Capture Creatures

Talk about this little project that could from Frank Gibson and Becky Driestadt.

To be honest, I haven't really read it since I kinda don't have the money for it.

But the page is still here, so anyone who actually read it can add to it.

Without more ado, discuss.

this is a really adorable pokemon ripoff.

I know, right? I've only read a few previews and already I want to see it be made into a miniseries or something on Cartoon Network.

Also, no disrespect, but "ripoff" is not the preferred nomenclature IMO. I prefer "homage" if it's all the same to you.

I've seen it in stores, glanced at it, but I've remained apprehensive about actually getting it thus far. Can someone give me a lowdown and try to convince me that it's actually worth the investment of $3/4 an issue?

Well, it has a trope page now.

And the main hook of the story is that the heroes are trying to figure out where the monsters came from, not to be a master.

Yeah, but the thing is that the page is still pretty new, so there aren't a lot of tropes right now.

There's also the fact that I kinda don't have any of the issues from the comic, so that's why I was encouraging any tropers who actually are reading the story thus far to add to the tropes page.

Pokemon and Digimon. Two series I've become disillusioned with...

Well I still play Pokemon Black And White honestly, I fired up my DS today even. But I've had no interest in anything the series has made since those two, except the Mystery Dungeon spinoffs, which are more Rogue Like than mon.

I will admit if I was doing a comic, I probably would do it about mons, though I don't think I'd go the "capture" route. At least not in Pokemon sense. Monster of the Week(month?) I could get behind.
