Beacon: Unleashed (Sign-Up)

Alright, I'm almost done, but I want to reserve the spot for now. So, I give you Henry Beewolf. And before anyone asks, Beewolf is a species of wasp.

• Name: Henry Beewolf
• Codename: Gold Wasp
• Gender: Male
• Age: 21
• Birthday: Ventus 11th
• Race: Wasp Faunus
• Appearance: Henry is a well-built man at about 5:9 in height. He has reddish-brown hair and blue eyes, with two antennae poking out of his head. He usually wears an orange or yellow t-shirt under his aviator jacket, both concealing a pair of tiny wings on his back. Henry also wears a pair of black gloves and a belt for his Dust rounds. Finally, he wears some black pants and brown boots.
• Weapons and Equipment:
  • Yellowjacket- Henry's tool of the trade is a drill- machine gun called Yellowjacket. This weapon is usually kept as a a drill, but can fold back the drill-bit to reveal a 6-barreled machine gun. Henry has spent a long time fine-tuning Yellowjacket, but the machine-gun will still occasionally jam, which requires Henry to disassemble the weapon to fix it. This does not affect the drill-function, but is still a problem in combat.

  • Wing-Pack- Henry has created a backpack device which allows him a short period of flight; much like a jet pack. This device uses Dust to create wings for Henry to use, but can only function for a maximum of 10 minutes at a time. Despite this, he only uses it for 5 minutes, due to the large amount of Dust used to create and maintain the wings. Like Yellowjacket, the Wing-Pack has a tendency to occasionally malfunction, though Henry has fine-tuned it to minimize this.

• Semblance:
  • Resonance- Henry's Semblance allows him to absorb Dust and energy attacks. He can then use himself as a conduit to multiply, and then return the attack to its owner. This Semblance, although useful, is a double edged sword. First, it takes up large amounts of his Aura to use, so he can only use it a couple times. Finally, multiplying and reflecting the attack damages his body depending on how strong the attack is, so it is very possible his Semblance could kill him.
• Expertise: Scouting
• Personality: Henry is a kind-hearted person, with a knack for tinkering. He could have usually been found with something mechanical in class at Beacon. Henry despises racists and sexists, for obvious reasons. He has a love for reading and a tendency to crack jokes, even if they suck. He has felt a need to prove himself since childhood, which has driven him to the point he is at now.
• Bio: Henry Beewolf was found and adopted by a middle-class family in Vale when he was barely a week old. While he was accepted by his family, almost everyone else scorned him just for looking different. Despite this, Henry worked hard to try to make his place in the world. After graduating at Signal, he moved on to Beacon, one of the greatest Huntsman academies in the world. There, Henry made his way through 4 years of school and has graduated. But, now he is at a crossroads of what to do next.

Zenith: Sorry, but denied. Two reasons, 1, as GM, I can not allow this character as it is very similar to a character that I will be playing as. Obviously you wouldn't know that, but them's the breaks. 2, I have gotten word from quite a few players telling me to watch out for you. So that's what I'm doing.

My character is a bee faunus, and I'd rather there not be two. Plus, like I said, I've heard enough to have problems with you in the RP, Zenith.

Question, do we already have a "Hello Kitty" analogue? I know we have an MLP one, Because I kinda think something like this would make a good laptop case design for her◊

Also is it possible to skip beacon and just be a government worker, since were doing a post beacon works for the goverment thing?

Well, some fighters can just be part of the kingdom's military.

If Kasumi's gonna be a hacker, I expect her to be what the 80s thought hackers were. Does she own a Power Glove? If you try to read her mind, do you just hear every single song by New Order at once?

Actually though I'd expect that computer in her head to do something to Lu's mind reading powers.

Taco, you forget that this is a speculative fiction Cyberpunk-esque action RP. So lapses in technology aren't that big of a deal. There were plenty of more serious 80s hacking conventions.

This RP isn't COMPLETELY ridiculous. I said a mix of MGS and Blood Dragon. Not completely Blood Dragon.

We don't have an analogy to that yet, I think. Doesn't stop you from making one though, Imca.

Considering I got my shadowrun books open Taco, I don't think you have to worry that much.

• Codename: Rose Sheep
• Gender: Female
• Age: 24
• Birthday: Felicitas 1
• Race:Faunus (Sheep)
• Appearance: Magenta curly hair with blue eyes and yellowish horns.◊ She usually wears a combination of sweaters and capris.
• Weapons and Equipment: Thunderclap, a pair of chakram rings that admit sonic attacks, with an even more powerful boom when used simmultaneously.
• Semblance: Electrogenesis. Dahlia can create electricity in both arcs and defensive sparks when attackers make contact. The wider the field of the electricity the less powerful it is. At close range it can be used to stun grounded opponents. Generally it is more powerful when going through a solid medium, especially a conductor.
• Expertise: Dahlia is naturalist that knows a lot about natural plants and animal life. She is handy in survival situations for her knowlege on camping and proper procedures for obtaining food and water.
• Personality: Dahlia doesn't think quite conventionally, and is a rather loud person. She is friendly and talkative and a bit bold in her opinions. She can be a bit hard to shut up sometimes. Despite this when she makes a close bond with someone she will work very hard to help them to the best of her ability.
• Bio: Dahlia doesn't remember anything before she was 10 years old, but her childhood after that was spent with her human uncle and Hunter Celadon Birch on the outskirts of the wilderness. He is a talented biologist and taught Dahlia a lot about nature, though some of his "natural" supplements were no where near as effective as he believed they were. Celadon encouraged her to be herself, so it surprised her when she arrived at Beacon to find that Faunus were expected to be second class citizens. She became an active member of the White Fang, loudly demanding Equality for and Faunus rights. There is another aspect to her character that I wish to speak with Saturn about.

How many insect-type Faunus are allowed? I got an idea for a grasshopper-type one.

I think it's ok. I wasn't allowed because my character was too similar to the one Saturn is using, which no one knew about. That, and something that happened in Next.

• Name: Jenazad Scharfzahn
• Codename: Grey Shark
• Gender: Male
• Age: 33
• Birthday: Novus 22
• Race: Lamprey Faunus
• Appearance: A tall, lanky white haired man with a stooped back and a lamprey mouth. He usually wears a medical mask over his face to prevent dirt and other things from entering his lipless mouth. His proportions are oddly stretched, as if he was made of overly used putty.
• Weapons and Equipment:
  • Agony and Ecstasy: Jenazad's signature weapons, these single-action revolvers contain different bullet payloads. Agony is a red snub nose with engravings of a rare poisonous vine across the barrel, loaded with bullets infused with a neurotoxin that causes hyper stimulation of nerves and temporary paralysis. Ecstasy is blue, has a lengthened barrel, and is engraved with depictions of various opiate plants across the grip. Its bullets are impregnated with high-potency opioids, which can put people out in a blissful rush.
  • Predation: A lasso made of high-strength materials, Predation is a barbed rope that Jenazad uses to bind and torture people.
  • Human Killer: A level-action rifle with a nasty twist, Human Killer has bullets loaded with a particular compound devised by Jenazad. The mix of deadly synthetic chemicals has a deadly allergenic effect on humans, with little to no effect on Faunus.
• Semblance: Parasite Perpetuation: Jenazad can feast on the blood of others to recover his own vitality. By attaching himself to somebody and drinking their blood, he can heal himself of any wounds and illnesses he might have, save for severed body parts. Once healed as much as his Semblance allows, he can even regain Aura if he continues draining blood from living beings.
• Expertise: Frontline combat, interrogation, marksmanship, medicine
• Personality: Jenazad, for lack of a better word, is scum. Slimy, sadistic, and generally unpleasant to be around, he is a consummate hunter of humans who takes an unhealthy pride in his work. To moderate Faunus, he is a pariah for his supremacist views. It seems that the only people he treats with anything close to civility are fellow extremists. A loner by nature, Jenazad spends his free concocting new drugs to improve his otherwise irritable mood.
• Bio: If there was ever a point where Jenazad didn't hate everybody around him, it would be in his youth. He never speaks of those days, because reflecting on them reminds him of what humans took from him. The hands that once healed now kill, poison, and degrade. Those who are weaker than him are his chief targets. But even though he is a pathetic shell of what he used to be, Jenazad isn't harmless by any means. Thoroughly corrupted by his hate and the fruits of his pharmaceutical knowledge, his savage cunning has only been sharpened with time. Sensing that his activities as a hunter of humans catching undue attention, he has joined the team in order to keep his freedom. While he hates that he is forced to work for the royalty he wants to cast down, ensuring that he lives long enough to see that day come is his top priority right now.

  • Save The Queen and Breed With Me, a pair of electricity-powered drill gloves, worn like knuckle bracers. When extended, the power steel grills can spin rapidly, as well as be used for sharp pierces and near-fatal electric shocks.
  • Mel can fly up to 30 MPH, as well as hover easily with her wings.
  • She has a large retractable stinger on her bottom, capable of completely stabbing through an average build human.
  • She has heightened senses thanks to her antennae. It gives her a special "Bee Sense" that allows her to pick up on incoming danger, as well as hostile people that mean to cause her harm or might be dangerous to her. She can also sense the shape, width, depth and size of intricate and complex objects, both large and small.
• She can also produce her own sweet honey...
• Semblance: Mel's semblance was a one-time use. It was actually the semblance of the Queen Bee in the colony, whose powerful aura allowed her and her entire colony to fuse with the body of a dead human girl and give her life, becoming one and taking over her mind.
• Expertise: Scouting
• Personality: Mel is bees, and as such, she thinks like bees. She is most concerned with survival over everything else. She cares about finding taste food and having a warm place to sleep. But, since she now has a human body, she has taken on some of their traits, such as having emotions and desires. These feelings confuse her greatly. Her most common trait is her curiosity about everything. She is smart, having had tutors, but she is extremely socially unaware when it comes to dealing with other people. She can be very blunt since she doesn't even know how to insult someone. The emotions she understands most are fear and pleasure. The ones that confuse her the most are love and anger. She sees herself as the hivemind of the colony, not as a person, and as such refers to herself as "We" and "Us" instead of "I" and "Me". She is extremely complacent and agreeable to those she does not deem as a threat.
• Bio: Mel, before she became a faunus, was a young girl attending Beacon Academy. She was extremely popular, considered to be funny, beautiful, have a great body and very talented among her peers and teachers. But in secret, this girl had many personal mental problems. She was constantly under stress, was a growing alcoholic and drug user, and she would go through fits of depression. One day, she ran away from school, and a constant search went underway for her body in the dangerous forests outside of Beacon. Her body was never found. It had been lost when she fell in a stream and drowned. Eventually, her body drifted down the river and into an open creek shore. At this time, a nearby huge colony of Bees were growing in power in the forest, and the aura of the Queen Bee grew and grew until eventually she left the colony and she and all the bees in the colony fused with the girl's body, bringing her back to life as the bees took over her brain with their hive mind. Having gained sentience and extremely confused and scared, she flew into the city and caused chaos. She was eventually taken in by the government, given the name Mel, latin for Honey, and kept a secret from the public and all but the most powerful, influential Hunters and government officials.
