Claus pales a little.

"I don't want to imagine Thanos with anything that can potentially make him stronger than he already is."

He turns around and puts on his helmet again.

"Well, now that Ridley's monster has been taken care of, I'm gonna go back to the base and have the Pigmasks repair my eye. I can take care of my wingpack myself."

"I'll help ya get back, considering how tired you are from swimming.", Kumatora smirks. She then turns to everyone, about to say thanks to them all and goodbye to Thor, when suddenly the floor underneath the present group collapses.

Regardless of how they'll deal with that, once it has collapsed they'll be able to see that, from that blue substance, a strange, blue, squid-like creature emerges. Claus, who had fallen down alongside Kumatora by default, looks shocked.

"What the hell is that?"

"T-that's the same creature, but without its armor! It'd explain my scanner's earlier readings!", Claus says.

"So what you're saying is..."

Kumatora balls her fists, gathers psychic energy, and spits on the ground before grinning.

"It wants a Round 2."

Metroid Prime, now levitating in its true form, narrows its glowing eyes and spreads its tentacles, roaring in a disturbing mix of his earlier roar and hiss together. It then wastes no time, still pissed over the destruction of its carefully-crafted armor, and slams the ground with its tentacles, launching a shockwave over the ground.

Kumatora grabs Claus and jumps up to avoid the shockwave, then backs off a little.

"You need to find a safe spot."

"Not sure if there are any, but I'll try."

Metroid Prime Essence

The sound of the roar reaches far, even going through multiple parts of the Arena by means of vibrations of the ground itself.

To nearly everyone who can feel it, it won't mean anything. However, there is a single entity in the Arena whose instincts flare up at this feeling.

And that entity is Porky's SA-X◊.

Discarding its brainwashed loyalty, completely without Porky even realizing it, the SA-X leaves the area it was supposed to guard, and starts walking.

Thel Vadam goes plummeting down, landing on all fours. Without hesitation, he jumps over the shockwave and attempts to get in a lunging stab with his Energy Sword, which will transition into an uppercut if successful.

Doom Slayer uses a double-jump to remain airborne before hitting the ground, and air-dashes to stall. He switches back to his Super Shotgun and fires his Meat Hook, trying to pull off the grapple-into-shotgun-blast combo he failed to do when Metroid Prime was armored.

"Odin's beard!"

Despite his initial shock at the ground collapsing beneath them, Thor manages to quickly regain his bearings and land on his feet, staring down Metroid Prime.

"Of course, it's not bloody dead..."

He takes flight to narrowly avoid the shockwave, touches down, and unleashes a lightning blast from Mjolnir at the monster.

Metroid Prime Essence

Homura falls down into the pit, heavily, getting up in time to watch the metroid's shell crack. She backs up, ready for a fight.

Homura backflips over the shockwave, her shield whirring still, drawing something from behind her shield... A Light Machine gun. She tries to take aim at the creature, yelling to the others. "I wasn't expecting this! And, I don't know what to do about this damn thing!"

Dimitri would smile, before simply saying "Mind if we join in your training? It would be intresting to spar with people who fight in a different way than we're taught to in our homelands."

The wave subsides, the threat gone.

Seth grumbles something about missing his chance before walking off.

Vanessa, however, approaches the Lingering Will.

Vanessa: "You called that Ansem guy Xehanort. You got any info on him you mind sharing?"

Metroid Prime Round 2

Rash: "It can never be easy, can it?"

Rash falls, landing before jumping again to dodge the shockwave.

R7039-X lays on the ground, motionless for a minute or so. After that time has passed, its eyes glow for a moment before it slowly pushes itself up.

"Ugh... ow... now I know how snowglobes feel.", Greyface mutters, feeling pretty hurt. "But, well, at least I now know what I have to work on with this thing."

R7039-X starts to slowly walk off.

"Going back to base and getting to work right away. ... after a snack. And a nap. And another snack. I think I deserve two snacks for surviving whatever this was."

Metroid Prime swiftly flies to the side to avoid the stab.

This time the hook attack is much more successful, embedding itself in Metroid Prime's head and allowing Doom Slayer to safely blast the creature in the face. While it doesn't seem to do much damage, at least it's not like in its armored form, where it did close to nothing.

Thor's lightning hits it as well, making it shudder for just a moment, but nothing more.

Kumatora looks troubled. She wants to use PK Starstorm, but if she tries that, the caverns might collapse on them. PK Ground is another option she can't make use of for the same reasons.

So instead she launches a stream of PK Fire, hitting Metroid Prime, but still not doing much.

"Agh, damnit. If it can still take our attacks well, why did it even need armor in the first place!?", Kumatora grumbles, losing her patience.

Claus is uncertain about what to do. PK Love is too risky, and while PK Thunder is an option, it might cause the creature to target him, and his dodging options are too limited underground. Still, he doesn't want to be just a hassle or onlooker.

As such, he uses the Shield Killer, trying to see if Metroid Prime has an invisible shield that's taking these attacks this well. As the device scans Metroid Prime though, it turns out that it doesn't have any shields at all.

"No barriers... so this thing is just thick-skinned."

He turns to Homura.

"Just attack it, but don't use anything that can cause the caverns to collapse on us!"

Suddenly, Metroid Prime reaches out in front of itself with its tentacles, a blue glow forming underneath them, as a puddle of the blue substance emerges.

And then Metroid Prime turns invisible.

"Oh for fuck's sake.", Kumatora growls. Claus is very on edge now, since, without his cybernetic eye, he has no way of finding out if Metroid Prime is going to target him or not.

Then, however, a shockwave appears out of nowhere, and neither Kumatora or Claus is prepared to dodge it, so they get hit and fall on the ground.

If there are people fast enough to both dodge and fire an attack in the same direction the shockwave came from, there may just be a chance that they'll strike Metroid Prime.

Ansem? He was... Xehanort. Xehanort was a Keyblade Master. He was an old man, but he stole my body... my heart... Something was different about him, but that was definitely him. And I can't rest... Lingering Will plants his Keyblade in the ground and kneels down in front of it.

Until he's dead.

Both Doom Slayer and Thel Vadam are blown back, but both have a way to see the unseen. Thel, whose minimap on his HUD shows its position while it's moving and attacking, fires a few Carbine shots in succession at the Metroid Prime's general position. The Doom Slayer, who perceives invisible entities as only partially-invisible shadows, fires a grenade at it with his shoulder-launcher.

Due to Metroid Prime turning invisible, Thor doesn't see the shockwave coming and is subsequently blown off his feet.

"Damn!"

He takes a moment to pull himself back up, notices Thel and Doomguy firing at what he had to assume was Metroid Prime, and hurls Stormbringer in that general direction. Afterwards, the axe returns to the god of thunder's grasp, regardless of whether or not it finds its mark.

Hakumen grunts and cooly leave. Might as well explore the "future".

Garden Of Color

Vanessa nods.

Vanessa: "Right. Snake oughta know about this one..."

She kneels down at his level.

Vanessa: "Thanks for saving my hide back there. I owe you one sometime. After all, the kids need their mom to come home..."

She pops back up and walks off, taking out her Keyblade and looking at it...

Before it vanishes, returning to Hakumen.

Vs. Metroid Prime

Rash runs in, turning his arms to hammers as he follows the projectiles. He aims for what he assumes to be the head, trying to make something a hammer sandwich.

Time stop gimmicks

Homura's shield's whirr reaches its maximum levels, as homura dodges out of the way of the new shockwave, hearing her allies prompt her. Homura, looking at the shockwave fade, quickly yells "Got it!". Time for her to work her magic. She finishes aiming her Machine gun, and...

Time stops around Homura, as she takes the time she needs to approximate the location of her target, based on the ring around her. After that, She grins, opening fire with her machine gun, bullets leaving the barrel, and soon stopping, as she angles the gun around the area which metroid prime might be. Bullet casings fly out of the gun, stopping in midair a few centimetres from where they started moving, just like the bullets. occasionally, these would hit each other, knocking into each other in this time Homura has to herself. Homura runs out of ammunition, and her shield stops whirring, and...

A barrage of bullets flies towards the general area where metroid prime might be. These bullets, being frangible rounds, wouldn't do much damage to the environment, but also would have reduced armor piercing potential. Still, a significant amount of bullets were fired. Beside Homura, a swarm of bullet casings would begin to fly all over the place suddenly, seemingly having been kicked into action by an invisible force.

The group considers their options... Claude begins to approach Takumi, Dimitri stands near Samsara, while Edelgard still considers who to spar with.

Definitely not expecting to be found out so easily, Metroid Prime gets hit by every attack aimed at it (even the twin hammers, which is definitely not something it had seen coming), ending up hurling into the wall behind it due to the sheer amount of attacks, with Homura's bullets driving up the amount immensely. Regardless of total damage done, this many attacks would drive any non-armored being back.

As for the casings, luckily Claus and Kumatora being on the ground makes it so they don't get accidentally hit by any of them.

Snarling, the Metroid Prime then glows for just a second, and the Arbiter's minimap will have greater difficulty sensing where its current location is, perhaps even experiencing static, or seeing multiple versions of Metroid Prime all across the room. The Doom Slayer will still be able to see its silhouette, but it'll appear a bit wavy, meaning that it's possible for his further shots to barely miss their target.

This creature evolves so rapidly that it has an invisible form within an invisible form!

Then it reaches out in front of itself again. The previous puddle with blue liquid vanishes and a new one forms. However, this time, big, gray Metroids◊ emerge from them. Four in total, all with a different color. One's 'eyes' are yellow, one's purple, one's gray and one's red.

Kumatora smirks as she gets up and sees them.

"Now those I can handle.", she says, launching a PK Freeze at the gray Fission Metroid. To her relief (though she hides that she was first uncertain about her statement), the Fission Metroid is destroyed.

Claus follows up, wanting to do something of help in this battle, and strikes the purple Fission Metroid down with PK Thunder.

This leaves the red (Fire) Fission Metroid and the yellow (Plasma) Fission Metroid left roaming around the room, trying to get to people randomly in an attempt to latch onto them and suck their life energy out of their bodies.

Meanwhile, Metroid Prime launches another shockwave. And while Kumatora and Claus still can't see their attacker, they're more wary now, and as such they can dodge the shockwave, after which they launch a combined PK Thunder towards Metroid Prime's location.

They slightly miss the creature's center, but still manage to hit it near its right side.

If any of the combatants have a Plasma-elemental attack or weapon, they might find that said power or weapon seems to react to the puddle of blue liquid.

Thor takes flight to avoid the shockwave, swoops towards the yellow Fission Metroid, and slashes at it with Stormbringer.

You're... welcome.

And so the Lingering Will returns to his rest.

Doom Slayer gets out his Plasma Rifle and starts jumping and firing upon the yellow Fission Metroid. If it is staggered or otherwise nearly killed, he will run up and impale it front-to-back with the Doomblade before simply swinging hard enough to rip it open for a Glory Kill!

The Arbiter briefly panics, seeing the Fission Metroids appear alongside numerous unseen enemy signatures on his minimap. He then realizes it's a distortion similar to Active Camouflage and steels himself, though does not attack, instead focusing on dodging the shockwave and Fission Metroids.

Vs. Metroid Prime

Rash lands, hopping over the shockwave and then attempting to turn his right hand into a spike and charge the red Fission Metroid, going for a stab.

Versus Metroid Prime

Homura takes out a Mossberg shotgun, loaded with strange shells, doing a pump to load in one of the shells to the chamber. She takes aim at the red fission metroid, and fires a shot, Releasing a flame, and a spray of sparks. This does some damage to the gun in use, but, homura seems unfazed, saying "As much as this is manageable, I can't keep fighting forever without risking a cave in. We need to find a way to finish this."

Stormbringer deals significant damage to the yellow Fission Metroid, stunning it for Doomguy's gunfire and allowing it to get impaled and torn in half.

The red Fission Metroid gets stabbed, but doesn't die from it. It then attempts to latch onto Rash, since he's close to the little monster, but luckily, Homura's fire-elemental shot strikes it, the effective damage being enough to finish it off.

"I agree.", Kumatora says in response to what Homura says. "Even if we play it safe, we don't know if that thing is capable of other, more destructive attacks. Remember that it went wild before as well. If it does that here, it might end up with us crushed."

"Yeah, I'm surprised those shockwaves haven't caused a cave-in yet.", Claus says.

"Whatever rocks are holding it all up must be strong enough to take at least a few of those."

As if speaking of the devil, suddenly two shockwaves are launched right after one another. Kumatora dodges the first one, but gets hit by the second. This time though, Claus manages to dodge both and, thanks to his enhanced legs increasing the capabilities of his leaps, is able to snatch Kumatora out of the air before she can hit the ground.

Right after the shockwaves though, Metroid Prime swiftly moves right behind the two of them, suddenly grabbing them both with their tentacles.

"Wh-what the hell!?", Kumatora says.

"I think it's using us as living shields.", Claus says. He then grins.

"But that just means it's letting everyone else know where it is. Everyone, don't hesitate, keep attacking!"

He then notices that the hilt of his sword is slightly glowing, despite it not even being activated. Unbeknownst to him, as his saber is made out psychic plasma, it's responding to the blue liquid.

Realizing this, he grabs the hilt of his sword and throws it at Thor.

"Thor! Send some power into it and then dip the blade into that blue pool! I think something might happen if we do this!"

Thel perks up.

"And as for me..." He stabs his Energy Sword into the liquid, immersing as much of it as he can without exposing his hand or the actual hilt.

Doom Slayer just dash-strafes around the Metroid Prime, trying to get into a blind spot before pulling out the Combat Shotgun and firing at it.

Phazon

Homura looks to the pool of phazon, and sighs, her outfit changing once again. Her shield fades away, replaced by a staff, no... the staff bends into a curve, and a bowstring of energy forms. An arrow of energy forms, as homura dips it into the phazon, now glaring at metroid prime, in a new outfit to boot. She begins to draw back the bowstring, as the phazon binds with the energy from her soul gem... "Madoka, if you can see this fight, or, hear it... I hope this makes you proud!"

"Right!"

Lodging his axe into the ground, Thor catches Claus' sword before hoisting it into the air, allowing a bolt of lightning to strike the weapon.

"For Asgard!"

He then stabs it into the liquid.

Vs. Metroid Prime

Rash: "Ooh, I have been around long enough to not like where that tentacle stuff is going. Stop that now!"

Rash turns both of his hands into a drill; he rushes and tries to drill into the Metroid Prime's head, with the hope that the direct attack mixed with his crude comment would be enough of a distraction for those who can interact with the goo to get stuff done.

Thel's Energy Sword, Homura's Energy Arrow and Claus' PSI Saber start to glow an intense light blue, temporarily embedding the weapons with the power of this liquid.

Metroid Prime gets shot at from one of its sides, and receives some damage via drill on its forehead, causing it to slightly turn and raise Claus, as if it's planning to attack both of the pests with him as its weapon. Kumatora makes use of this situation to blast a PK Thunder right behind herself, not really damaging Metroid Prime, but still making it drop the both of them.

Before Claus can do anything himself, the pool disappears (meaning the fighters had been just in time), and Metroid Prime forms a new pool underneath itself, from which four Fission Metroid spawn.

This time, however, they don't immediately go after everyone. Instead, they start to glow, and it seems they're in the process of splitting...

Claus, realizing what they're about to try, launches small, weak blasts with his arm cannon. The blasts do little, but they do end up stunning the Fission Metroids, making it impossible for them to live up to their namesakes and split into more Fission Metroids.

Metroid Prime doesn't move from its spot this time around, through does try to whack Doom Slayer across the battlefield with a tentacle.

Doom Slayer is whacked.

Everything goes dark for a moment...

And then he's instantly back and ready to continue the action.

He tries to shoot a Frag Grenade into the mouth of a Fission Metroid from below, which if successful will stagger it and instantly make it weak enough to Glory Kill. He will then reach up and grab it by both of its big outer teeth, stab into the side of its body with the Doomblade (which doesn't need a free hand) and split it down the middle!

The Arbiter rushes in, trailing his Energy Sword behind him, and tries to combo the Metroid Prime with a barrage of slashes and stabs, but due to not being able to tell exactly where its central body is, if it simply moves he will falter.
