Yeah, if you have an uncontrollable ability to set fire to anything or anyone you look at for too long, you've got much bigger things to worry about.
It's like Cyclops from X-Men, who has deadly eyebeams he can't turn off. And he at least has the ruby quartz glasses and visor to block them.
Disgusted, but not surprisedBut to get the real root, it's not like most people use their Quirks in whatever jobs they have. Most Quirks aren't that big a deal.
You can find uses for things and stuff (that's been pointed out for electric types), but that you can get a license to use a certain type of Quirk for a certain type of field doesn't necessarily imply everyone in that field uses their Quirk for work.
I see.
"Just because one can, it doesn't equal that they should" regarding using a quirk, huh?
Like owning a gun and just let it stay in its sealed safety case under one's bed at home.
Yeah, I'm sure there are some cases where a person's quirk probably gets in the way of their dream job (I'd hope Cementoss didn't aspire to be a ballet dancer or anything), but given that the majority of quirks are incredibly weak and/or minor, it probably doesn't happen extremely often.
Reaction Image RepositoryI believe that mutant-types has the biggest issue with "quirks getting in the way" than the others... (When the mutation in itself is the quirk.)
Besides, people with uncontrollable quirks probably are given a fix equipment for it at the earliest age possible. Didn't Aoyama say he has his belt for as long as he can remember?
I want to see class 1-A go wild with their quirks while playing some manner of sports ball
Superpower baseball and sometimes flag football is a staple of X Men downtime and it'd be neat to see that for bnha
Forever liveblogging the AvengersYes something like that
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThat's a lot of red cards.
Speaking of sports...
I wonder if any new sports might have been created at the outbreak of quirks during these last...centuries?
Is that a possibility?
I think the issue is that quirks are too diverse to standardise for the purpose of sports.
Billions of quirks in existence and yet not enough similar ones to even make two teams of a quirk-based sport?
I don't want to see it standardized. I want zany confusing chaos.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersMore that making a contest just about "who has a Quirk most suited to this" is boring?
And, yeah, you could say it's sort of like that in real life, but nothing as extreme as it would be.
Great point!
The challenge would be for the players to come up with creative ways to use their quirks to bring their team to victory!
Now to the rules...

Honestly I think the way to do it would be to have team sports... but the teams aren't standardized. Each player has individual stats that track over a "season", but they're constantly shuffled between teams so each game is different.
Either that or the sport would have to be something like a decathelon, where it's made up of enough different events that a single quirk wouldn't give you a massive advantage across the board.
Reaction Image RepositoryAt this point we're pretty much just describing the UA Sports Festival made into a professional sports league.
And the problem with that would be?
My various fanfics. No real problem, though it's doesn't sound like it's an actual thing. Well, at least not in Japan.
Sports being too boring once people have superpowers would explain why the market for hero memorabilia is so huge.
Oh lol latest chapter of Vigilantes is full of Ho Yay between All Might and Tsukauchi.
First All Might got all upset over Tsukauchi getting injured from his job. Then he gave him souvenirs of soap and bath salts (granted, it was actually for Makoto, but, still...). Then the siblings had a fight, so Tsukauchi used the gifts himself. Then everyone he met the following day teased him for his good smell and asked whether he found a girlfriend, to which he responded with big blushes.
Chapter's out.
I don't imagine many seriously dream about being lifeguards.
More seriously, if this person were to ignite anything they stared at, they have bigger problems than not being able to be a lifeguard. That just sounds like a massive safety hazard and burden to live with.
