Development on Metroid Prime 4 has been restarted under Retro Studios. So we shouldn’t expect to see that in the near future.
Well, they've certainly been Direct with us this month.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences. Here's Shinya Takahashi personally apologising.
Good on Nintendo for taking the time to make the game good instead of getting it out on time come Hell or high water.
It's looking like there won't be a Direct this month; my guess is they'll do one on the day Piranha Plant is added to Smash Bros,
Ukrainian Red CrossI can't complain about this. I'll gladly take a delayed Prime 4 worked on by Retro Studios over an on-time Prime 4 worked on by anybody else.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! We got a Direct a week after the 2015 Breath of the Wild delay. We'll be getting one next week or the week after that (not sure how the investor meeting factors into it). Just needed to get the bad news out of the way first.
So that apology room has been used for Federation Force reveal, Breath of the Wild delay, and Prime 4 delay. Wonder what will be next.

PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyOr Pikmin 4. That one's kinda worse because it's the second time Miyamoto has offhandedly mentioned they're making a new Pikmin with no other concrete info until years later, lol.
Arlo actually put up a video detailing the timeline regarding Pikmin 4.
TL;DR: The timing on that line from Miyamoto was likely referencing Hey! Pikmin
As for MP 4, not much to say other than I think Trilogy was likely intended to be a VGA reveal, but the reveal was delayed because of the cancellation (which likely happened right around that timeframe), and leaker's sources were out of the loop regarding it, and the first Direct was likely delayed because of this as well, likely because of Trilogy, or maybe Nintendo was planning back late last year to have MP 4 and Trilogy in this Direct. Are we still holding out for a Direct next week? I just got notified that Smash is supposed to be updated to version 2.0.0 next week, which could mean something.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Have they ever timed Directs with balance patches before? If anything, that would be a counter-indicator to me. They would want to have a Direct before 2.0.0 if they were going to talk about it.
My point was that they would probably have to have a Direct next week before the patch drops.
Sorry if I wasn't clear there.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? It's interesting that it's 2.0 and not a . something or other. It might have more than just balance changes if they're advancing the game's version by a whole number.
A Direct is likely next week, but has a lower chance because of Nintendo's fiscal report coming out next week on the 31st.
I suspect the greatest chance for a Direct is the first full week of February, likely the 7th.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Unless they randomly decided to put the direct on any day other than Thursday.
Not sure how Tuesday will work out considering that's when Kingdom Hearts III will be released internationally. If a Direct happens, it will probably be on Wednesday.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Hashil: Probably infrastructure for Piranha Plant, and a major balance patch.
Why, exactly, would Nintendo care about a game that’s not coming out on their system?

They might also try fixing the online.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Even if its not coming out on their system it's a major release where people aren't buying a Nintendo game and that's Nintendo's problem so they need to have a game to compete with it's release if they want to attract buyers
New theme music also a boxThey wouldn't want all the press from another game drowning out their announcement.

I'm confused. You're saying they're not going to put out a Direct next week because they don't have a game to compete with Kingdom Hearts?
None of a game's press comes on launch day. And even if it did, that's not how you handle a competing product; you compete with it. And announcements and game launches aren't the same thing anyway.
Like, there's room for more than one thing per news cycle.
The only relevance KH3 has to Nintendo right now is that they were willing to offer up Prime 4 as a sacrifice as the game revealed way too early, allowing one of Square's games to finally escape the curse.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.Clearly they're going to announce Sora for Smash.
This song needs more love. You mean Geno.
> I'm confused. You're saying they're not going to put out a Direct next week because they don't have a game to compete with Kingdom Hearts?
I never said that, what i said is that a major release like Kingdom Hearts means there's increased focus on buying games for their competitors's consoles, which if your name is Nintendo it isn't good news
New theme music also a box
> Perfect place to announce Sans for Smash.
thats not how you spell Flowery
