seems to warp before suddenly vanishing before any of them can do anything.

A good bit away from Whiterun, Alt.Demo's chains emerge from beneath the ground, falling open to reveal his core hidden within. As he's now in hiding, his body starts to reform around his core.

   "Ugh... and here I thought I could help out a little as thanks to that little robot kid for helping me out. What kind of insane bloodbath did I end up arriving in though?"   , he mutters to himself after his face has mostly reformed.

   "Next time I'm giving whoever they're up against a look before I enter the fray. I'm never risking my life like this again, fuck that."   

Once fully reformed, he walks off, hands in his pocket.

"Oh, right. Sorry.", he says to megaman, not wanting to give the other robot... person... thing...? a reason to call off their deal.

He then glares at Mega Man.

"Stealing my puns, are you? I'll have to cut your joyous little parade short, because I don't quite like the shear enjoyment you're getting from it."

Mega Man may be planning on using Rolling Cutter in melee, but Cutsman sticks to what he knows best and launches his scissors at him again. This time, however, it starts to hover around Mega Man wildly before eventually trying to strike him in his back.

Mega Man sighs. "Is there not enough room for more Mega Men? Like, I can come up with at least four other versions of me off the top of my head who aren't pissy about sharing the name."

He gets cut, but promptly rushes forward and attempts to drive the tips of his Rolling Cutter into Cutsman's eyes, then materialize another one and slash megaman across the gut with it.

The guard will notice that Set is standing right behind Narktus, glaring daggers at the back of his skull. However, even if he doesn't point it out, Set does when he grunts, and create intense pressure by just standing there.

   Do as you wish. I do not discard my own trash.   

He walk away and plainly vanishes, without so much as a slight sound.

...

The Cabal leaves, and the arena's left to regenerate everything.

Mega Man's words appear to literally miss megaman.

"give me back my social security number i know youre the one who took it"

The sudden cut causes him to stagger (and bleed a little bit through his jumpsuit), but he tries to hit back with a one-two pair of smacks.

Cutsman gets poked in the eyes by Rolling Cutter and he stumbles back.

"GUAAAH!"

Luckily for him, Rolling Cutter isn't a strong enough attack to actually destroy his eyes, and after Mega Man attacks megaman, Cutsman recalls his scissors, then tries to grab Mega Man by the back of his neck, lift him up (which may make it easier for megaman's smacks to hit Mega Man too), then smash him into the ground.

"Mind if I cut in?"

Once he's managed to get back up, Thor begins trudging towards the site of the explosion, dragging his axe behind him.

"She can't be dead... she had to have survived somehow..."

"In other words... it was just like Thanos all over again. We lost the moment we stepped onto the battlefield," Pietro says, letting out a sigh. "So, besides resting up, what the hell do we do now? I take it you're still down to help us fight the Cabal?"

Nicole takes a deep breath to calm herself, which thankfully allows Hisoka's words to sink in.

"Yeah... you've probably got a point there. Anyway, once we've had ourselves a nice siesta, we should figure out where to go from here," she replies. "Y'all heard my strategy for taking down Eleven, we just need a plan and the right people to make it work. Then there's Mr. Friggin' Invincible and the rest of Set's lackeys..."

Before the Devourer could even acknowledge any of what Miles said, she noticed Rhea's appearance, causing her to drop the pizza slice she'd just grabbed in astonishment - and anger, as evidenced by the scowl that came over her.

   "Oh, you. Great. Come to gloat, kid? Or maybe sic your little attack puffball on me again? Get lost."    She turned to Miles.    "If you expect me to give her the time of day, think again. I'd rather go skydiving with Draedon than work together with that bitch."   

Narktus stammers upon realizing Set is there, and hastily turns around just in time to see him leave.

"... Okay then. Two extremely powerful abominations of science, sedated by ninja magic, just dropped in my prison."

He laughs nervously. "I should be happy about this. But at the same time I don't want to touch these two with a ten-foot pole."

Mega Man gets caught and smacked, but he breaks free before the smash with a Pile Driver dash aimed at megaman.

"..." Rhea huffs. "Aren't you just the spitting image of cheery? Surprised your first move wasn't to try and maul my face off, though."

She turns to Miles and points a thumb at the Devourer. "Said I probably taste like pineapple, relentlessly stalked me for fun, got handsy only when someone else happened to notice -" she pointedly glares at the Devourer as she strains that part out through gritted teeth. "- and attacked her, and I had to summon Providence so they could fight. Long story short, I got fed up and killed both of them."

She sighs. "That being said, I'm not an asshole. You pushed me that far. If you'll apologize, I'll forgive you."

Once Thor gets there, he'll find no sign of Iris at first.

Eventually though, he'll find a small, pink crystal. Unhelpful at first sight, but if he picks it up and looks closer, it'll show him a reflection of a hut in Solitude. Could it be...?

   "Naturally, that fight was exhilarating. I would've accepted death eagerly had you left me behind."   , Hisoka outright admits, pulling out his cards to shuffle them. He then looks disappointed.

   "That hand brat destroyed a few of my cards. I'll need to buy a new pack of cards now if I want a full deck."   

Then he looks at Nicole.

   "Might I suggest that, next time, we try to split the Cabal up before we charge into battle? Even the best of plans can fail against overwhelming power of such a difference. We also still need to see if our other allies from today are still willing to help fight."   

He pulls a Joker card out of his pack.

   "A defeat this crushing may also have crushed their spirit, after all."   

Cutsman glares, then tries to punch Mega Man down on the ground. Regardless of success, he then launches his scissors again.

Thankfully, he spares Mega Man from his puns this round.

The Pile Driver punches megaman right in the gut and sends him flying a short distance away.

"what"

He does a funny little dance, before pointing at Mega Man.

"b-ball meteor shower"

About twenty feet above the battlefield a number of b-balls (let's say five) come into being, and start dropping down one by one. Also, they appear to be aflame.

Huh, all the better for me. Anyway?

He put the headband down and wait for the Mook to speak up. Huh, apologies for that, by the way.

Mega Man jumps and ducks to evade Cutsman, but then the b-ball meteors come down.

"Ow, ow, ow -" He obliterates them with Rain Flush.

"Alright, enough. Speed Gear!" He launches at Cutsman with a Break Dash to try and stagger him, then an upwards-angled Charge Kick to launch him up. If that succeeds, he will jump up and bounce off Cutsman's head with Top Spin before firing a Hard Knuckle down at him to keep him down on the ground, and upon landing, will casually walk up and deliver a fearsome Mega Upper!

Upon spotting the crystal, Thor walks over and picks it up, then takes a moment to study the image in its reflection.

"Thank the Allfathers..."

Once he manages to confirm the hut's exact location, the weary but determined god of thunder pockets the crystal before flying off towards Solitude. Upon landing in the city's streets, he begins looking around for said hut.

Pietro flashes a grin at Hisoka.

"Tell you what, once I've gotten enough rest, I'll see if I can't run to the store and buy you a new deck. It's the least I can do after all your help today."

Nicole takes off her jacket and slings it over her shoulder.

"Yeah, if I've learned anything from today's mess, it's that taking the divide and conquer route might turn out better for us. As for the others, well... I'll bet you anything that the Saiyans ain't planning on dropping outta this fight."
