Based on what I read from Reset ERA, the launch week sales of Wolfenstein II for Switch for the PAL region was less than the physical retail PC release during the initial launch week of the game in the same region, and Wolfenstein II had to deal with other juggernauts launching the same day including Super Mario Odyssey and Assassin's Creed Origins, wheras the Switch port really only had to deal with the Crash N. Sane trilogy port.
TL;DR: it bombed.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."UK retail Switch sales mean nothing.
Bethesda hasn't shot down the idea of the next DOOM and Wolfenstein coming to Switch, so probably not completely terrible.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.I'm talking about the PAL region, which includes both mainland Europe and UK for sales.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Give us North American figures. Bethesda probably cares about those more, plus Nintendo has a pretty strong grasp on the US market.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?According to the sales figures on Wikipedia, it's less than a year and a half old and is well on track to outselling the GameCube.
I got a copy at GameStop, and the gal said they were taken by surprise by how well it sold. So there's that.
tclittle: Yeah, but I'm guessing that most people who had it on PC didn't bother getting it again on Switch.
Oh, and PAL is everywhere but America and Japan.
Ukrainian Red CrossTo be fair, I don't think Wolfenstein 2 did all that well when it first came out on other consoles.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectSo the vets aren't getting new amiibo, then, just rereleases?
That's... kind of a relief. I'd hate to blow hundreds of dollars just to have the full set of new models.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! That's neat.
I don't think I'm missing any of the Smash set I actually want though.
Maybe I'll pick up a Toon Link. But that depends on availability.
"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobI pretty much have all the Smash amiibo I want, but I might pick up Mario and Bowser since I don't actually have them in any form. Maybe Fox too.
UK is not really a good measure for Nintendo sales.
Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life.Gyro aim coming to Fortnite. Based Epic remains based.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.Oh hell yes! After Splatoon dual stick aiming has become a pain.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Ho hum. Give me twin sticks over gyro controls any day.
Those were already there.
It's alright Raining. I don't hate you for having wrong opinions
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."I'll never understand the appeal behind gyro controls. Are people really that bad at traditional shooting? Gyro controls make the game utterly unplayable for me.
Traditional shooting, of course, being the one stick and four c-buttons setup, right?
Gyro controls are the closest a console will get to a mouse in terms of precision, once you get used to it.
A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.Speaking of which, I've been having some trouble aiming horizontally with gyro aim in Doom using the pro controller. Anyone have any settings they'd like to share that feel good? Right now I've got horizontal and vertical set to 40 and motion aiming at 95. I get that the nature of the pro controller means that I won't receive too much of the benefits of motion aiming on the x axis but I'll try out any other alternatives before I settle for what I have.
Well, until keyboards and mice become standard for consoles, of course.

Will the transhumanist future have catgirls? Does Japan still exist? Well, there is your answer. — UnknownWell, there is that Joy-Con keyboard controller for Dragon Quest X. All we need now is the Joy-Con mouse and we're good to go.
Keyboard and mouse seriously limit where you can play (especially for a portable device) and they're not the end all control system, seeing how they miss out of analog controls.
Honestly, I perform way better with gyro than I ever did with keyboard and mouse. Having what's essentially two sensitivity settings at the same time is a huge deal.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."I fail to see any benefit from such overly sensitive controls. They always make me perform much, much worse. I can't aim or move properly with gyro controls always being so obstructive. And this is coming from someone who mastered the pointer controls on the Wii. It's all just too shaky for me.
The only reason I could see developers not wanting to port their games onto the Switch is because the technically inferior hardware would result in the game not running well, but the Switch port of Doom (2016) already showed that such games can still be ported over reasonably well (albeit with some compromises).
Speaking of which, how well did Doom (2016) on Switch sell, and how is Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus on Switch doing? If they're selling well, that's more reason for developers to start jumping on the Switch.
This is not the greatest signature in the world, no... this is just a tribute.
