Enter The Arena As Your Avatar -- The Spinoff!

Thanos simply smirk, and glance at her. He doesn't care much about tanking her attack, since his sole answer is to raise his gauntlet way above his head, and, slowly, turn it around.

The illusion around the gauntlet fade, revealing that there's a new place for a new object : a piece of Galeem!

I care not about proving myself to you. It it time for me to make a statement to this place. He says.

Both the cube and the piece of Galeem start to glow, and Thanos raises his hand high, actually straining as he begins to try and pull something out of the sky.

There's a loud, loud droning sound, that one could hear even in Sanctuary, and the sky goes white, since there's a weird white light hovering above the clouds. As Thanos continue his motion, though, the white light begin to be pulled downward, making a nightmarish sound...

I annihilated half of all life once. And I've deemed that the people of this place deserve to see a piece of the power that accomplished such a feat.

COSMIC FALL

Slowly, in a manner that is seen even through walls (allowing the people of Sanctuary to witness what's happening), a huge light start to descend upon the ruined remains of the town, briefly illuminating the whole Arena. It descends slowly at first, but pick up in speed and size, looking like a gigantic shooting star... however, its light, instead of being warm, is... weird. Unholy. Looking at it hurt both the eyes and the brain, and it seems like screaming accompany its slow fall.

Notably, its light cast no shadow. It illuminate everything, and shadows seems to die in its wake, a sterile sun born out of the corpse of a mad god, summoned by the whims of a mad titan.

Thanos has a particular Nightmare Face as he look at Iris, grin wide, piercing black eyes glowing, gauntlet almost vibrating, as if it can't handle the power it's channeling.

I will make this place fear me.

...

Broly defend himself, even if Callis is saved. He grab the final sword swing and break it in two, and open his mouth, as if to start a blast...

But then, he sees Cosmic Fall, and he freeze, being snapped out of his homicidal fury by the insane sight happening right under his eyes.

...

Thanos's crew doesn't even answer, firing back at the group. Seras gun down part of them, but not enough to really make a dent!

However, they stop when they see Cosmic Fall, and they all fall to their knees in sync, chanting something in Thanos's Titan tongue. This cause them to lose interest in the group, potentially allowing a daring escape.

Platinum wordlessly issue them a escape path, or at least, encourage them to dump the grenades somewhere. Whatever is happening, it's too dangerous to stick around, which is why the teleport spot is very close.

C-cover your eyes!

The Sheperds are all trying to hide from the light, having some bad memories of Galeem and just being flat out terrified/scared/apprehensive/anxious/worried about the light. Some of them cower, some have their weapons, but all are nervous.

What kind of mad god... asks Lucina.

Neuff stares at the light from her training spot at the throat of the world, she's very unnerved.

Set stand atop a generic mountain, witnessing Cosmic Fall. He looks pretty interested, though he doesn't show it. Tellingly, the rest of the Cabal does not want to see it, even Eleven and Madara himself!

"Nice joke," replies Callis. "We survived Galeem - we can survive this, too."

Deeq places a hand on her shoulder, and she uses Instant Transmission to teleport the two of them out of the death zone.

Space Fortress Gravitas

Narktus lounges on his throne when a mook informs him of an anomalous energy signature in the Arena.

He goes to investigate and, witnessing Cosmic Fall in action, his jaw briefly goes slack... but he regains his composure quickly.

Another Dimension

Star Knight is in training when he feels a horrible sensation in the bottom of his heart.

Battleship Halberd

Dharkon's spirit trembles as the light of Cosmic Fall reflects off of Meta Knight's mask.

Somewhere

The lightning god Raijin sits in meditation. As the sound of Cosmic Fall reaches his ears, he opens his eyes... and closes them again, shaking his head sadly.

After pulling himself out of the river, Thor rushes back into the fight with his weapons at the ready, still determined to defeat Thanos here and now despite how badly the Mad Titan had just brutalized him... before noticing the Cosmic Fall descending upon the Arena.

"What... the Hel..." is all the god of thunder can stammer out as Thanos' unholy... thing plummets towards him and his allies.

Loki retaliates by unleashing a beam from his scepter in a sweeping arc at Thanos' minions, Wanda hurls several massive red bolts of her magic, and Pietro opens fire with a Chaos Minigun alongside his vampiric friend... then the Cosmic Fall causes both the Black Order and their flunkies to start worshipping their master like the fanatics they were.

Realizing that their original plan was beyond salvaging, the god of mischief wordlessly gestures for his allies to arm their detpacks and give them to him. Once they've done so, he hurls them onto various parts of their surroundings, hits the detonator, and legs it to Platinum's teleport spot.

Wanda hurries after Loki as fast as her legs can carry her, while Pietro drops out of his Chaos Form and dashes towards the teleport spot.

"C'mon, Seras, before they start mobbing us again!"

Iris blinks, not really recognizing the piece of Galeem.

"... what's that thing supposed to be?", she asks. Then she looks up when the light appears and seems almost entranced by it, not reacting in quite the same way as the others.

The energy gathered in her hand returns to her necklace, which now begins to shudder on its own, red crackles of electricity emitting from it as they climb down her and reach the floor.

It's clear that Iris does not have the power to defeat Thanos, not by a long shot. Running is the only option that'll lead to her survival. Yet, a feeling deep inside her prevents her from just bolting.

"I fear one thing...", she mutters, after which some memories flash through her mind. She then lowers her head to look at Thanos, her expression emotionless and her pupils more slitted than round.

"It is not you."

She raises one hand. No attack is formed, but the glow from the necklace now spreads to Iris' entire body, making her crackle with that same electricity too.

"Ancient Resilience."

The Masked Man, meanwhile, is about to reenter the town as Cosmic Fall appears. Just a brief look at it has his sensors screaming danger, and he bolts.

Claus would normally get involved immediately at this point, berating him for abandoning his allies, trying to force him to go back to help. But having witnessed Cosmic Fall leaves him in a state of shock, unable to even think of going back.

The Masked Man was not sticking around for this attack. He'd made his point clear to Thanos, and that's what he came to do. In his mind, his part here is done.

Seras pauses when Thanos' flunkies start worshipping, only to recoil and hiss at seeing Cosmic Fall. She actually looks hurt simply by seeing it. She's only barely able to give Loki her jetpack and then start running, eyes closed as burnmarks appear on her skin.

Being a vampire definitely makes her more vulnerable to this attack, regardless of its unholy nature.

All Seras does other than running for the teleporter is grab the bomb she received earlier and, without looking back, throw it at Thanos' underlings, in the hopes that the explosion will take out at least a few of them.

Assassins Base

While the underground base protects the Assassins from the light, Andropov's crystals◊ still show some of it, forcing the young soldier to dispel them for his own safety.

Seaborne Fortress, Wreck of the Brinehammer

The Queen stands at the windows of her room, looking at the distant Cosmic Fall. Her advisor, who's in the room with her, is forced to shield her eyes and turn around. The Queen, however, just looks right at it.

"This world is... interesting..."

The advisor is about to say something about it, only for her to flinch from a burst of energy near her. Something in the Queen's room seems to be reacting to Cosmic Fall, glowing red and emitting harmful energy as a response. The Queen, unfazed, glances back at it.

"Very interesting indeed..."

Julius' Castle

Julius, who's sleeping on his throne, wakes due to sensing a great source of energy in the far distance. He narrows his eyes, not liking the feeling one bit.

There's someone else who also senses Cosmic Fall's energy. A lone woman dressed in a concealing cloak similar to the one Morgan wears, having basically locked herself away in a section of the castle's library.

She glances up from her books for what may be the first time in a very long time, the red marks under her eyes glowing bright.

   "..."

Wallace bursts back through the stone door, the light shining upon him.

Wallace: "What in the goddamn..."

Deep in Negative Space

RED rumbles.

RED:    "THAT LIGHT! THAT LIGHT! THAT LIGHT! THAT LIGHT! THAT LIGHT! THAT LIGHT-"   

   "Enough."   

He is surrounded by a sight more horrifying than him as his madness falls to silence...

Space Fortress Gravitas

X attempts to follow Narktus, but gets physically sick.

Metallix, barely registering his fallen master, looks on at the chaos, simply processing...

North Markarth Skies

Three airships hang dead in the air above Markarth, watching the chaos unfold.

"Again? I can't do it again, daddy..."

"Something different."

"Yet familiar."

"Not any attack I've seen before."

"This isn't the work of any sort of god."

"One of a madman, perhaps."

???

In a void full of stars, a familiar trio looks on.

"Oh dear. They may require our assistance after all."

"I don't like this..."

"Don't worry, wee thing. We'll get you some ice cream after this."

The World That Never Was

"A harsh light falls again. Ansem, it is time that you return to your post with Gravitas. There is much to do..."

Ansem nods, leaving through a shadow portal.

On the highest throne, Xehanort sits; He bathes in a feeling felt even in nothingness, and plans his next move.

Secret Forest

SM: "A light that cuts through all."

Dylan: "There's no way lightning's striking twice."

Axel: "Well, then what else do you call a blinding light?"

Dylan gulps, his eyes straining. Suicide Mouse's body begins to deteriorate, but he retreats in a shadow portal before it gets too bad.

Transitive Space

"Y'all sure you wanna do this now?"

"In light of recent events, pun not intended, we will postpone the tournament until further notice."

"Understood."

"Affirmative."

"Funky fresh."

Again, while some aliens are gunned down, it doesn't make a dent in the army, and Ebony Maw uses his powers to intercept the projectiles and throw them back, while projectiles of all kind are thrown the good guys's way. There's so many that they're bound to hit and cause a lot of damage.

The group is pretty lucky about the whole "praying" deal.

Ebony Maw, while distracted, uses his power to prevent the bombs from being near, well, the black order.

The black hole grenades, while deadly, can't really wreck Sanctuary when it's so enormous, so while a good deal of aliens are sucked into a black hole mid-praying, the actual explosions themselves do not really destroy Sanctuary.

The group's teleported off.

Thanos has no reason to really care about anything happening around him.

Cosmic Fall hit the ground, and around Windhelm, it creates a very wide white explosion, large enough to even hit Sanctuary, though the Masked Man should be safe if he's safe enough, since the explosion happens just on the town itself for a few seconds before spreading outwards to consume a wider part of the region.

It doesn't make a sound at all, just spreading further and illuminating the world.

Annihilation.

Then, finally, it vanish.

Somewhere in the writhing abyss, chaos itself feels the light of Cosmic Fall.

And Zalgo screams with impotent rage.

The two Time Patrollers, now a few miles outside the danger zone, power down to normal.

"Wait, shouldn't we go back and-"

BOOM.

Callis winces as she beholds Cosmic Fall's impact from several miles away. Good thing people can respawn here... she thinks.

Thor, finally snapping out of his funk, flies towards Iris and attempts to grab her before rocketing towards Mount Anthor so as to avoid being destroyed by Thanos' ultimate attack. Upon landing on the mountain, regardless of whether or not he managed to bring Iris with him, the god of thunder collapses on his back in the snow.

"He's... unstoppable..."

Once their group has presumably been teleported somewhere safe, the Maximoffs and Loki can only watch as Cosmic Fall utterly destroys Windhelm.

"Did Thanos really just do... that?"

"Holy... just what the hell is this guy?"

"Cinke was right... he truly is nothing like anything we've ever seen..."

Seras acts quickly, slashing at the reflected explosives with her claw to make them explode in the middle of the hallway instead. She then gets teleported out, now safe from the attack, and observes the result of the attack in silence. Her hair covers her eyes, rendering her expression unreadable.

The Masked Man, meanwhile, has finished making a strategic retreat, and is thus safe.

Iris, however, doesn't move on her own, though also doesn't resist Thor grabbing her and taking her to safety.

Unlike Thor, she doesn't collapse immediately. She stands and watches on, in silence as well. Although once the attack inevitably ends, she and her necklace will suddenly stop glowing, after which Iris collapses too. Only she fell sideways, indicating she's losing consciousness.

When everything goes back to normal, Windhelm and surrounding is... gone. It's just a white plain, devoid of life, expect for some rocks, Broly (who's confused), Thanos and Sanctuary.

Thanos look at Sanctuary and teleport on it, amongst his army.

I am most... satisfied. he says. Even in the face of your pitiful defense of Sanctuary.

Should we finish them off, Milord?

No. Let us return. I'm done with this place... for the moment.

Thanos clench his fist and teleport back in his throne as aliens and robot prepare to repair the damage done by the grenades.

I'll return, in time, and may this day prove to be a grim one for this pitiful place.

Thanos smirk, and Sanctuary depart, exiting the Arena, for now.

Broly is left behind, calmed down. He goes to see his dad.

The wind blows over a desolate Windhelm, and while the arena does repair it soon enough, an odd feeling is now forever tied to it...

DEFEAT

Callis moves in a bit closer to get a look at the aftermath.

She sees that Thanos left Broly and Paragus behind, and shakes her head. Business to finish later, she decides.

She and Deeq teleport away.

After watching Thanos' warship depart, Thor eventually manages to pull himself back to his feet before looking to Iris. Realizing that she was losing consciousness, he moves to scoop the angel up in his arms before beginning the trek towards the city of Winterhold, where he planned on taking her to the Frozen Hearth inn so they could both recover from their clash with the Mad Titan.

"You'll be okay, Iris... I'm right here..."

"If it's all the same to you... I'll have myself a drink or two now," Loki says. "After that, I suppose Thor and I will figure out where the Hel we go from here."

With that, the god of mischief takes his leave.

"I hate to admit it, Wanda, but... teaming up with Mara was definitely the right call here," Pietro admits.

"A pity I couldn't reach her before this battle, if you could even consider it that," Wanda replies.

The silver-haired speedster looks to Seras.

"So... how're you holding up, police girl?"

Iris gets caught, weakly lying in Thor's arms as he starts getting them to Winterhold. She's unconscious, but her eyes are still open and her pupils aren't visible. During the flight though, she suddenly blinks, her eyes returning to normal.

"H... huh?", she weakly asks before glancing up at Thor.

"Thor? W... wait, if I'm still alive, that means... my technique still works, even with less-"

She winces, some pain shooting through her wounds.

"Ouch, ouch..."

"Son of a...", Seras growls, glaring and gritting her teeth. "We failed miserably. At least we made it out alive, but..."

She sighs, looking unsure as she turns to look at Wanda and Pietro.

"Master would've had a way to turn that situation around. I'm... sorry."

Oi, mon cherie, don't beat yourself up over it. Regardless of how fighting the soldiers would've gone, I bet not even Alucard would've been able to fight that nuke of a light attack., Pip mentally tries to reassure her.

The Masked Man lands near Claus' base, glancing back as he sees Thanos leave. He remains silent for a moment, and Claus uses this moment to speak up.

... thank you. ... for not betraying us.

"Hm.", the Masked Man replies with a neutral tone, either not willing to acknowledge Claus' gratitude, or, in case he does care about it, not show it.

... I need to get ready. No doubt Thor will want answers because of your statement. Once he's rested up, he'll probably come for them.

"You sound certain of his survival. We left before we could see if anyone else made it out."

Thor is one of the strongest people I've ever met. If anyone could survive that, it's him.

The Masked Man slightly smirks in response. It does his pride pretty good to know that the guy who he knows can handle him is regarded as really strong. He walks into the base, desiring to get some food, after which he'll hand control back to Claus.

Suddenly, BE!Pietro's phone will go off, and if he takes a look, he'll see that Lust is trying to call him. Not that optimal a timing. Still... Lust is never the first to call, preferring to come to him in person when she feels like being around him.

Her choosing to call now may mean she has something important to say.

"Just... try to relax, Iris. We'll have plenty of time to talk after we've rested up," Thor says, offering her a reassuring smile as he continues walking towards Winterhold.

Pietro lays a comforting hand on Seras' shoulder.

"Ah, don't blame yourself for what happened. Besides, I'm pretty sure you took out a good chunk of Thanos' lackies back there."

"I know things didn't go exactly as planned, but Pietro and I both appreciate your help nonetheless," Wanda assures.

Floating City

At the inn where he and Lust decided to stay during the WOL crisis, BE!Pietro◊ sits upon the couch in their room, flipping one of his daggers in one hand. Upon hearing his phone go off, he sheathes the weapon, checks to see who could be calling him, then answers after seeing that it was Lust herself.

"Well, isn't this a pleasant surprise! What can I do for you, Lusty?"

"Rest... sounds like it's just what I need.", she says, smiling a little and closing her eyes. "Thanks."

Seras sighs again, but with her friends' and lover's combined reassurance, she eventually nods.

"At least he seems to be gone now. Do you think he'll stay gone, or is he going to come back?"

She glances at the former site of Windhelm.

"If you suspect the latter, we're going to need to find someone who can deal with that gauntlet of his."

   "Pietro, were you responsible for that massive attack that hit a part of the Arena about a minute ago?"   , Lust asks, sounding uncharacteristically worried.

   "Because apparently there was one, Father sensed it, became enraged and said he sensed your presence there. Please tell me you weren't involved in that, because if you are, I think Father may consider you a threat. He might send Wrath after you."   

"Of course."

Once they've reached Winterhold, Thor carries Iris into the Frozen Hearth, heads into the first room he comes across, and sets the angel down upon the bed. Afterwards, he proceeds to set Mjolnir and Stormbringer aside before collapsing into a chair, sighing with exhaustion.

"As much as I hope this'll be the last time we see him, I've got a feeling he'll be back again," Pietro replies.

"Fortunately, I know someone powerful enough to deal with Thanos and his gauntlet," Wanda chimes in. "She's not my friend, but she is willing to fight alongside me against bigger threats."

BE!Pietro raises an eyebrow.

"You mean that giant doomsday meteor I saw earlier? Lust, I was at our inn when it hit the Arena; hell, I'm still here," he replies. "I don't know where the hell that... abomination came from or who in their right mind would summon something like that, but trust me, I had nothing to do with it."

She falls asleep pretty much instantly, even snoring a little.

"Ah. Then we should go see if she's willing to help us.", Seras says. "Where can we find her?"

   "That's good."   , she says, sounding relieved.

   "Hey, izzat Pietro?"   , Greed's voice can be heard in the background.

   "Yeah. He wasn't involved."   

   "Good, but his word won't be enough for Father. Yo, Pietro, can ya hear me? Take a pic of yourself with your location visible on it and send it to Lust. It should prove your innocence to Father."   

   "That's a good idea."   

Thor ends up falling asleep as well.

"Well, that's the million dollar question, police girl. I have no idea where the hell she is, and neither does Wanda," Pietro says.

"You let me worry about finding and/or contacting her, Seras. In the meantime, I think we've all earned a little reprieve after today's events," Wanda says.

"If it'll keep Father from siccing Wrath on me, then sure thing."

BE!Pietro takes a picture of himself with his phone before sending it to Lust, who should easily recognize the room he's currently staying at.

"Yeah. I could go for a pint of beer.", Seras says. She then smirks.

"I guess it wasn't a total bust though. I got my hands on these.", she says, showing the two Chitauri guns she had within the ship.

   "Ah, it's the honeymoon room."   , Greed teases.

   "Be silent, you. You know he has a girlfriend."   , Lust says. Greed snickers.

   "I know. But it's too fun to not tease."   , he says, laughing. Lust just sighs before turning her attention back to BE!Pietro.

   "I think this'll be enough. I'll end the call and show it to him. Should he still come after you, I'll call you back to warn you."   

Pietro actually chuckles at Seras' remark.

"Heh, just imagine how many monsters you'll be able to vaporize with those!"

Wanda smiles.

"I think I'll go on ahead. Feel free to catch up whenever you two are ready."

With that, she departs from the premises.

"Alright. And if everything checks out with Father, is there any chance you could come over?" BE!Pietro asks. "We haven't hung out since Galeem and Dharkon got what was coming to them and, well... you know how much I enjoy your company, Lusty."

"Yeah, and I'm sure Miss Integra will have a field day having these things examined too.", she says with a grin, her good mood back.

After waving goodbye to Wanda, she starts walking.

"Time for that pint. Wanna come with me?"

   "Well, most likely not today. But I'm sure tomorrow works on my end."   , Lust says, chuckling.    "It's been a while, so I look forward to-"   

   "Oh shit. Lust, show that picture quickly, then we have to move out."   , Greed says in the background once again.    "Apparently Envy was near the town that got wiped out. We need to go verify if he's still alive or not."   

   "What!? Ugh, I despise his tendency to get himself in trouble so often. Well, Pietro, it may have to be a little longer before we can meet up, but I'll work as fast as I can."   

Pietro walks alongside Seras, offering her a grin in return.

"Like you even needed to ask, police girl."

"I swear, it's like Envy enjoys getting in trouble whenever he has the chance," BE!Pietro says, shaking his head. "Oh well, it'll be worth the wait to see you again, Lust."

She grins playfully before giving him a playful punch to the arm.

"Race ya."

Before Pietro can react to that, Seras suddenly zips ahead.

   "Agreed. See you real soon, Pietro."   , Lust chuckles again, after which she has to hang up.

Julius's castle,???

Niagara is clad in his armor, yawning just a little as he practice his swordsmanship in a training room. He didn't really sleep well, owing to a bizarre light and droning sounds. This locked him in a state where he wanted to sleep yet couldn't at the same time.

Thus, at least, he imagined that practicing his sword swings would be important. He'd need to get stronger after all, and it'd "awaken" his body.

Tsuh! he grunts, stabbing at the air.

Someone is headed towards the training room, unaware that it's in use. As such, they open the door, and if Niagara turns around, he'll come face to face with a hooded person carrying a tome.

   "... odd. This training room isn't usually occupied."   , the figure says, their voice feminine.
