4 Oscars for Budapest, not bad.

Boyhood is the other big loser (in spite of the Secondary Actress Oscar).

Also, it's nice that Citizenfour won the Best Documentary. And Ida winning the Foreign Movie Oscar. Gotta watch that one, since it's one of those movies that doesn't play by conventional rules.

The Boyhood shutout was definitely surprising.

Can't wait to hear about the butthurt from Fox News over how political this year's Oscars got.

Did Interstellar win anything? I was only sporadically watching.

[up]It won for Best Special Effects.

I gotta say, I'm a bit peeved at all the Take That parts that this awards show is giving to superhero films.

Honestly, I find it more sad than anything since they're just preaching to their echo chamber. Because screw Audience Pleasing movies, because film is about True Art and Hollywood Politics.

I'm sure all of these are really good movies but looking at a list of what won I'm kind of annoyed that the academy seems to have made a collective decision to snub all the sci-fi and fantasy movies.

I still think that the only way to be truly enraged over the Lego Movie not getting nominated is by not really considering the other movies which did get a nod. I was routing for Song of the Sea, but I think other than the Boxtrolls I would have been okay with any of the other movies winning. I wouldn't have been okay with a win for the Lego movie.

I really wish Colbert Report was still on the air because Colbert would have had a field day with out politically charged the Speeches got.

I'm so ecstatic/jubilant that Boyhood and American Sniper won like, nothing. Props to Patricia Arquette for Best Supporting Actress though, that was alright.

It's kind of funny, now journalists are crediting Birdman's victory to it being a Take That! at all the Superhero films being released.

But honestly, I can't say I'm too surprised. 30 years ago, the same elite were blaming Steven Spielberg and George Lucas for "ruining" movies with their films.

On Bradley Cooper's snub.

I think it's fair to say that the Academy must not like movies with fake babies that dance to Jackson Five.

That doesn't surprise me. Though I recall most of the recent (2008 and beyond) shows averaged 37 million, with the 2011 and 2013 ones going above 40 million.
