Also good we finally got a memember of the Deadlock faction plus another villain unrelated to Talon.

She adds to the word-building.

She definitely looks like an good DPS for me since I have been playing Ana a lot more recently.

Love her design too along with Bob. Getting an big Vampire Hunter vibe with her design. I can't wait to see what they do with Echo

No, they have been around since the start. Mc Cree used to be one in the past, you even see a picture of him with Ashe when they both were younger.

We just haven't gotten any idea of how Deadlock operates until now.

Although having a badass lady as the leader of a criminal gang seems like a repeat of the Junker Queen.

I hope Echo is the hero we get after Ashe.

If it helps much those people are getting some backlash from other folks that use tumblr as well.

As long as they don't harm anyone I am fine with it anyways.

At a certain point it all just becomes complaining & white noise.

You never want to cross that line.

I lik Ashe and her design but it’s still yet another white female, so I can do both, ha.

So there is an interview Emongg had on a stream with Jeff. He said that Ashe wasn't supposed to be hero 29 but when they were developing Reunion, they fell in love with her character and decided to make her playable.

He also said that the next 6 heroes are all set and being developed. Jeezums, we can infer that Echo is one of them.

Also, on the other side of complaints, some are mad we are getting another female hero.

She just seems like a fun hero to me and seems very gothy so. Good fit for me.

I love Sombra but never liked playing her sadly as she has the Team Fortress 2 Spy problem of being an invis hero that is trash unless your godlike with her or have a team that works well with you.

The incels never let up don't they?

I personally would love to see an native american or first nations hero though in the future after Echo.

Pharah's half, although she definitely seems to identify more with the other side of her heritage. Maybe she has a half-brother or something that will become playable one day, lady needs more lore and I do love the idea of her being the crux of a Badass Family.

On Ashe; I can see why Blizzard fell in love with her. They definitely seem to be fans of the type of woman that will step on you.

So an interesting theory about Echo I have been seeing pop up.

Echo might not actually be an omnic or an AI at all but instead be a brain scan of someone from the original Overwatch that died. And you know who of the original team that we have not heard about?

Liao. Echo may actually be an echo of Liao who Mc Cree decided to hookup into an new body. The body itself now I look at it more looks a lot like something Vishkar would come up with rather then an specifically designed body.

I really hope Blizz explores her more.

When Ashe started talking I immediately started thinking "why the hell is Commander Shepard suddenly Southern," followed immediately by "Yes please step on me."

Renegade Shep decided to stop saving the galaxy, and start her own gang. With blackjack. And butlers.

Ashe is just really generic. She doesn't subvert expectations or put any new kind of twist on the archetype. Jennifer Hale has basically been playing this exact same kind of character for like 25 years, even to the point people bring her in to voice parody of it.

I wont engage the race issue because it will go nowhere good, or 'sameface' because it's a stupid argument, but Ashe is also visually generic with no distinct fashion or style of her own. A cowboy in a stetson and duster. How original. Mc Cree himself got a pass because he was THE cowboy in cast of people with a distinct sci-fi flare who were dissimilar.

Jeff said himself, she wasn't originally planned as a hero, and it shows IMO. She's definitely the weakest concept they've gone with.
