I dont think most spies make a habit of pretending to be spies for one country, while secretly spying for another.

The exact terminolgy doesn't matter that much, it is just a comment on why people were saying "triple". Double agent is simpler though and everyone knows what it means.

People are going to be floored when they find out who fails the License exam.

As Sero put it: "Our Top 2 failed?"

Though I guess from a chracter development and ficus point, it might not be that hard to figure out. The bigger surprise will be that it's only them who failed.

I wonder if Shouto would have passed if Inasa didn't start bickering with him

The opening plus the newest episode spoils who fails too, after all the two are the only ones stand with their back towards the camera at the end of the OP, and the the two who decide to go their own way during the combat test.

Even so, I haven't seen any anime-onlys guess the correct answer yet.

[up][up]It seems pretty clear that as the only reason he and Inasa didn't pass.

I just saw someone post his predictions, and the two failures were in the pass list.

People will be surprised that only those two flunk out though since I think some expected some others to flop.

It's pretty fun.cool

To be fair, that person was talking about passing or flunking the first stage. Well, actually, I'm not sure if they even mentioned there would be a second stage yet.

On the whole "who is the spy" thing, an idea I've seen broached before is let us see things through the spy's own eyes for a little bit before the other characters find out.

We suddenly find we're looking at things through their perspective, their thoughts on the classmates/students (depending on if they're a student or faculty), U.A. what it means to be a hero, and slowly build up to it in a way that makes us go like "Okay this is nice but a bit out of nowhere, wait this seems to be going somewhere, wait does this mean what I think it means..." etc.

Maybe something like that wouldn't work because this story is being narrated by Izuku, but you get the idea.

Is Aoyama still considered for being the traitor? Or is it confirmed a Red Herring?

Because the chapters that featured him all very ominous didn't really reveal much of his backstory.

I don't even know if you can call that a Red Herring, but no, we have no reason to think he's the spy.

We didn't get much of his backstory but we got many hidden dephts (I.e. the backstory isn't necessary), and some rewatch bonuses

We don't know most of their backstories, I assume because for the most part they're pretty boring.

With an exception or two, these are all normal kids, who can be assumed to have been living pretty normal lives until getting into U.A.

Another thought occurred to me.

If Toga somehow got some blood from Hagakure, would she also be invisible or would it show Toru if she didn't have her quirk activated?

That's a fairly interesting question, but it assumes "Toru with her Quirk turned off" is an option, and that hasn't been made totally clear.

Twice narrated his own chapter, if I remember correctly, so it's entirely within the realm of possibility.

Oh, I forgot about that.

Speaking of the League it sounds like they have at least one new member we don't know yet. And it's the person with the Quirk AFO took, which makes it even weirder. I wonder...have they somehow found a way to return Quirks stolen by AFO to make use of them again or something?

That or it's someone related to that original user who's not so unscrupulous they won't work for All For One.

Also a distinct possibility. It's just curious because something must be going on if not only they can keep making nomus, but they can create something as high end as High-End.

Not that we knew the exact details of how they were made to begin with, but still.

Maybe All For One did pass his Quirk on to someone else before he fought All Might. He just didn't pass on any of his other Quirks.

Would certainly put a new spin on that flashback of "Oh, sure, I'll give Ragdoll her power back, I just have to use my quirk to do it."

At the very least the League now has a teleporter again after Kurogiri's capture.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."

Which may have factored in to Kurogiri's decision to seek out Gigantomachia. Even if he's captured, the League still has some way to warp, albeit more limited.
