Wearing a mask doesn't actually protect you from the virus, it just prevents you from infecting others.

Same.

Masks offer some degree of protection (but you'd also have to protect your eyes; those drain into your nose), and they are also excellent at stoping you from spreading the virus.

Japan took its sweet time stablishing the work from home policy; hope it doesn't harm them.

Japan still has a bunch of analog devices they use in offices from the 60's and 70s and stuff. Its probably gonna be a wake up call for them to fully digitize their work, now.

Vigilantes chapter out

So Knuckleduster took on AFO and got his quirk swiped from him directly. The bees also have the power to kill Pop from the inside, unless Koichi does something illegal and dangerous before the police and heroes get involved.

Welp, there’s a good reminder that I need to get back to reading Vigilantes...I’m so used to 15-page chapters now that chapters that are double the length are a bit challenging for my short attention span, lol.

Just finished Chapter 5 and there’s already a “we didn’t know the chaos that was to come” stinger. I’m into it. Only 70 more chapters to go.

I don't think I ever asked this but; you guys think we'll ever get a rematch between Bakugo and Todoroki? The former is still pretty pissy about the latter throwing their match from the Sports Festival. And imagine his ego boost if he beats the son of the top dog.

They might spar against one another during training or something, but I don't see Todoroki taking it as an uber serious rematch riding off the Sports Festival. Todoroki doesn't really care about beating Bakugo, nor does he tie his own worth or strength to being better than his peers. He's got way more important emotional issues to work through.

As for Bakugo, he'd want Todoroki to go all-out in any spar they had, of course, but he's also starting to get past his obsession with beating his peers to satisfy his own ego. Bakugo's at the point where he's even indirectly encouraging Izuku, the guy he treated like an insect, to get stronger and better himself too.

I could see Todoroki using the match as a way to measure how far he has come with utilizing his Fire.

And even if Bakugo is getting over his issues, he still wants to be the best. Part of the reason he pushes Deku is so he can prove definitively that he's better than him.

O'Clocks quirk is the same as Number Six's quirk. And by that I'm speaking literally, Six has O'Clock's stolen quirk.

Huh. AFO must have caught him the moment he slowed down, or just caught him off guard.

True to an extent, he wants to be the best, but his motivations have changed. He's not super insecure and stuck in his complex anymore, now he's genuinely about bettering himself rather than kicking other people down to prop himself up. Granted, he's always gonna have his comedic moments of over-the-top anger, and I could see him momentarily gloating over beating Todoroki as a call-back to the Sports Festival, but like, not as a serious character thing.

At this point Bakugo recognizes that he genuinely needs to change his attitude in order to succeed. While he's still as hype about winning as always, he's much more willing to acknowledge the strengths and contributions of other people, rather than throwing a fit when somebody does something better than him.

Basically imo it would feel like a bit of a character regression for Bakugo to get super pressed about beating Todoroki for his own ego, rather than as a way for both of them to get stronger.

I mean, you saw his reaction to when they passed Endeavor's test...dude's still a little shit, less of one no doubt, but I think he'd pop off a little bit. Hell, he was making excuses for why he couldn't keep up with Endeavor too.

In the event that Shoto did beat him, I think he'd take it well enough; he'd no doubt be a Sore Loser about it, but he'd use that to motivate himself even further.

Yeah, agreed, he's always going to have a bit of arrogant ass in him, especially for gags, but he's aiming his attitude in a more positive direction now.

I kind of want it to happen now, just to round out our main trio. Deku's already fought both Bakugo and Todoroki.

I want a rematch to happen just for closure, but I'm not sure it will. Todoroki doesn't really seem to think of Bakugo or Izuku as rivals to beat anymore.

For similar reasons, I'm doubtful of an Izuku and Todoroki rematch, even though I'm very curious how it would go now.

I think Bakugo is too busy trying to stay above Deku and all his new shiny quirks to care about Todoroki at this point.

Like, back in the early days and the Sports festival, Todoroki was basically the main guy showing Bakugo that he's not as awesome as he thinks.

But now that he knows that his idol handpicked Deku of all people to be his succesor and the extent of Of A's power, the hit to his ego from that was so bad that Todoroki is basically nothing in comparison.

I had a feeling he had his Quirk stolen by All for One.

Going back to Dabi for a bit, it really isn't that surprising that he's more unhinged than he originally seemed.

We were told when he was first introduced to the League he hadn't really done anything, but immediately afterwards he was totally fine going on murder sprees. Someone doesn't transition seamlessly from nothing to murder without something already being off.

That's actually a part of Shigaraki's backstory I liked that seems like people overlooked - even after AFO took him in, it took years for Tenko to actually be accept his "just kill whoever you don't like" philosophy.

Feels like he has a few more kills than we know, or something, honestly. Either he is crazier than we know even now or just haven't been linked to his downward spiral.
