The Mystery Dungeon remake footage showed a Mega Evolution, so at least we know there are some new things. Whether this includes Pokemon from later generations is probably something we'll find out later on when there are more trailers and screenshots.
There was a brief glimpse of Lucario.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Considering how the ultimate rescue team rank in the originals was Lucario Rank, I find that fitting.
SoundCloudI do remember that Red and Blue Rescue Team had some cameos by Gen 4 Pokémon that got early reveals, as DP were still about a year away in Japan (closer to half a year for the US releases).
Wouldn't surprise me if they decided to fully include them in DX, or slip in some more post Gen 3 'mons...
Will the transhumanist future have catgirls? Does Japan still exist? Well, there is your answer. — Unknown35 minute smash DLC Direct on January 16th at 6 am.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."That's 2pm GMT.
Ukrainian Red CrossIt appears that is 8am for me.
Though I have to be up by that time anyways, so I can watch it live.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Ah, it's not a Direct per se, it's a Smash reveal. Okay, had been confused on that point. Thanks for posting it here.
I had already taken the day off for unrelated reasons. Nice.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. This is good to know, though between it and the Pokemon Direct makes me worry we aren't getting a general Nintendo Direct to show off new games anytime soon.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Wait for February, I'd say.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Unless Nintendo surprises us next week, it's very unlikely we're going to see a Direct before January is over. My best guess would likely be February 13th for the next Direct as the three past February multi-region general Directs have been in the second week.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."I'm going to throw this out before the Smash Direct links, it is quite possible we could see an Animal Crossing Direct this month.
Too many swordsmen, are there?
Sothis's expression here is absolutely going to become a meme◊
Same with "Byleth recruits Byleth".
We knew he would be of course.
One of the things I always look forward to when a new Smash character is announced is the Kirby costume that comes with them. Aw, he really is adorable.
The main protagonist from the Puyo Puyo puzzle games. (I mean there's other protags like Ringo, but whatever. )

Looks like an assist trophy.
Also I missed the show afterward, did Sakurai really count in binary?
Yes, he did, and devoted a whole part of the Direct to teaching us how to count in binary on our hands.
That was the Sakurai troll this video, not the character.

A verdict has now been reached, and Nintendo has won the case. The German courts determined that not allowing cancellation of pre-orders is legal. Although the decision has been appealed, there may not be movement with the case for up to a year and a half.
Once a game has been pre-loaded from the eShop, consumers are unable to cancel that purchase. Even if the game hasn’t been released, you’re still required to follow through on that order. This was thought to be in violation of Norwegian and European law, but the courts thought otherwise in this case.
Since I managed to get myself a well paying job, I can actually afford to buy the expansion packs for both games. Definitely looking forward to this and the MD remake! They're already bringing back some of my favorite Pokemon, so I'm totally cool with this! Which does make me wonder...will the Mystery Dungeon game feature all Pokemon, or just Gens 1-3, since the original came out when Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald were popular?
