The two Sheperds continue to prepare their attacks, Lucina's golden sword now glows, indicating that Aether is ready.

Iron Man, for his part, unleash several missiles at the eye, Pharah-style, while standing in place, making it easy to dislodge him.

There's a stake difference between a party and saving the world ! Oh, god, you're making me sound like Romanoff !

Oca bawoops our of the way of the slash and the rift, hovering in space. He grunts and fires an Eastern Blitz.

Nagato manages to dodge the slash but gets caught in the rift. It slows her to about normal walking speed - she is hella fast.

The Batter and his Add-Ons all get caught in the rift this time, though barely avoid the slash itself.

Luckily they're on the ground and at the edge, so the explosion doesn't get them. Still, they're not able to do much. The Batter manages to use Save First Base on Epsilon purely because the agility buff he has allows him to move fast enough to at least get that done.

Joker, Flynn, and madoka would stick together as the rifts are made, avoiding the initial tentacle barrage. Flynn and Joker would be attempting to blast Dharkon with Gun element and Holy element spells, respectively, While madoka Racks a lot of arrows on her bow.

"This isn't really... comfortable, you know? I'm getting rather exhausted. Do you have any items to help with that?"

Joker would take out some canned drink which actually restores sp.    "Here, Drink this. It'll help a bit, at least."   

Madoka would just be focused on preparing her attack.

Weiss, in the meanwhile, is hit dead on by a tentacle, their pages flying everywhere as they're knocked off stage, Incinerating as they reach the death zone. The remaining pages would land before dharkon, each page just full of the phrase "Consume Feces and Cease your vital functions."

"Oh, do not let her hear you say that, my friend! Although, considering how great of a spy she is, she might just be listening to us right now..."

Thor rockets into the air just in time to avoid both the slash and the rift, then proceeds to charge Iron Man's armor with lightning once more.

Under less dire circumstances, Loki would have at least considered summoning an illusory Black Widow to mess with Stark. Since circumstances were rather dire, though, he opts to merely duck beneath the oncoming slash before closing in on Dharkon, then attempting to run him through with his scepter.

"Alas, there will always be more opportunities for mischief later."

Dharkon begins to use that portal attack (Tangled Rush), but then right as his tentacles start to rush through Baldur, there is an impact flash upon him as Loki's scepter strikes.

Dharkon's eye thrashes around, recalling his tentacles to himself as darkness erupts from his body. He surrounds the fighters in a cage of his tentacles as he did in the beginning of the fight, only this time he is clearly trembling as he does so.

With one last explosion of purple fire, the whole of Dharkon descends into the abyssal void...

Baldur laughs as he's hit and sent flying, being blasted apart by the out-of-bound rules.

Lucina and Samsara sit there and turn off their powers, in relief. They appear to be unable to fully grasp what just happened exactly... or they can, but have trouble believing it !

We won.

Yes... yes ! We won !

Iron Man land and smirk, turning around to look at the Asgardians.

You'd need to come down to Earth to even warn her. It's been a while, ya know ? Good job, though. The post-victory party is on me.

Now freed from being slowed, the Batter and his Add-Ons get back up, witnessing Dharkon's fall.

   "Adversaries purified."   , he says.

Oca powers down.

”... We won?”

Nagato just blinks. Skeptical.

Is it over?

As Dharkon falls, Flynn, Joker, And Madoka would stand up, Looking around.

Madoka would jump for joy, her face showing the purest of Joy as of this victory. "YES! WE DID IT! WE DID I-" She'd then look at all the wounds on her body, And chuckle. "Oh, uhm... Huh."

Flynn would sheathe his blade, and walk over to lucina, offering a hand shake. "Nicely done, Lady Lucina. Your skill with the blade is masterful at the very least. Are you sure you're just a normal person? Because that was art in motion."

Joker would sigh, looking over towards everyone else. He'd walk over eventually.    "Great job everyone... Sorry if I didn't pull my weight as much as I should've."

Thor touches down as well, watching as Dharkon was seemingly defeated before turning to Stark.

"While I would be honored to attend this party, Stark, let's wait until we can confirm that Dharkon actually has been vanquished first."

Loki blinks in surprise, then shifts his gaze to where the Lord of Darkness had apparently fallen.

"...This is some kind of deception, isn't it?"

Everything turns to black...

The light returns, and the fighters are in the Dark Realm, standing exactly where they were before the fight began.

Dharkon suddenly falls from... above them, somehow, and lands in the ring of energy where his eye had been resting before the fight. He slithers down deeper into the center, creating one last swirling portal as he retreats into another dimensional layer.

There's a familiar choir tone. A blazing yellow orb suddenly comes flying into the Dark Realm from its edge, and zooms directly into the new vortex in pursuit of Dharkon. The Batter, Thanos, and those who fought Galeem will immediately recognize the orb as the form Galeem condensed into to escape when originally defeated.

The Batter instantly pauses when he hears Galeem's choir.

   "Galeem!"   , he says, walking to the edge of the portal that Dharkon and Galeem went through, looking down at it.

   "He's back. My puppeteer... I must find a way to follow."   

Oca and Nagato both let out flat whats.

Cybersaiyan whips out a machine gun [and DOESNT lose it this time]. Nagato glares at Galeem.

Thanos, unlike those who fought Galeem, just smirks happily.

Good. Two birds with one stone.

W-what do you mean ?! ask Doppio.

Galeem has come. There is no need to track him down as a result.

Worried, Sakura, Emmeryn and Maribelle raise their staves, offering heal for the fighters. Iron Man accepts them, since he's been a bit banged up.

Something fascinating is going to happen. All is going to plan...

Oh fuck

Flynn looks towards the two entities, one of order and subjigation, one of destruction. He'd remember the strife from his home universe, Which enrages him more. He'd draw his blade pointing it at the new portal. "Both of those fiends remain... How cute."

Madoka would panic a bit, seeing both these entities which resemble witches before her. She'd tremble and fall to her knees. "Was all that.. not worth it?"

Joker, in the meanwhile, would try to sneak up on batter, gun raised, pointed at batter's head. He's not trusting this close ally of galeem right now. He's prepared to do something if batter acts up. He'd whisper under his breath.    "Don't think I forgot what happened last time..."

At the sight of both Dharkon successfully retreating and Galeem returning, Thor grits his teeth and grips Mjolnir so tightly, his knuckles are noticeably turning white while the hammer crackles with lightning.

"By Odin's beard! What the bloody Hel is it going to take to kill these bastards?!"

Loki... just begins cackling like a madman.

"Oh, I'm sorry to spoil your fun, but how are things going to plan, Mad Titan? Galeem and Dharkon still live, we're no closer to liberating all of their Spirits and Puppets than we were when this madness began, we now have both of those arseholes to contend with... I just fail to see how things could possibly be going our way!"

Pit looks at Loki. "They’re going to fight each other directly now. All we have to do is take advantage of the chaos, and they’ve helpfully buried themselves so low that their conflict won’t mess with the Arena anymore!"

Before Joker can pull the trigger, a spectral image of Galeem’s wing surrounds the Batter, and he seemingly vanishes.

"... Well that’s not good."

Hmph. A good idea. But one that require planning. We shall retreat... for a short while. As for you, Loki, you once again underestimate my ability to foresee such events. I assure you that Galeem's presence is quite fortunate.

I shall call you for the last and final time when the time to fight will come. For now...

He snaps, and there's a bright light. Anyone caught in the light will be transported back to their original locations in the Arena.

Everything is going according to my plans, warriors of the arena. The time of true revenge is near. booms Thanos's voice in the sky, one more time, before vanishing.

Now what...

Joker would be too late on the trigger as batter is taken away, firing into thin air. He'd sigh, sitting down.    "Now we have to deal with both of them. At least we could use their conflict to our advantage, as angel boy over there said."   

Madoka would sigh, looking to the rest of the people who were there. "Do you have... any uh... plans? I've only got "Let them beat eachother up then swoop in and take them both out." which the angel said." She'd Scratch the back of her head.

In the meanwhile, Flynn would have a wild smile on his face, but he'd be hiding pain, and not very well. "This brings back some memories. Walter, Jonathan, At least it's not you this time." Flynn would enter the light and return.

Thor and Loki both noticeably calm down when Pit explains how things aren't as bad as they seem.

"I... suppose that's a fair point. Stark, whenever it's time for that party you mentioned earlier, make sure to let me know. It just might help me relax."

"True enough, I suppose... Well, I suppose all that's left is to begin planning for what will hopefully be our final showdown with Galeem and Dharkon."

Cue Thanos snapping his fingers and sending the Sons of Odin to their original location: Windhelm. The two briefly exchange looks, listen to the Mad Titan's announcement, then head into Candlehearth Hall for dinner and some well-earned drinks.

SI Gang

Dylan leaned in and looked at the table.

Dylan: "Cake, the 2000s upgrade to the olive branch! Usually."

Dylan then actually realized cake wasn't the only thing on the table.

Dylan: "Books? I'm assuming they're useful, considering you say they're from your Archive. Whatever that means."

Frontier Village

Chris would exit his room, playing A Certain High quality Rip Via the COMP in his Demonica gauntlet. The rest of the inn's patrons would enjoy it. He'd Head down to the main dining area, getting some delicious looking bacon, veggies... Not exactly breakfast food, but anything will do. He'd look around to see if thranix and geralt are around.

Geralt in the meanwhile would wake up, Young nopon still napping on his head. He'd see his swords behind him, sharpened, and even slightly improved in a... less than fancy looking way. He'd make his way out the door, and be greeted by heropon riki. Riki's home is right next to the inn, so Chris and thranix might be able to hear this. A strange creature would be beside Riki. A kyubey, but with yellow markings instead of red or pink, and additional yellow bands. Riki would speak to geralt. "Scarman Wakewake! Riki is very happy for scarhom! Scarhom pass out last night next to barrel of pure alcohol. Riki suspect that Scarhom dead until he briefly wake to puke. Scarhom is ok. Oh, Nota! Why is Nota on scarhom's head?" The odd kyubey would look at geralt and riki, then would hear the music playing.
