Five Nights At Freddy's Adaptation

Yeah, even if it's bad, we can derive some fun out of it. If it's good, then that's great! The worst possible outcome would be for it to be mediocre and forgettable.

Of course, if it is a decent story that catches attention, whether or not the heyday of the games is past would be pretty much irrelevant.

It’s not like Tintin’s heyday being decades ago stopped Spielberg and Jackson.

I think the biggest thing going against this movie is that the plot of FNAF is... really difficult to base a movie on, owing to the series having a ton of Early-Installment Weirdness. That said, the basic horror angle is akin to something like The Grudge so as a simple horror flick it would probably work out.

They have not from what I've seen. He might not show up, he will probably be mentioned if they talk about the origins of Fazbear Entertainment.

Have Matpat cameo as some sort of detective character. Then if this gets a sequel, go back to that detective character and show how he's gone insane trying to find out the mysteries of Fazbear entertainment.

Oh man I think Mark and Matt should totally be in it. Their responsible for making five nights a huge thing in the first place. So it seems only fitting.

There will, apparently be a scene where Mike beats up some dude in a mall in front of said dude's kid

More seriously, the running theory is that in this version Mike was a mall cop who gets into a fight with this guy and loses his job. Wich is what results in him needing to work at Freddy's.

Though fans have already been meme-ing with this scene, and making up joke explainations like one I saw on Reddit. 'Michael when he sees someone wearing purple (clearly his father in disguise)'.

Some more updates. There is a character named 'Hank' in the movie, and people have theorized that this is Henry. As Hank is a nickname for Henry.

We also have a shot of one of the animatronics now, who is either Freddy or Fredbear. In a scene that takes place outside.

Also, there is this thing from October. It was a leaked synopsis for the film that seems accurate now, as it mentions Mike having a sister named Abby. It mentions Vanessa, who will be a police officer in the film. So they seem to be combining elements of the help wanted and post-help wanted eras for the film

Dawko, 8 bit Ryan, Razzbowski and Baz were invited to the set of the film and they even got to meet Cawthon himself. Taking some pictures with him.

For some more updates on the film itself, Vanessa being in the film has been confirmed. There has been a casting call for 'young Vanessa' in it, so we will also get flashbacks involving her. I think this film will thus mix up elements of the classic era with the Steel Wool era.

Yup. They seem to be having a good time too.

Dawko and 8-bit Ryan both made videos about their time on set.

And Dawko confirmed that Elizabeth Lail is playing Vanessa as was rumoured.

Crazy that this movie started production when the first games were coming out, and now it's incorporating modern lore and characters.

It's a smart move. This is mainly gonna be based around the early games...but sense those games, there's been a bunch of new fans who came in from the Steel wool era games.

Naturally, adding in atleast one familiar face from the Steel Wool era is a good idea.

Also the movie concludes filming today.

Big news today!

The movie now has an official release date. It will release this October 27 2023.
