Tempestas 7, Saturday, Year 13 of Queen Alice's Reign, Vale Skydocks

It was the day many young people were waiting for. It was the first day of the school year. Now, this was not usually a cause for celebration, but here in the Kingdom of Vale, this particular school was something....different.

Beacon Academy, the legendary school famed for producing mighty Huntsmen and Huntresses.

This year's new Initiates were boarding the great airship that would take them to the school...and to their destiny.

....Wow, that sounded so dramatic. She was starting to think like Raggy. That was a scary thought.

Her name was Lena. Princess Relena Hope Vale, only daughter of the Queen's sister, Alexia.

You might have heard of her. Lioness of Vale, famed Huntress..but whatever, to Lena she was just mum.

And right now, she was being as mum as she could be.

"...And listen to your brother. ...Actually, scratch that. Make him listen to you. Don't get into trouble. Wear clean-."

"Mum." interrupted Lena, flushing bright red. Her dad then scolded her mum for being so dramatic (the hypocrite), and gave her that smile he saved just for her.

"...Just be careful, okay?" said Mum, who looked like she was going to cry.

Ah, Dust. Now Lena was crying too. She embraced her parents. "I'll be fine, guys! I'll write every day. ...Dad, keep Boss Lady from worrying, okay?"

...She was going to Beacon. Beacon. Finally. She dreamed about it for so long. The excitement, the adventure!

Nothing could bring her down now!

"Time to go, milady."

...Except him. Ugh, Harry. Dad, the big overprotective jerk, had forced her to take him with her.

Honestly, it was humiliating. Who brings a butler to Beacon?

Sighing, she said one final goodbye to her parents and had Harry carry her bags. Hey, might as well make him useful.

"...Let's roll. Harry, don't do anything embarrassing."

"Lexi!" A tall man, built like a brick house walked over, hugging Lexi, it was Jack Reisentoter, the current leader of the wild hunt, he grinned, being. "How's it going?"

Behind him was a slender girl not much shorter than he was, her tail trailing back and forth as she tapped her clawed foot to the sound of whatever was on her ipod.

New Generation

The ever-timid Iris Aurion was being walked to the Airship by her loving father Stormer. She looked quite nervous at being surrounded by so many new and unfamiliar faces. Stormer was holding his daughter's hand as they finally approached the airship.

"W...well, I think this is it, dad.", young Iris said to her father.

"Certainly does look like it. Don't worry, dear, you'll be fine.", her father reassured her.

"But, what if they don't like me...?", she asked.

"Oh, fret not. You'll definitely find someone here.", he said.

"Are you sure, dad?", Iris said.

"Absolutely. I know you can do this. You'll become a fine Huntress at Beacon."

"Okay...I'll try my best.", she said.

"Oooooooh dust I can'tbelieve today is finally the day! Bacoooooon!"

Pause. A nervous laugh. A growling stomach.

"Uh. I mean Beacon..."

The young cat faunus ran excitedly ahead of her family, taking in the sights. Sure she had seen them before, but today was just so... Special.

"Not five seconds and she's already off doing her own thing. Typical." Remus said with a laugh. He walked up to Jack and Alexia with smile on his face.

"Jack. Lexi. Been a while."

Airship

Tezca Atzuhi sat by the window, watching some of the initiates say their goodbyes. He smiled, thinking back to when he said farewell to his family and tribe before boarding the airship to Vale. I will work hard to ensure I return a Hunter!

Tezca's feline ears twitched at the sound of footsteps, and he glanced back to see who would be joining him on the airship.

Stormer and Iris had then walked forward to the airship. They then caught sight of Alexia, Jack, and Remus, and Stormer walked with his daughter to meet his old classmates.

"Lexi! Jack! Remus! It's been so long!", Stormer said.

"Dad, who are these people?", Iris asked.

"Just some old friends of mine, Iris.", he replied.

"And don't you worry dear, I'll be perfectly alright without you here. Danny will keep me plenty of company."

Scarlet wiggled her eyebrows at the screen. "Well mother, I had no idea you two had gotten so close."

"I..You....Oh, young lady!."

Scarlet let out a deep-throated laugh and grinned cheekily at the screen. "Alright Mom, We're lifting off soon so I got to go load up my baby. I promise I'll message lots."

After a brief goodbye Scarlet wheeled Cycle of Vengeance over to the over-sized luggage area and they gave her a receipt for the bike, after five minutes of menacing glaring at the porters.

She swaggered over towards the loading ramp and noticed quite a few parents of other kids who seemed to know each other. Great, I'm already coming into this place as the outsider. Ain't that special?

Amy was almost sure she had everything. Her clothes, her books, her dice, toiletries. Yes that was everyting. Mom was silly to worry.

"Amy dear are you sure you packed everything?" her mother said wings twitching. It was almost as if she could read her mind sometimes.

"Yes I've got everything Mom." she said wagging her tail. "I'll be fine. I've got this. I'm a people Faunus you know." she said jokingly.

"A lot different when what I was like at your age..." her mother mused. "But I'm sure you'll have a great time. Just be yourself OK?"

"Since when am I ever NOT myself!" the wolf Faunus said. "What else can I be mom?"

"That's my girl." Silvia Irving said as she patted her daughter on the head.

Amtheyst Irving-Woods tail was wagging as she entered the airship. She looked around and in absense of Suzune she sat down next to a follow Faunus with feline features.

Holy Shiznit! That guy is buff! thought Lena in alarm. But apparently, Mum knew him as she returned the hug. Dad looked like he was about to punch the guy.

"Jack! It's been so long! Oh, Sir Remus-!"

Ah, Lena recognized these ones. Uncle Wolfy and Aunt Kitty. Aunt Kitty, Chelsea Violet, smiled at Lena while Diana shyly hid behind her.

"Yo. Sel going to Beacon too?" asked Lena.

Then, another new guy! Wait, yeah. This guy was Dad's replacement partner. She recognized him.

"Yo, Mister Stormer." she greeted.

Natasha Lei didn't need her parents to drive her to the airship site. She took a bus. But not really. She didn't really pay for ticket, and sit in a bus seat. She hitched a right on the top of the bus. That was much more her style.

But then again, Style was her style. Every move, every wink of the eye, her pose was carefully planned in her mind to be as slick, elegant and cool as possible. She flipped off the bus once it passed by the site in front of the airship, landing on ground with a spin and skid, grabbing her luggage with her as she went down. The bus passed on as if it didn't even know she was there.

She was wearing her special skates. Her most prized possessions. The coolest accessory in the whole world, as far as she was concerned. Nat would definitely stand out. She made sure of it. Her wardrobe clearly was meant to be seen. She was wearing a light brown leopard skin dress with black fishnet stockings, and a visible black bra underneath for matching sexiness. She was also rocking her brown Aviators.◊ She flicked them off casually, surveying the ship and the other students with a smirk.

This was it. She was going into Beacon. She didn't really care about being a great Hunter or anything like that. She just wanted fame. She was going to make sure everyone would remember her name. She pulled out her little mini-recorder, her video camera that would suffice until she got her official student Scroll, and started to film her surroundings, scouting for potential figures of interest.

She spotted Lena, and zoomed all the way in on her body, letting the camera get a real good look at her.

Lena probably wouldn't remember, and Nat sure didn't, but the two girls knew each other from when they were just little girls, splashing around naked in the kiddie pool. After that, they didn't get along. They haven't seen each other for years. Nat sure didn't realize it was her at this point.

"And you must be Lexi and Alfred's little girl.", Stormer replied. "Man, do I have stories to tell about the times your father and I had to work together..."

Iris then shyly walked forward to meet Lena and the other teens. "H..hi. My name's Iris."

Airship

Tezca gave a friendly smile to the Wolf Faunus sitting next to him. "Hi there. You looking forward to studying at Beacon?" He asked, trying to be friendly.

"Totally!" she said. "Got all my books, polished my weapon like 30 times, did my homework on Grimm" she said enthusiastically.

"Ahaha, you certainly sound like you're prepared." Tezca chuckled good-naturedly, before extending a hand out for her to shake. "I'm Tezca Atzuhi. Nice to meet you." He introduced himself.

"Amethyst Irving-Hood." she said. "So what are you into Tezca?"

Unlike most showing up at the Airship, Suzune's mom was no where to be seen, the only things that she had with her were her bags, and a giant block of metal that seemed to stick to her back despite nothing holding it there. This did not however deter her in the slightest from looking as excited and ready to go as every one else, in fact she looked more excited then some of the people there. This was her chance to get away from and be free from her parents, to have a good time, and enjoy her synthetic life, something she felt they did not understand.

"Suzune!" Amy shouted happily tail wagging. "Good to see you Sis! Wanna sit in this row?" she asked.

"You know it, Lena!" Selene said in response to Relena's question. She then addressed Iris, looking her up and down as her ears twitched. "Nice to meetcha Iris. I'm Selene. Selene Violet."

"...She wouldn't shut up about it. I couldn't get to sleep." said Diana quietly.

Lena snorted. "Sounds like her."

She then answered Stormer. "...Ya, that's me. I'm Lena. Dad called you an idiot a lot. The most reliable idiot, he said."

"Relena!" scolded Mum.

She shrugged. "It's what he said. Yo, Iris, right? Name's Lena."

"Sure~" The young woman confirmed in a sing song voice finding a seat next to Amy. "Heading to Beacon as well huh?"

"Yes! Of course! I've been training for it for years. Also Nat's here. Hi Nat!" she said waving at her.

"Oh boo, Diana. No need to be cranky just because you didn't get your catnap." Selene replied to her sister.

"Hey now you two. Don't go fighting here."

"Sooorry papa. Whelp. I'm gonna board now. Bye sis." She gave Diana a hug before doing the same for her parents, mentioning that she'll of course write to them.

"Byeeeeee everyone!" Selene called out one last time before stepping on the airship.

"And here we are." She said proudly, only for her stomach to let out a very audible growl.

"Ehehehehe."

Drop off

"...And I want you to be careful and respectful of your peers." Ieria said as she finished handing Marvin Lee his luggage and equipment, well, the carry on parts at least. "I told all your siblings this, but these are the children of my friends, so you must remember to get along with them as best as you can." She said with her regular slim smile.

"I will mom, don't worry. Tell Dad I'll miss him, and the rest of them." Marvin Lee replied with his own smile as he slipped the luggage onto his frame. "I love you, and I'll be seeing you soon." He told her, giving her a last kiss and hug before he headed off to the loading ramp himself. The image of a red headed girl caught his eye, causing him to stop in his tracks. Thinking this could be the start of a great friendship, he makes his way to her, a warm smile on his face. "Hey there, how's it going?" he asks her, trying to be as friendly as possible.

Parents

"I see you all have not changed." Ieria said as she made her way to them, her swollen stomach partially hidden through her clothing, but it was still easy to spot. She smiled that same friendly smile to them all as she gave a bow to Alexia. "Your Majesty, I did not expect to see you here as well."

Scarlet was already of a quarter of the way up the loading ramp when the boy approached her. She turned and appraised him with an eyebrow raised. "Huh? What, are you talking to me flower child?" She asked. Her flame-colored eyes flickered over his form looking for weapons or the like.

"Well, I'm off. Bye, you all. Bye, Boss Lady, Old Man." said Lena, dragging Harry off into the airship.

"Milady! Do you wish for me to screen possible friends?" asked Harry seriously.

"...No. Shut up, Harry." groaned Lena, facepalming. She found a seat next to Selene. "....Argh. This is dumb."

Alexia smiled at Ieria. "Hey, no need for that. I'm not even queen..."

"Number twenty four?"
