Appearance: This picture is a lie. Merrick◊ does not know one end of a sword from the other. Also, he's missing his trademark red bandanna.

Weapons and Equipment: The Variable Response Suit, Mk. XII. Also known as "The Chained King◊", it is the latest in a series of advanced armored suits developed by the elements formerly associated with the leading names in Dust Application technology and robotics.

Utilizing the current advancements in artificial intelligence, the belt controls and activates each part of the suit as it fits itself on to its wielder. Once Gage activates the suit by way of the special key built into his Scroll (which he slots on to the belt), that is when the Chained King reveals its glory.

Utilizing a modified version of the school's lockers (in agreement with the Beacon faculty), Gage makes for a versatile combatant with the form below:

• Vanguard Mode - The default fighting form of the Chained King. It enhances Gage's strength, speed and durability in combat. Primarily armed with what the user has dubbed "the Storm Lash" which is only a length of dock chain.

Mighty as the suit seems to be, if one piece of the Dormant Mode is not on his body, the Chained King will refuse to activate. The brain trust have other forms and weapons already in development, but until Gage proves himself, he will make due with the single form.

Lastly, this shadowy body has seen fit to improve Gage's old bike, a Hornet◊ cruiser almost half junk parts, with a remote homing beacon tuned in to the belt. Once he sends a pulse, the Hornet makes all haste to get to its user.

Semblance: Aura Switch - Gage is capable of switching places with any single Aura-generating being in a radius of 30 ft. Aside from the usual limitations of Aura, Gage has to have line of sight with the person or thing he's shifting with Anything that blocks Aura or his line of sight will cancel the Semblance.

Personality: Gage has always tried to walk the straight and narrow path. You know that jazz; help your fellow man, don't steal. It's just... The crooked path is fun. Gage can be selfish and lazy, but he'll always step up when it's time to face the music. Surrender doesn't exist in his vocabulary and every gang he's run with can attest to him having their backs in thick or thin.

Bio: Formerly a shiftless delinquent from Vale's lower classes, Merrick Gage ran afoul of the Chained King Project when he impulsively stole a truck from one of an SDC shipping facility. In the ensuing chase, he crippled their candidate when the poor man attempted to save a father and daughter from being run over. Seeing the man fall and convulse in agony made the delinquent that enough was enough.

He turned himself in and readied himself for a long period behind bars, until a lawyer in a nondescript suit came to him with a proposition. Anyone else would have just cut and run, but Merrick Gage, upon seeing what harm his joy ride caused, turned around to take his punishment like a man. Seizing upon his moral fiber, they came to him with a proposition: take up the Chained King, the candidate's Beacon application, and fight the good fight!

Or refuse and prepare to learn how to start making shivs... To Gage, the choice was obvious.

Other Notes: The Chained King draws inspiration from a load of places; chiefly the Mark V armor from Iron Man 2, the Sword Regalia Mk. III from Kill La Kill and various Kamen Riders.

I just wanna say that I don't want to join this RP. It sounds fun, but honestly I don't think I'd be comfortable joining this RP.

• Name: Sophie Volkonova
• Gender: Female
• Age: 17
• Race: Human
• Appearance: ...
• Weapons and Equipment: Thunder Down Under: An advanced high-tech boomerang with several settings. It can not only be heat-seeking but lock onto and seek out a person's specific Aura. It can switch from bouncing off objects and walls to being completely razor sharp as a blade.
• Semblance: Bio-Growth: Sophie can create multiple copies of different body parts on any surface within a 5-foot radius, including her own body. The extra limbs and body parts she can create do not feel pain like her normal ones do.
• Personality: Due to Sophie's interesting...situation, she actually has four different personalities in direct confrontation with each other. Each personality thinks they are in a different kind of fictional medium. The personalities are all aware of the existence of each other, and inhabit Sophie's body. They usually switch after she sleeps, or under direct stress or surprise. Whichever personality is dominate is denoted by text color. Her voice and eye color change depending on the personality that is in control.
  • Sophie: The original personality. She thinks she is in a video game. Sophie is quiet, and may come off as completely emotionless. She doesn't really know how to handle social situations, and is easily confused. She enjoys video games, and has a weakness for sweets. She can never say no if those things are involved. She gets easily bored and often takes sudden naps, even when standing up. She can be very blunt and ask a lot of personal questions, and make a lot of personal comments without meaning to. She is easily embarrassed, even though she does not show much emotion. She really does not showing off her body. She often thinks of life in gaming terms and tropes, as that is all she is really familiar with. She barely puts up with her other personalities and finds their antics to be a huge nuisance, but she still has a personality connection to them due to their past.
  • Baxter: The only male personality. He thinks he is the protagonist of a shonen manga. Baxter is boisterous, loud and dynamic. He is a kind and loyal soul, and is deluded into seeing himself as a superhero. He is very chivalrous, but very much enjoys flirting and hitting on pretty girls. He cares about loyalty and justice and can't stand acts of evil. he can be quite selfish and boastful, always looking for opportunities to show off feats of strength. He often tries to act out Shonen tropes. He hates situation that make him seem or feel unmanly, and hates being stuck in a girl's sexy body. He's kind of an idiot.
  • Tori: The girliest personality. She thinks she is the protagonist of a girly teen romance sitcom. Tori is a silly, stuck-up teenage valley girl. She prides popularity, and girly colorful things. She likes to make friends, and she is very vain. But she is also very silly and immature, often a trickster and speak in strange non-sequiturs. She is the most emotional and reactive of the four personalities, and is often a drama queen. She is also hopelessly greedy. She likes to show off her body and has a lot of things like fashion and make-up. She is obsessed with romance and lovey-dovey things. She also hosts a weekly webshow for the students of Beacon.
  • Khayla: The evil one. She thinks she is the villain and final boss. Khayla is a selfish, sadistic, dominating tiger faunus who only cares about herself and her desires. She is also masochistic, as long as Sophie's body is concerned. She is regularly mean and detached from the concerns of others, and often takes pleasure in the misery of others. She is not above murder and torture, and has a strong personal desire to completely take over Sophie's body for herself. She is the most intelligent of the personalities.
• Bio: Sophie was born in a land far to the north, where it was always cold, and the Grimm were very vicious. She only spent a small part of her childhood there, and was good friends with Lucas at a young age. Her family was forced to move, due to the changing nature of her scientist father's job. As a young girl, Sophie gained a strong interest in technology and video games. She was never good at making friends or talking to people, so she saw video games as a way to connect and learn about things and different kinds of people. Eventually, she became friends with three hopeful Hunters, Baxter, Tori and Khayla. On a mission, they were faced against a very powerful and menacing Grimm. This Grimm had the ability to possess others. In the fight that last hours, Sophie's friends all died. She was able to kill the beast, but it left her scarred. She later discovered that her body was now home to the souls of her three friends, who now all share Sophie's body. While Sophie sleeps, she is able to have conversations with the three of them, and when she wakes up, a new one takes over the body.
• Year so far: Sophie has been at Beacon for nearly a month. She's met back up with her childhood friend Lucas, revealed to the others that she has multiple souls inside her body, and has gone one a few adventures during her short time at Beacon. She helped with a Drug Bust, journeyed to the Land of Oz, and she has become enemies rivals with Jack.

Only one problem with your sheet, Saturn, which has to do with both your personality and history sections since they're closely related: Grim stated that in BU only Pius has suffered a loss in his team, and that everyone else's team roster has always been that way. This also means that Team SLCR is the only team Sophie knows, and that she's been in Beacon for almost a month like everyone else.

Also, Grimm can't interact with Dust because they have no Aura. I'm sorry I'm making this difficult, Saturn. It's nothing personal, but this Sophie's history conflicts with what Grim Helm has established.

Idea: What if Sophie was just the Sophie personality, which sort of looks like the Sophie you played back in B1, and her actions IC were just her trying to change herself, only to revert back to her old ways because she was rejected by both Lucas and Ieria for acting as she did?

Changed a couple things.

I made it so that these three personalities were friends Sophie made before she became a Beacon student. Hunter Hopefuls, and I removed the Dust thing too.

The thing is that I really like this multiple personalty of past friends idea, and since we have already established ghosts to the canon, I felt like it could work.

I added a suggestion to my post, but I think you edited your bio before I could get it out. Did you read it?

Edit: So you did read it. Hmm...I'll leave it up to Grim (It's his call anyway). Characters with split personalities just seem so tricky to write and deal with.

Also, I just noticed your Year So Far section is still non-canon. Please fix that.

What should I change her Year so Far to?

Well, for starters, she's been in Beacon for nearly a month, just like everyone else. She's with her childhood friend Lucas on a team, she's helped with the Drug Bust, gone to the Land of Oz, and anything else from B1 canon that's made into BU canon that you think she's done.

Also, how on earth did any of Sophie and her friends trust Khayla, given how she is as a person?

I was under the impression that Sophie joined way later, and had only been there for a few days.

Sorry for the confusion, then, but Grim stated way back when he first announced BU that "All formed teams except the Urujauni example above will act as if it had been that way since Initiation." That's how it is, Saturn.

Also, anything that is still canon in this timeline that Sophie was part of can still be canon to her, if you so choose.

Again, though it doesn't mean anything against Grim's acceptance: how did anyone in Sophie's little band of hopefuls trust Khayla? Also, who exactly knows about her split personalities? Is it just Team SLCR, or do others know?

As for the last question, I'll declare this: Ozpin made her reveal it to the entire dorm.

Sophie and the others didn't know Khayla was literally evil. Just kind of a mean, tough girl, who they put up with because they were all childhood friends. But now that they are all stuck together in Sophie's mind, they know better.

Alright, then. You should probably inform everyone else about that on the OOC.

Okay, so this looks fairly interesting, but I've got a couple of questions. How much do I need to know about the universe in question? What exactly are we training to fight against?

And, perhaps most importantly, are there still places left? ^_^;

Alright, first off, this is a RWBY roleplay. Knowledge on volume 1 is required, and knowledge on volume 2 is recommended.
