Help Me Find This Fanfic!

• This is not a guarantee. In fact, this is a selfish request that imploded on itself and became a slightly less selfish cause. YMMV, I'm not saying I or anyone else can find your fan fic, but a few additional eyes and ears can't hurt can it? Think of this as a "fic-finding bulletin board."
• Try to give some detail about the fic you're looking for:
  • "I'm looking for a Zelda fic it had zombies in it!" Not very helpful.
  • "I'm looking for a Zelda fic, it had zombies in it and it started with the line, "[insert something dramatic and deep here]." Still not very helpful. Sometimes you just can't remember that much from it, that's fine, but try to remember as much as you can.
• A method I find helpful when looking for a "lost" fic is to key in a phrase from it I know or something as close as possible, and Googling it. Occasionally, Google won't redirect you to Spacebattles or to a novel by some Canadian author you've never heard of on Google Book Results.

So with that jargon out of the way. There was a fanfic I remember, I think it was either in the RWBY or Naruto sections of FFNET.

The summary was clever. It was a short sentence, and told in the first person. It went something like:

That's all I can really remember. But I just thought that was funny and I should have bookmarked it and- Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda.

See, the "napkin" represents the "fan fiction summary character limit", which is about 250 characters. So they turned that into a visual, a character writing on a "napkin", or a tissue (wmg). The following chapters were written as though they were writing on larger scraps of paper, or in a journal.

Has anyone encountered a fic like that? It might just be the fic I was looking for!

Oh, and I guess others can use this thread to post descriptions of fics they might be looking for too. I guess.

Can we ask for non-specific fanfics? Or rather, are we supposed to ask about them here, or on the series' tread proper?

If you don't know what series it was from, post about it here. You could try the series thread, but maybe no one there knows, or the thread isn't active, etc. Post it here. A more 'dedicated' thread to searching/helping find fics. You might ask in the other thread for that series and everyone's busy talking about another fic.

I once WROTE a Zelda fic with zombies in it. Actually, a pair of ficlets under one fic heading that was possibly going to be a series of stupid humor pieces with Links across the eras becoming zombies one way or another... It was dumb, but fun to write.

Hmmm.... Now that I think about it, I wonder if anyone else knows of a fic in the Trigun fandom I haven't read in a long time that I think might be nice to revisit.

Fandom: Trigun

Worldset: Anime-universe, I believe.

Summary: A juxtaposition of Vash and Legato, exploring Vash's possible vices and the few virtues of Legato in playing with their respective hero and villain roles. The Seven Deadly Sins as committed by Vash and the Seven Heavenly Virtues as surprisingly done by Legato.

I think the title of it was "Criminals and Saints" or something like that. I have no idea who the author is.

It's a very old fic. I remember reading it back when I was still in the Trigun fandom something on the order of seven years ago.

As far as I am aware this is the most appropriate thread to post this.

I've been looking for an old Merlin fanfic called "The Circle of Sorcerers" which was deleted from FFN a few years ago. I haven't had any luck for the past year or so until now.

Today I found out someone archived every single fic off of the website over on Archive dot org (Don't think I can link directly to it).

It's divided alphabetically, but even then the file sizes are still gigantic. I needed to download 300K fics in a 5.6GB zip file to find the one I was looking for. But other people might find it helpful if you're looking for a fic you thought was Lost Forever.

Lately, I've been looking for a short fic in the Fire Emblem fandom that I know I've read, but cannot find anymore. It my have gotten deleted. I can't remember if it was on fanfiction dot net or Archive of Our Own... I don't know the title of it.

It was set in Awakening and was basically Libra sequestering himself in a church to pray and (male) Robin coming up on him to ask him some questions, touching Libra lightly and sending him into a panic. It wasn't a shipping-fic, it was more of "a character with a phobia for touch trying to deal with it." (In my opinion, it, like many fanfics about Libra exaggerated that character-trait, he "avoids human contact" according to one of the canon support conversations, but doesn't seem to be as touchy with other canon-supports as fanfics make him out to be, but I still found the fic interesting in exploring a fear and connections between friends / comrades).

That's all I know of the fic - it was short "Robin accidentally gives Libra a panic attack" was the plot, but I'd love to find it again.

I want to find at least one Jon Snow/Jeyne Poole fanfic. It's so fucking hard to find one where they are shipped! JUST ONE IS ALL IS ALL I ASK FOR!

It's a Zoro x Sanji fanfiction and I remember nearly everything. Sanji and Chopper (or Usopp) have been shopping but Sanji asks whoever he was with to return to the ship without him because he has a little erand to run. He goes to a shop that sells jewelry and request a engraved ring for Zoro. He has to pay in advance since he wants it engraved. Later that night or the next day he picks it up at the store, but some woman beat him up and steal it. Zoro is concerened when Sanji is all beat up but Sanji doesn't tell him anyting which makes Zoro suspicious. When he, Sanji, later at night goes to the motel where this woman is saying to get the ring back, Zoro follows him. When he sees her with that woman he think Sanji's cheating. Sanji also talks to this woman, she can do better and shouldn't steal. When Sanji later on returns with the ring, Zoro confronts him about the woman. Frustrated and hurt, Sanji throws the ring at him and says it was gonna be a surprise but he ruined everything. I don't remember how the engraving went but it had Marimo in it, and it might've been green. Sanji runs into town but Zoro follows him and they make up. The stay at a motel during the night, and after some sex Zoro has a gift for Sanji too, a ring. Sanji is really happy and that's that.

I've looked everywhere but I can not find it! Please help me!
