Lena...laughed. Honestly just laughed at how utterly pathetic Nat's stunt was.

"Oh, shiznit. This is hilarious. Just...wow...this is the best you can come up with?"

She burst into giggles, grabbing Raggy's arm to keep from doubling over.

The ghost child glared at Connor and Dian with his bloody eyesockets.

   "Are you threatening me?!"   

The whole damn room started shaking, and the howls of damned souls could be heard.

Diana didn't really know what to say right now, so she crossed her arms and fidgeted, like she always did when she was nervous.

Why was socializing with a group so darn hard?

Ava shrugged. "Hell, you can deny all you want, it won't change facts. Girly is girly."

She frowned. "I can't do half that stuff. I'm just here to pig out."

Ao had to stop for a moment. Mefus hadn't lied to her after all. The evidence? This was actually working. She could trust Mefus, and it felt good too. She actually started to crack a tiny smile as she made her way up the rest of the ladder.

Iris and Morgan would soon make their way to the front of the line, with Halle likely right behind them. An empty gondola lied before the two bird girls, with the attendant opening the gate for them to get in. Iris then shakily walked forward and hopped in, sitting on the right side of the vehicle and making sure her arms, legs, and wings were inside.

"R-ready, Morgan?", she asked her date.

"Hangon, guys. I think you'll like this." Halle held up her two middle legs on each side. "Pop my legs off, I'll drop them off to get after the ride."

Dian turned to Connor, silently asking wether she should take the shot.

...Things had gone silent, with most of the booths making dull and barely noticeable noise. The human just lowered his head and staring at bow and arrow archery booth.

So why aren't you cheering the fox-girl on? Or talking to anyone else, for that matter? Oh, I see. You're going to try and vanish again.

...what, and make her lose her concentration? And I doubt Mefus or Diana want to talk. ...Ugh.

Looking rather annoyed, he picked up the bow, aimed for one of the targets and fired. ...Of course, considering he had no idea what was doing, the arrow just went flying up to the roof...bounced off and landed right on the bulls-eye.

...what...

Connor was nodding his head frantically in response to Dian, slowly reaching for Mors all the while.

Under his breath, Connor was muttering "Shoot the wee demonspawn, kill it."

"Um, sure!" Morgan said, walking over. "Do you want us to pull them off or slice them off or something else?"

"They'll pop out if you pull." Halle explained, reaching over to her hands to one leg and removing it partway as a demonstration. "Just need a little more pull, is all. Thought you guys would appreciate the opportunity as well."

Iris then grabbed onto one of Halle's legs, specifically the one she partially removed for demonstration, and pulled it out of it's socket.

"L-like this...?", she asked.

Dian shot an explosive fire bolt at the hellish child.

Raggy, for his part, was hopelessly confused on the whole situation. A part of him was definitely angry at Nat's antics, but Lena... all things considered, seemed to have fun.

He decided that it's her dance, just supporting her with his frame as he stayed silent.

When Ao got close enough the bell rang and she got her prize.

"Yay! Good job,"

She turned just to catch James hit the bullseye.

"Good shot! Now we need oh,"

Mefus turned,

"You should try a game Diana! Just pick one out than we can all get a prize. I'll do the Jacob's ladder now."

Halle's leg made a dull thunk as it shifted out. Halle helped the girls along in removing her other three legs, and set them down at the side of the ride. She swiveled her red cameras around to the ride operator. "I can get the next ride now, right?"

Ao got down from the ladder and grabbed her oversized teddy bear. She held it close to her partly because it was warm and partly because she genuinely appreciated Mefus' help just then.

...Still trying to figure out what had just happened and holding a large heart plush in his arms, James just glanced to the side, a slight shade of red.

"...I didn't really expect...I wasn't even trying to..."

He did his best to smile, though, especially since it looked like everyone else seemed to be having fun.

The Ferris Wheel operator arched an eyebrow at Halle, then nodded his head, and motioned for Morgan to get in the gondola that Iris was in to keep the line moving.

"C-come on, Morgan!", Iris said to her date.

Diana shook her head. "W-well, I'm...not really good at, um, this k-kind of thing. So, umm, I'll just watch...."

At that moment, they would hear the sound of drums and trumpets in the distance.

"A-ah. The Lover's Day Parade..."

Yeah, that arrow didn't even get a chance to hit the ghost child. Because he vanished into thin air. The floating coffin he was on fell to the ground with a loud crash.

Looking down at the plush heart he was holding, over at Diana and the ladder, he smiled.

"W-Well, you d-don't really need to do s-something like that. I mean, t-there's o-other booths that m-might be, um, l-less intimidating, maybe..." James quietly remarked, looking at the other options and a bit oblivious to the parade, his gaze turned towards stacked bottles and baseball.

...well, what's the worse that could happen...

Picking up the ball, he failed miserably as the ball spun through the air, missing the bottles completely...only to knock over the platform they were balancing on. Since that was technically a victory, he was handed a small fluffy rabbit plush. Shaking his head in disbelieve and turning to Diana, the human seemed a bit surprised.

"...wait, there's a parade as well...?"

Nat glared at Lena as the girl laughed. She clenched her shorts in her fist, getting angry. But then she smirked.

"No, this isn't the best I can do."

She ran over, sliding under Lena, her camera pointed right up between her legs, and a few quick flashes of light lit up the dark area for a few seconds, before Nat disappeared back into the shadows.

"It's Phase 1."

"Sure!" she said nodding at Tezca. "Let's check it out!"

Lena had a deadpan look on her face. Semblance activated, the princess drew her pistol and shot the camera dead center.

"....Right. You should really think things through, Nat."

Diana smiled at James. "No...umm...I'm no good at games. P-please just have fun."

...And then a running person bumped right into James.

"W-Well, it doesn't h-hurt to try, r-right? I mean, you might actually f-find something you're g-good at and hav-"

The young man is cut short by the collision and stumbles backwards and crashing to the ground, dropping the rabbit and heart plush while his glasses land nearby.

"...ow...what's the...big idea...?"

A curt "Sorry." came from the person who bumped into James. She helped James up and was about to walk away when Diana recognized her.

The cat faunus gasped in surprise, eyes wide. "Queen Alice?!"

The Queen sighed. "Don't. I'm trying to get away from the parade. Bloody waste of time..."

The Queen was dressed rather casually, red hair practically tied up in a ponytail. A lighted cigarette was in her mouth.

Picking up his glasses and avoiding eye contact until putting his glasses back on, giving a numb 'It's fine' in reply before Diana's outburst caused him to just look away.

"...and why do you say that...? ...it's noisy, I'll say that...but don't you have someone to be spending the...festival with?"

Croire kept his voice quiet and monotone. Although whether it was him playing along to keep the Queen's disguise and attention away or him still being somewhat uneasy around the nobles was hard to say.

"...sorry..."
