I've been running Xenoverse with my PS 3's internet connection disabled. Runs well in that condition.

I have a message from another time...

Yeah, the questionable-at-best servers are a glaring issue.

Also, fuck Parallel Quest 32. Fuck it with a rusty knife.

First Goten and Trunks, who both turn Super Saiyan at half health. Then Vegeta and Future Trunks, who start with Super Saiyan. And then Goku and Adult Gohan, who start with Super Saiyan.

Super Saiyan equals Ultimate Spam.

Tell me, do you know what it feels like to be wombo-combo'd by Kamehamehas? Because I do.

That one's Super Saiyan Bargain Sale.

First, you fight Gotenks and Trunks in the ROSAT. They're easy, as they only go SS late in the fight and don't fuse.

Then you go to the lookout and fight Vegeta and Future Trunks. They're tougher, as they love spamming ultimates, with Vegeta having a nasty tendency to snipe you with Final Flash while you're preoccupied, and Trunks to sneak up behind you while you're trying to deal with Vegeta. But they're not too bad, especially since Trunks's Heat Dome has such a small range.

And then you go to the Supreme Kai's World, and fight Goku and Gohan.

Whose entire strategy seems to consist of firing off Super Kamehamehas at you. While you're fighting one of them, while you're trying to escape a melee combo, while you're being hit by a Super Kamehameha and unable to escape. And they will time it to stagger the shots to keep you in the combo. Over and over and over until you're dead.

The mission demands you have partners, Fighting Pose K, or the Tien Z Soul that nullifies Kamehameha.

[up]It's not the only one like it either. There's at lest one more like it, where it's you alone vs. a gauntlet of 2 on 1 fights. So annoying, I guess you just have to keep grinding to make them easy enough to beat.

I kind of wish I hadn't chosen Frieza clan first, because apparently it's the most advanced and difficult to learn race. For those who don't know, they're basically the Fragile Speedster, and it seems the best way to use them is as melee strikers, rather than, say, beam spammers.

The complete lack of a training mode is a huge issue with this game. People suggest using a two-player battle, but I only have one controller and that solution is very flawed besides (mostly, the opponent eventually dies).

Also, I hate that you can't adjust the difficulty of offline battles, which scale with your level. Want a fight that's less difficult than "total curbstomp"? You're out of luck.

There is the short tutorial though.

Alternatively, just have a 1 v 1 fight with a Saibamen.

...I have yet to find a single forum with a list of player-created OC's. Why is that?

I've seen one tumblr post of some fan-created characters, anybody got a link to more?

So there's this mission where you are in Ginyu's body and have to infiltrate the ship and help Gohan and Krillin. How do I keep them from not dying?

You kill your opponents faster...

Seriously.

If you can't do that you're actually underleveled and should do some Parallel Quests to get up to par and then should be able to complete the mission easily.

Honestly I'm not sure, there's probably a guide somewhere online. It only partially depends on level honestly, it also partially what you dump your stats into, what moves you have, are you or are you not a saiyan with Super Saiyan Abilities (Which at this stage you're certainly not), what dragon soul is being used and then finally how good you are at the actual game. The only answer I can give is beat them faster then they can beat your allies. If you cannot do that, you can't reallocate your stats, and if you are already using moves you think are effective, the only thing you can do is level up. I don't know what level though, because so many other variables are involved.

The abilities are set since you play in Ginyu's body anyway. I did skill myself wrongly at first though since I didn't realize that female Sayans are different from male ones. :/

Well the dragonballs can reset your skill point allocation. You got to find them first though.

Yeah, that mission sucks. Unfortunately there really is no strategy for it other than level up until you can kill the mooks fast enough.

You get to keep your stats and level in that mission though.

Which is really nice.

Female Saiyans are better at Supers and Ultimates. Which isn't helpful when you're stuck with Ginyu's.

Mind, I think Milky Cannon is pretty good.

Finally arrived in the mail a few days ago. Really liking it so far.

Collecting skills from offline parallel quests is hard though. Are they just random drops or are they based on your performance?

Anti-cheating measures? What constitutes cheating in this game, Ultimate spams?

[up][up]I'm still not sure. I think it's based on performance mixed with a random element. Some moves and equipment you will only get if you defeat an enemy yourself (instead of the helpers doing the job) but you still won't get it always. And for some stuff (like super saiyajin) you need to defeat the bonus enemies in the quest.

[up]That sucks. I've been grinding away trying to get I'm the Strongest On Earth until I said 'screw it' and took Ginyu as my trainer (Vegeta's skills are nice, but his post-battle quotes are rarely encouraging).

If I go back to Krillin or Piccolo, will they have something new to teach me since my level is higher?

[lol] I had the same problem with Vegeta. Never got the thing he wanted. Though mine was "No one's stonger than me."

The masters friendship bar has to fill for them to teach you new things (viewable under options in their table). To fill it you have to either use their techniques or take them with you on quests.
