Well I'm voting entirely democratic with some Democratic socialists to shore up resistance against the name whose name shouldn't be said.

They arent going to censor anything. What they will do is charge webpages different rates depending on how much speed they want to buy for the people who visit their sites. Smaller websites like this one are less likely to be able to afford such rates, and so they are more likely to shut down than larger, more popular ones, which can pay out of their ad revenue.

Which can become censorship, if they start to charge sites with different opinions differently.*shrugs*

TV Tropes falls under what I was talking about with niche websites earlier, I thought. Not sure if there's profit to be had in going after us.

Again, they wont be "going after" anybody, except as it relates to profits. This is a financially-motivated action, not an ideolgocal one.

As a text-and-images site, TV Tropes probably won't be significantly affected by any bandwidth throttling that ISPs are likely to do.

Theoretically. But the lack of rules leaves things wide open for ideological abuses.

Comcast isn't owned by Sinclair. (Yes, I know, don't give them ideas.) Their objective is short-term profit at all costs; they don't have a percentage in liberal or conservative except as it affects their abillity to abuse their employees and customers.

Still, hopefully this all lights a fire under Alphabet's ass and gets them back to competing with Comcast and so on. Google needs a free and open internet to make money off their core business.

Considering who all they represent (Microsoft, Amazon, etc.) they probably have the firepower to get something done.

And I'm still pumping out anti Pai and anti-Trump papers and encouraging people to use public wifi such as cafe's,libraries and so on.

Apparently, over 6,000 small businesses have joined forces under the Fight for the Future banner to sign an open letter asking for support for the CRA rolling back Pai's small business-harming destruction of net neutrality.

So... not sure how many people care, but I looked it up and the GA net neutrality bill is apparently still on the table.

I'm kind of surprised, but I have low standards for our state government at the moment, so yeah.

Well isn't that pleasantly surprising, it probably isn't likely but it would be nice if it gets passed all the same.

New York is looking to pass a bill that's equivalent to the one recently passed in California.

Now that California is ours and hopefully New york puts it into play then Pai and his cronies will back off or die from a myocardial infarction then that would be very good.
