Charisse burst out laughing the moment Alexia started sputtering and failing to talk.

"D-didn't you a-almost break his p-pelvis or something?" She coughed out between bursts of laughter.

Novus 6

I'm trying to avoid looking so I don't get those faces you make on my face! Plus, I'm one of those maids anyway!

Charisse fidgeted around in her outfit.

When the chef finished with Carol and Lucas's order, she took it from the counter and brought it over to them.

"Here's your orders, masters~" Charisse said, placing the platter down and giving them their requested foodstuffs. She held the empty platter up to her chest and bowed politely.

Her blush was still there, of course.

Her eyes darted over to where Ai was, and her face reflected both confusion and amusement at the same time for a few moments.

Confusion, for what Glen was even doing in a place like this. Amusement, for what Ai was plotting/doing.

The 6th - Sisters

Ieria frowned a bit at what they said. "Strange...it is rather worrying, but Dragon Faunus or not, Beth is Beth." She said with a smile as she kissed her sister's forehead.

Novus 5

"Huh." Ayers said with a nod, seemingly satisfied with such a curt answer. "Does Carnation mean something special? I heard once that flowers had all sorts a fancy meanings, that true?"

Ayers slapped his head with an audible clang! "Ah, okay, I gitcha. Misunderstood. Just don't use that as an excuse to back out, now, y'hear?" He headed on over to the room and tossed the leg on the bed, then called back "Arright, c'mon over'n git it!"

Pinching the bridge of his nose as he sat down, the Highlander murmured <"Just remember that once this is all over you can drink until you forget it. Fucking Southrons">

Not even bothering with the menu, Glen muttered "Just get me a medium rare steak or the nearest equivalent."

Alexia groaned and promptly sat on the nearest chair and continued covering her face. "Something I regret very much."

The princess mumbled something incoherent and looked up with a pleading expression.

"Can we not talk about this?"

Novus 5: Or I might make the conversation an omake or something, I'm tired

Alexia stared at the ghost of her sister, a mystified expression on her face. For her part, Erin looked...overwhelmed and embarassed.

The two sisters spoke for a long time, sharing nervous laughter and no small amount of tears from Alexia. Finally, after some hours, the younger princess excused herself with an apology and left the roof.

As Erin rejoined with Glen, she spoke a single word.

Happy...

Novus 6

Alexia resisted the urge to throw a shoe at him. She was annoyed that he'd ignored her. However....well, her boyfriend looked kind of adorable, looking like a little kid at a candy store.

In the end, she burst into giggles and sat next to him. "You're an idiot." she said fondly.

Beth grinned happily and glomped Ieria one more time, back to her cheerful self.

"Classic Ieria." said Carol, smiling.

Beth agreed. "We love you! So, um,anywaaaay, we'll be cheering you on at the pageant!"

Maidssss

As Lucas put on the lens, the first thing that happened was pain. Intense, burning pain, like his eye had been doused in acid. So much pain, like it would never stop.

However, the feeling faded...and slowly, slowly, something else....

A blurry picture. Then clearer. A girl with dark hair, scars, and metal arms. She was black and white and his vision was only in one eye.

But...

He could see her. Carol. The one who loved him.

"Love?"

5th, post conversation

With Erin rejoining him once more, the Highlander rose to his feet once again and began to make his way back to MAGC's dorm.

So, what'd you two end up talkin' about if you dinnae mind me askin'?

Novus 4: Practice

Ai joined Charisse in the laughter, especially when Alexia did not even come remotely close to following her instructions at all.

"Terrible! That was terrible!" she said.

She wiped a tear from her eye and threw her arms around Alexia's shoulders.

"Why you always gotta be so goshdarned cute?" she said. "It's nothing to be ashamed of. Everyone breaks their partner's pelvis once in a while!"

She paused.

"Now, do you wanna go over these poses together? I'll do them with you so it's not as embarrassing."

Novus 6: Tsundere Maid Cafe

"Fine," Ai said, briskly. She crossed her arms and pretended to pout. "No drink. Make my life easy. Don't expect me to do anything extra. As if I would w-w-want to."

She snatched the menu away and walked off briskly before disappearing behind the counter.

Maid Cafe

Imuka kinda nervously stood outside, pondering entering internally, on one hand there would be cute girls and in maid outfits, on the other hand.... she would kinda rather be the one in the maid outfit. With her ears half pinned and very very red she eventually wandered in, shifting side to side slightly once she stopped moving.

Sechs turned about at the mention of his name.

"Oh, Jack. Hello. No, I don't; been out here by myself so far."

At stopping he shuffled a bit nervously, but otherwise looked right at Jack while talking.

Novus 6: Regular Maid Cafe

Ai returned from behind the counter while Glen's order went on standby. She noticed Imuka and walked over. This time, she would play the part of the classic maid, to make it even more confusing for Glen.

"Welcome back, mistress!" she said, with a wide smile and sunny demeanor totally unlike the scowl she gave Glen earlier. She bowed politely. "Please, allow me to find you a table."

Ai took to her role fairly easily. She was already having flashbacks to her time working as a waitress, pooling her earnings with Fang's busking money just to survive long enough for her Signal Academy application to go through. But this time, there were no stakes involved, and the uniform was quite a bit fancier.

"This table is free, just for you, mistress," Ai said, gesturing to another free table. "Do you mind if I call you mistress or would you prefer something else?"

Novus 6:Clever Titles

"What? Did I miss something?" Alfred said and finished the last foodbox on the table, then grabbed the scroll in his pocket, turned it on, and immediately his expression turned completely vacant. "Oh"

"Eh..." Al scratched his head. "Sorry for that, I was just..." He closed his eyes, took a deep breath and pinched the temple of his nose. "Yeah I can't justify that, I was just not paying attention to my Scroll, much. Though to be fair I thought you were busy and no one would call me now. Gah."

"Really sorry for that, I'm here now, so what did you need me for Lexi?"

Novus 6

"Maids. Ah fuckin' love maids." Noa grinned widely, jacket flapping behind her as she put her arm around Charisse's shoulders. "Well, dat 'n Ah love f- Well, Ah mean no disrespect, but Ah woulda jumped ya by now if ya weren't an item wit Ai, see?"

This was a heavy breach of etiquette, but Noa never was one for playing by the rules. She just winked at the goat before she pointed to her table.

"Gonna need some coffee. Black. Darker den night 'n more bitter den one o' dem Vacuo divorcees."

Novus 4

Charisse turned away from Ai and pouted. "And you still haven't apologized for it. Way too many leg days I had to miss because of that.."

"But she is pretty cute, isn't she?"

Novus 6

Charisse reflexively jolted when Noa put her arm around her.

"R-right, I, er.. what?" She stammered, turning her head around to look at her. Noa would clearly see Charisse obviously and bluntly run her eyes over her body. "Uh..."

She shook her head, and then blushed. "Y-yes, M-mistress. Right away." She nodded, turned away, then went off to go fetch Noa's black coffee. She took the lone cup, placed it on the tray she had been holding this whole time, then brought it over to the table where Noa was currently sitting. She placed the cup down, and curtseyed. "Do you need anything else, Mistress?"

Novus 6

Noa snickered at Charisse the moment she noticed the goat checking her out. She had to admit, the maid right there had just as much muscle mass. It wouldn't be bad if the two of them were pressed into each other, but she wasn't about to do that in public. What was she, a Jade?

As Charisse went off to get her coffee, Noa returned to her seat. She would've propped her legs up on the table, but tipping the damn thing over was way too likely. So, she settled for leaning back in her chair and watching her counterpart get to work. When she got her coffee, she took a sip and nodded slowly.

"Just one thing. Come closer, y'hear?" She gestured to Charisse, her wide eyed look sort of manic as her other hand tapped the armrest of her chair.

Novus 5: The Date

“It’s true,” Chiharu responded. “Carnations, for example, can have many meanings, depending on the color of the petals. Dark red carnations, for example, are a symbol of deep love and affection”

Novus 6: This Shoddy Thing Took Forever To Write

"Ack! " Lucas yelled out. He hunched over, his head in his hands as he felt a burning sensation in his left eye. He had meant to keep calm, not cause a scene with all of this, but he hadn't expected to be holding back yell of pain due to the process.

Just as the feeling of acid in his eye had started, though, it died down, and Lucas, slightly nervous about what he would see (or even if he would see anything), Lucas sat up and opened his eyes

"..."

…Before all this had started, before the lens was even given to him, he wasn't sure how Carol would look. She had mentioned to him before how she wasn't pretty after her time, but he had seen her in the flashbacks, and she seemed beautiful to him. Still, that was in the prior world, and he was unsure about how much his girlfriend had changed.

So upon seeing Carol, he took in the sight of her. He took in the scars, the metal arms, and couldn't help but feel a twinge of anger at Steiner for what he did to her. That bastard was supposed to be her father, and instead, he ripped her apart as if she were a guinea pig. But he didn’t linger on them. He also took in the good about her – her long, smooth dark hair that was currently in a ponytail, her face, still smooth and youthful-looking in spite of the scars, and the spark in her eye, one of humor and confidence and life – and he knew. The girl he loved was still there, still...

"...Beautiful," he finally said, a smile on his face.

Novus 6

That inky black liquid. Charisse could never understand why people would willing drink it without anything else in it. She had heard about some crazy Vacuonese people who drank coffee more than they drank plain water, and that just sounded unhealthy.

At Noa's request, she tilted her head slightly to the side. "Yes, Mistress?" she asked, getting closer to her and bending over slightly in the process (despite the fact that Noa was taller than her, the girl was currently sitting down).

Novus 6

With the maid close enough to hear her whisper, Noa only gave her a predatory grin before she leaned in.

"You. Two hours. Meet me out back."

Her strong hand reached over, roughly squeezing Charisse's rear as she delivered her message. Looks like she really didn't care much about the part where her counterpart was in a relationship, after all.

Arena Flashback

Pius let out a reflexive pained grunt when Rufus slammed him into the ground, but he quickly recovered with an omnidirectional blast of air that would repel Rufus and help him backflip onto his own two feet. The Nobel quickly launched a pair of icy blasts at his opponent's legs, following up with two shocking blasts aimed at his torso.

Pius was quiet as he observed the crowd of students and customers of the festival, a little surprised at how energetic people could be in the middle of winter. He had even shared a laugh with his siblings before they moved on, each to their own set of teammates and friends.

Alexia is preparing with the other girls, and undoubtedly Medus is with Ieria. So now...I wait. And there the gray-eyed Nobel stood, watching the happier world pass him by.

NOVUS 6

Jack looked at Sechs, slowly realizing that he had no idea about who he was, they had said hi, but otherwise... "Wanna go check out that haunted Dorm?" He asked, "I've been looking for a group, they're no fun to do by yourself."

Novus 6

"Two hours? I-ah-I.." Charisse stammered, looking everywhere besides Noa. "I don't know.. I- "

When Noa grabbed her rear, a voice came from the far end of the cafe.

"Ma'am, please don't handle our waitresses. You have been warned." It was her boss. The tone of voice clearly implied that this was something they said often.

Charisse herself reacted with a sharp jolt, and then immediately retreated to her place in front of the counter. Her face clearly showed how flustered she was.

She covered it a little with her tray.

And how was she supposed to explain this?

"Aw..." Ayers snapped his fingers in frustration, which sounded like a bullet pinging off a car. "Sorry, shoulda brought some Carnations, then, dang." He blushed, both out from the sudden thrill of even being that forward, and from embarrassment—he really should have brought some flowers... "So y'all're clearly perdy invested in this here flower shop, how'd y'all git it anyway?"

Cafe

The poor fox did... not really expect this, although it is hard to tell what she expected in the first place, but the end resault is she has gone compleatly red and swayed even more, "Ummm... T-There is no need too... maybe I have the wrong place.... sorry"

Novus 6

"When yer shift's done, den. Ah learned how ta be patient. 'n trust me, Ahm gonna make it worth yer while." Noa finished up with a wink before Charisse fled. Oh, yeah. This was definitely going to turn out fine.

"No worries, no worries. Won't be happenin' 'gain while she's on duty." Noa said breezily, lifting up her mug of coffee as if to toast Charisse's boss. She took another sip before looking back at her counterpart. "Don't be forgettin', Char. Ah'll be waitin' fer ya."

Novus 4

Alexia sighed deeply, forcing dowh her embarassment before shooting her fiercest glare at Charisse (which, admittedly wasn't very fierce).

"I'm sorry for going on a tangent. Umm, yes, thank you, Ai. Together would be nice."

Here comes the Ships: Novus 5, Glerin

Erin seemed to smile, or at least, Glen felt a surge of happiness from her.

Small talk, mostly. We talked about my...our...family. It was odd, but I felt like I'd known her forever.

...Thank you for letting me talk to her, Glen.

Novus 6, Princess and Knight

Alexia couldn't help but giggle again at the look on his face, previous annoyance completely gone.

She poked him lightly on the forehead. "I was looking for you to see if you could help me with my nerves, but I think you just did. By being the most adorable idiot I've ever met."

Novus 6, Maidssss

Carol had a worried look on her face as she watched Lucas put on the lens.

"H-hey, love! Are you okay?! I'll fucking kill Max if he hurts you-!"

And then he said that word....beautiful.

Carol froze, jaw dropped comically. She blushed and started looking away, scratching the back of her head nervously.

"M-me? I'm not...not..."

At that moment, however, Carol noticed something behind Lucas.

"Holy shit." Carol was awed.

Because a new maid had come into view. Blushing, looking like she wanted the ground to swallow her...was Alice.

No. Ignore that bitch. We aren't going to fucking betray Ai. Mia's voice was angry, and Charisse could feel her desire to smash Noa's face in.

Novus 6, Pius

"Look out, boy!"

That was all the warning Pius got as a pure white cat smacked him in the face as it jumped.

"Ah...well, apologies."

Walking towards him was a woman. Random students had all stopped moving and were staring at said woman. No one could blame them, however.

She was beautiful beyond words. Pale like snow, with silver-white hair to match. A face with elegant, elfin features, Blue eyes like a winter sea. And a figure that would have made Alexia groan with jealousy. She seemed to be in her late twenties, twenty-seven at the most and dressed in a modest dress in the Atlasian style.

"Lady Nelia-!" Pius could hear the whispers.

Cornelia Azul. Actress, model, goodwill ambassador, the most famous beauty queen in Remnant.

Welp.

Follow the Wind.

Of course, it seemed like his plans didn't exactly go according to what he wanted. Somehow, a gust of wind caused his straw hat to fly off in the opposite direction from the contest. Grumbling and chasing after it as it rolled away...and into the Maid Cafe.

"...Ah, crud. ...Well, what's the worse that can happen?"

Shrugging, he strolled into the cafe confidently in an attempt to find his hat.
