si!Omega and [March of the Skeletons] stepped off the sidelines, sighing.

His [Stand] went to help Arachnos down, as he himself moved Rey and Rbade away, to the safety of the place called 'not here'.

"Sasuga, Omega-sama," Arachnos says as thanks, assuming a humanoid form again as the lich Stand pulls him down.

Oh, Crap!, Venom is fighting Joseph Joestar in Whiterun! The latter is shooting Hamon-infused bullets at Venom using a tommy gun, but Venom dodge most of the projectiles and tank the rest as he rush to Joseph, grabbing him by the throat and lifting him. Joseph kick away a few times, to no effect.

   We will eat both your arms, and then both of your legs, and then we will eat your face right off your head. You will be this armless, legless, faceless thing, won’t you? Rolling down the street, like a turd in the wind.   

OH NO!!! You're about to make me one of you?!

   ARRGHHHLLLL!   

Angered at the insult, Venom roar and lift Joseph over his head. He start to spin Joseph just to be a dick before yeeting him across the air, with Joseph crashing through a door. Venom smirks.

   You're already pretty shitty if you ask us hahahahahaha!   

Right as he begin to laugh, some grenades, inexplicably placed by Joseph earlier, explode at his feet.

   OOF.   

Floating City

Sothis is around, sleeping on her floating throne once more. At least it's not just floating outside in the open this time, but its current location isn't any less awkward, as it's floating in the middle of a restaurant. An empty one, granted, but still, it'd be a very weird sight for anyone to walk into.

Byleth, standing on guard next to Sothis' throne, doesn't find it weird at all.

Then again, she's presumably been accompanying Sothis all the way from Riverwood to here, so if she wasn't already used to it, she'd have time to get accustomed.

Floating City

Morph Moth is cluelessly wandering the city, eating scraps off the ground when she gets hungry. What would a strange Moth-themed knight lady want with this place? Isn't odd that someone would be there in the first place?

Sothis mumbles something in her sleep. Something about bones. Kind of odd, to be honest.

After that, she suddenly wakes up. Really suddenly, not in the usual way where she's only half awake and yawning.

"Huh? What? Where..."

She glances around, realizing where she is once she sees Byleth.

"Oh, you're still here.", she says, the words itself sounding ungrateful, but her tone sounding much less so. "I've just had the weirdest dream... and I don't really remember any of it."

She slumps on the side of her throne, looking annoyed.

"Tell me, is it normal not to remember your dreams after you wake? If so, it's rather boring."

Byleth looks up at Sothis.

"It can vary. Some dreams become vivid memories that you swear were real, others may fade into the abyss."

"Is that so? Huh. I'm kinda curious what you would dream about.", Sothis says, looking a little mischievous.

Meanwhile, outside of the restaurant, a small distance away from it, three of the robots◊ are walking around, scanning the area. Morph Moth should be the first one able to notice them.

Good ol' Palpatine is lurking in the Floating City. How could he access such a place? Well, some Force jumps here and here, and some interest in its structure. At the very least, it wasn't some forsaken antic town stuck in mud and mist, he thought.

Having gone back to his façade as a kindly Senator, Palpatine is busy frequenting the city, sometimes stopping by to inspect the architecture.

"Me too," replies Byleth curtly.

It might take Sothis a sec for that to sink in.

She blinks at the weird wording Byleth used.

"... wait, are you curious about my dreams, or curious about your own dreams? Don't tell me you don't remember any of your dreams."

She stretches a bit.

"Never mind. I'm awake now, so I want to do something entertaining. What do you do for fun, other than being a mercenary?"

Outside, Palpatine too may see the robots looking at the area. One of them turns to look at him.

"Well, I'm a military teacher at Garreg Mach Monastery, and a participant in the Smash tournament. There are seventy-five of us in Smash and we are all different in some way, so each battle provides a new experience."

Beat

"I also fish."

Atop the buildings, cylinders made of ethereal gear-like projections materialize...

Floating City

What on Earth are those robots doing there? Are they up to no good? Not taking any chances, Morph Moth readies her laser rapier and slowly approaches them. Better to be safe than sorry in this case.

Palpatine notice the robots and freezes, briefly, looking mighty surprised (he actually kind of is but far less than he looks).

His power in the dark side is such that, if the robot is looking at him to scan him, it'll just perceive a whole bunch of black flames wrapping themselves around the barely-seen figure of the Senator. Even if the robot can't see that, then, he's covered in so much darkness that he may as well be made of coal. And if the scan can't perceive either dark or light, he's strong in the Force, very strong.

However Palpatine promptly attempt the wise strategy of hauling ass by running back in his alley, hoping that a brave knight will step up to defend the old man. He didn't have much to gain from random fights after all.

The robot looking at Palpatine scans him, even as he runs.

"... The target's energy does not match."

"Ignore him for now. Focus on our priorities." , another robot speaks up.

"The island has been scanned. As of now, it is no longer a priority." , the third one says.

"Then do you suggest we attack?"

"We'd go after him eventually anyway."

"Hold. There is someone else." , the third robot says as she notices Morph Moth. One of them scans again.

"Still no match."

"Does not matter. She is armed. Her intent is clear."

"If we kill her now, we will have less issues later."

"Then go for it. I will first contact base and ask for back-up, considering how previous encounters with these people have been."

"Agreed. Once you've done so, chase the old man."

Two of the robots have threads bursting out from their arms, enveloping them to create gatling gun-arms, aiming them right at Morph Moth before opening fire.

???

"Well, at least that Smash thing sounds like fun. And of course it's the one thing that I can't potentially see for myself.", she sighs. She then hops off of her throne.

"Well then, how about we stretch our legs a bit and go look for something fun?", she asks, smiling. "Something interesting has to happen somewhere in this pla-"

Cue the sound of gunfire right outside.

"Huh? What sort of sounds are those? Let us investigate.", she says, slightly giddy as she walks towards the door.

From the cylinders emerge five staff-wielding robots, much more basic and crude than the feminine other three (four if you count Morph Moth). Each bears the gravity-well symbol on Narktus' chestplate, the emblem of Gravitas,◊ on the back of its cloak.

From their vantage point atop the buildings, they observe the street, keeping out of sight from those below.

"We met when you appeared in the middle of a Smash match-"

Byleth hears the gunfire too.

"Let's." She sprints out and quickly stumbles upon the beginnings of the fight.

Palpatine eventually hide in his alley and, when noticing that he's alone, straighten himself up and dismissively fix his coat.

Briefly, he wonder if some ally of his is present, but dispel that thought. The Force would've certainly told him.

He begins to walk away, and quicken his pace only a little bit. He doesn't care much for the gunfire.

And so Morph Moth takes cover behind a building corner. However, she gets scratched in her cheeks by those bullets. If only her reflexes kicked in sooner!

Ha! So Morph Moth was right! Those guys are deadly! In order to fight, she has to remember the basics of Maverick-style fighting. Thank Inafune that Sigma is a good mentor!

And so Morph Moth fires a few pot shots at the robots. These shots consist of laser blasts mixed with scrap projectiles. Both kinds are fired from her palms

She's obviously unaware of the arrivals on the roofs as she's fighting for her life.

Sothis floats high enough to peek above Byleth's shoulder to witness the fighting. She frowns.

"Something about those metal combatants rubs me the wrong way."

Meanwhile, some of Morph Moth's shots hit one of the robots, causing some visible damage on its armor. However, to perhaps her shock, and perhaps to the shock of everyone else present as well (save for the robots on the roof), some threads appear out of the robot's body and start repairing the damage. One of them continues to try to shoot at Morph Moth, walking closer towards the corner of the building as it attempts to put pressure on her enemy.

The one that started repairing notices Byleth and Sothis and starts scanning. The last one, the one contacting their base, nods once before turning to its allies.

"The Queen is gracing us with an Officer model, who is on her way right now."

"An Officer? Then we won't have much trouble with these people after all." , the one attacking Morph Moth says. The one who contacted the base notices Palpatine and starts to approach him, its weapon not yet out, but its body language shows it's close to attacking him.

They don't notice the robots on the roof yet.

The IG-100 Magnaguards jump down onto the streets, mixing in among the robot girls - and one in front of Palpatine!

They activate their electrostaffs and point them at basically everyone else. The swishing of their capes as they take stances should allow for a glimpse at the emblems.

The Magnaguard blocking Palpatine raises its staff to strike... then something slashes across its back and it falls over, completely fried. Palpatine may only catch a glimpse of purple hair and steel-grey skin as his savior runs off towards the fray.

And if he bothers to inspect the body, he may also realize they took the electrostaff.

Initially surprised, Byleth moves to cover Sothis. She nocks an arrow on the bow Failnaught and begins gathering strength.

Floating City

These guys can regenerate, huh?! Are there Reploids this hardy back on the Earth of 21XX?! Such madness!

Trying her best to avoid the deadly gunfire, Morph Moth flies past these annoying robots. To ensure they won't try any dirty tricks, she scatters some of her blinding metallic scales on these tough SOBs. If they still attack her even after that plan works, she follows up with a scrap bomb attack.

The one firing at Morph Moth doesn't immediately let up, even with the new robots interfering. The one who was scanning and the one walking towards Palpatine, on the other hand, turn to look at their new enemies and, upon noticing the emblem on their capes, immediately prepare to attack them.

Only to have the one near Palpatine get taken out by someone else, to their surprise, before they can even say anything about said emblems.

"We need a quick status."

"The energy of the two new enemies near the door does not match. I have not managed a scan of the other new enemy yet."

"Since they are all enemies, let us simply unleash our bullets without trying to aim at any specific one."

"Agr-ACK!" , the robot says, as the three of them start experiencing some issues with their visors due to Morph Moth's blinding, metallic scales. No attacks come from the three of them at this moment as they try to regain their sight.

Sothis, meanwhile, looks somewhat angry.

"Were they just planning indiscriminate fire with those unknown weapons!? Unforgivable! Come, let us take care of them quickly.", she says, now floating next to Byleth and gathering magical energy.

"As you wish." Byleth pulls back the string of Failnaught as far as she can, then unleashes an arrow that emerges as more of a piercing beam of powerful light upon one of the Magnaguards, impaling it and near-instantly taking it out.

The remaining three Magnaguards suddenly fall, one by one, as an animesque robot girl in a kimono◊ slashes them across the backs with a red-edged katana, causing them to deactivate. She then destroys their heads with the stolen electrostaff.

Byleth pauses and stares in confusion.

"It seems I made it."

Daft Punk - Technologic

She rushes one of the enemy robots and tries to slice its firing arm off with the katana. If successful, an electromagnetic pulse will erupt from the blade and disable the robot's ability to send threads out from that stump.
